Charming, decorative old Japanese handcraft with 2 ladies in a boat. 


Delicately made of fine fabrics (the faces are made of plaster.


Site: 4,4 x 6,5 inches. Minor aging.  Funny, old Japanese postcard in the style of a woodblock print, depicting a lady lying on the floor and reading. Her husband gives her a massage while her child is crying and the cat finishes a fish on their table.


Unused postcard with a repair ( repaired tear at lower left edge). App. 1910  Scarce postcard from Pre World War 1 period: Japanese Ultimatum to Germany. The title reads "I don’t have any time for that right now, firstly I’d gotta beat the red trousers (China) and the Russian fur".


Mint postcard, published by Albert Ebner, Munich.


Very fine condition.  Beautifully detailed, this carved design centers around a dragon. The plate is 9 1//4 in. in diameter. It has a sticker on the bottom stating Made in China. It is resin. The colors are very vibrant.

Decorative, tinted vintage postcard from ca. 1910, depicting 2 young Japanese ladies as they kneel on the floor and enjoy tea.


2 corners have light creasing – so the price is reduced.  Old Japanese postcard, depicting young Japanese ladies in traditional Kimono in a garden in front of a typical Japanese house.  Old Japanese postcard, depicting a grandmother, carrying her grandchild at her back and holding a lacquer parasol.

Unused, fine condition.  a fine iron tsuba for japanese samurai sword that dates to the mid Edo period, placing its creation date at approximately 1680 to 1710 AD


Signed: KUNI HIRO , this simple, yet elegant design is typical of tsuba used in battle.

This fine piece is of hand forged iron which has aged to produce a wonderful, dark patina.

Decorative, tinted Japanese postcard, depicting a pretty young lady in traditional Kimono with lacquer-apron and flowers.


Unused postcard in fine condition.  Two decorative, tinted Japanese postcards, depicting 2 ladies in colorful Kimono. One postcard is fine, the other has blemishes from sticking tape at the left and right margins.  This old Japanese Tsuka is split and missing everything except the ray skin applied to the sides. All the wood pieces are present so this would make a good start for a restoration.  9.5 inches long. 1 3/8 x 13/16 wide at front.  This is a wonderful example of a Japanese late War type of Tsuka from a Army Officer's Shin Gunto sword. This is a great piece for someone looking to restore or repair a damaged original or rebuild for a sword that is missing its handle.  9 3/8 inches long, 1 1/4 x 3/4 at front

Late War Japanese Gunto Tsuka. Parts $88.00

Here is an early WWII Japanese Tsuka, or sword handle that needs some work, but still has a lot of potential. This tsuka is from a Japanese Army Shin Gunto Sword and although it is cracked, the wood is all there and could be restored with some TLC.  Nice white Shark skin is still tight and in good condition.  Length is  10 3/16 inches. Width at front 1 1/4 x 5/8   A very nice antique Japanese Samurai sword tsuba or (hand guard) dating from the late 17 to early 1800s.  Forged in iron this tsuba has a very simply scroll design around the outside edge and it measures 2 7/8 inches in diameter.  The tsuba is hammered at slight a taper with the thinnest portion being near the edge.  Excellent "ring" denoting a good temper.  I guarantee this fully to be an authentic original antique tsuba.  Old Japanese postcard, tinted. The postcard depicts a pretty Japanese lady with shawl and coat and a huge lacquer umbrella.

The Russo-Japanese War 1904 –1905 or the Manchurian Campaign in some English sources, was a conflict that grew out of the rival imperialist ambitions of the Russian Empire and the Empire of Japan over Manchuria and Korea. The major theatres of operations were Southern Manchuria, specifically the area around the Liaodong Peninsula and Mukden, and the seas around Korea, Japan, and the Yellow Sea.  Old Postcard for the period of the Japanese occupation of Northern China.

Unused postcard from ca. 1910.  Old Japan: God Fukurokuju with an umbrella.


Fukurokuju, is one of the 7 Japanese Gods of Good Fortune. He is in charge of health and physical strength. This postcard shows him with an extremely high forehead - a symbol of strength.


According to some, before attaining divinity, he was a Chinese hermit of the Sung Dynasty and a reincarnation of the Taoist god Hsuan-Wu. It is said that during his human incarnation, he was a sennin; a philosopher who could exist without eating food.


Some aging at the back side and some toning, slight corner knocks.  Japanese vintage postcard, tinted. It sows a procession crossing a bridge near Kyoto.

The Aoimatsuri is the annual festival of the Shimogamo - jinja Shrine and the Kamigamo - jinja Shrine. Its actual name is "Kamo Festival" and it is one of the three important festivals in Kyoto.

 This is a wonderful cloisonne ebony vase with colorful floral accents. It stands 4 in. tall and is 3 in. in diameter at the widest part. It shows normal wear and dates approximately in the 1970's.

 This vintage oriental soapstone carving has an encised mark, China. It is beautifully hand carved with a single vase design with carvings on one side. It is 3 3/4 in. long, 1 1/2 in. tall, and 1 1/4 in. wide. Approximate date is circa 1936. There is a small nick in the edge of the vase and also on the bottom, neither very noticeable.
