Vintage Japanese vase pair. Gorgeous vases with black symbol on bottoms and JAPAN. No chips or cracks and stand 5.75 inches tall. This must have been a popular design because in my books on vintage Japan ceramics, there are numerous items like bisquit jars, reamers, sugar bowls, etc. with this design on them, (multi-color floral motif). A great pair for your vintage Japan collection! Pretty to put one on each nightstand with some silk flowers!  Occupied Japan display plate. c.1948-1953. Gorgeous plate featuring pink and white roses. It is 8 x 8 inches and has no chips or cracks. Backstamp reads: AIYO China in a banner, Made in Occupied Japan; also has the original paper label price tag for 79 cents! A very collectible plate since Japan was only occupied by US forces for a brief period after WW2. These look great displayed in wall plate hangers or on pie stands; see pics for ideas!  This wonderful Imperial Imari style porcelain bowl has a printed mark and is detailed with a tree design accented with floral blossoms. This would be considered a modern piece. The bowl is 9 1/4 in. in diameter and is 4 in. in height.  Oriental Tin glazed boat shaped bowl. It has an oriental warrior look to it, Imari? Vintage Japan low vase. No chips or cracks, and just a bit of the cold paint has flecked off. It bears the incised Made In Japan mark on the bottom, and measures 6.5 wide x 2 high. I think this one is shown in one of the Made in Japan books. A lovely little vase for the vintage Japan collector! If it wasn't marked Japan, you'd swear it was Mexican pottery! brncs  Vintage ceramic decorative covered bowls. Really charming brown glazed covered jars/bowls with painted flowers on the tops and handles. They bear an incised Made in Japan, which signifies they were likely made between 1921-1940. They are almost identical to the Made in Japan irons I have listed for sale, (in coloring & flower motif). These are made with a dark red clay and they are in great condition, no chips or cracks that I see. You could use them for trinkets, pins, or pot pourri. They measure about 7.5 wide x 3 high. They are also very well-made, the lids are quite heavy.  A small vintage Oriental bottle flask, decorated with flowers on a brick coloured background. Long spout (for pouring tea or rice wine?). Has a small chip to edge of bottle neck rim, otherwise in very good condition. Has seal type mark in red (faded) on bottom, but I can’t decipher it. Measures 11cm (4.1/4 inches) high.  This figurine is blue and white china and is 11 1/2 in. tall. At the widest point it is 6 in. wide. It is signed on the bottom with Chinese characters and the word China. It is in excellent condition.

Attractive Ching dynasty Chinese porcelain hat (or cap) stands that were also used as vases. Each is decorated in famille rose enamels, and is 11" in height and 5" in diameter.  Wonderful example of old scenic Egyptian style Nippon candlesticks. These triangular candlesticks are decorated on all sides and depict palms, pyramids and the Nile. The palm trees are nicely outlined in gold and there is gold beading along both the bottom and top edge of each. Hard to find item in excellent condition. Height:~8.  Vintage Made in Japan coffeepot. It has a very faint incised JAPAN mark under the glaze on the bottom near the rim, (which you need to look at in strong light to even see it). This is an OLD ONE, look at the bottom rim and the crazing! Cute for display or as a vase. No chips or cracks, just the crazing which gives it that charming vintage look. It measures 7 high x 4.5 across at the bottom.  Vintage Japan vase. It has a creamy matte ivory color and a dry bottom rim, and the Made in Japan mark in black ink on the bottom. No chips or cracks and just some very faint crazing, and one tiny depression in upper rim, (factory flub). It is a really lovely piece that would fit into many types of decor. This is an ornate vase that was produced in Occupied Japan. It stands approximately 3 ¾ inches tall and has a footed base. This piece has a light all over crazing which adds to the great aged appearance. The bottom is marked SS made in Occupied Japan. This miniature vase is in perfect condition.  This is a beautiful set of 6 papier-mache coasters in a round papier-mache box. All pieces are adorned with red roses and greenery and are set on a background of gold. The bottom of the items read: HIGHMOUNT QUALITY, ALCOHOL PROOF, MADE IN JAPAN. They are in like new condition.  A pretty straight-sided 19th century Chinese lidded pot. In the famille rose style, but with turquoise-coloured background. The panels show birds in tree branches - one side shows the birds with blossom and fir cones, and the other side just shows them with the fir branches. The lid has a band of pink decoration around another panel of birds. Pot stands 9.5cm (3.3/4 inches) high and is 8.3cm (3.1/4 inches) diameter. It has cracks and an old repair to the lid (see photos). The body has a few rim nibbles to the top (inside where the lid covers it). A nice piece for a decorative collection.  This is a wonderful Imari 8 inch plate. Notice all of the rich colors on this plate. I am showing several close-ups so you can really appreciate the intricate details in this piece. The back is marked Imari porcelain and the original paper label is also still attached. This piece is in like new condition. Mint!

Hand-painted Kyoto satsuma earthenware cups and saucers decorated with Samurai warriors primarily in black, gold and rust; cups have relief dragon handles. Both the cups and saucers are highly detailed and all pieces are well marked. Diameter of cups (without handles): ~3½", diameter of saucers: 5¼". Circa late 19th-early 20th century. All in excellent condition! $500/set (#G085) Individual cup and saucer also available ($150).  Covered Bowl Ceramic blue and yellow, Japan. This covered dish has a circle on the bottom with the words Hand Paint Japan around a flower. There are flowers on 3 sides of the bowl, shaped into the ceramic, and then painted over.
