Lovely authentic Chinese embroidered mat featuring a satin stitch exotic floral design accented with butterflys in shades of blue, green, brown, orange, melon, red, purple. The aqua green silk satin background design is surrounded with a black brocade with designs of teal blue, gold tones, coral and pink. Overall size is 28" x 12.75", inside measures 23: x 7.75" with a beige satin cloth on backside. Stored in a drawer for 40 years….a beautiful display piece in good condition! Lovely authentic Chinese embroidered mat featuring a satin stitch exotic floral design with a butterfly in shades of blue, green, brown, orange, melon. Overall size is 11.75" x 10.25" with a brown satin cloth on backside. Stored in a drawer for 40 years….a beautiful display piece in mint condition!  Cherish this beautiful pair of quality, authentic Chinese embroidery panels done on silk satin with a brocade border. Display framed on a wall, under a glass top table or on a special table top. The matching mats feature an intricate satin stitch scene with people and flowers on a soft melon green with colors which are fresh and vivid. Surrounding the textile picture is a ribbon of white, blue, black and green, set off by a dark red border and a brocade design in teal blue, gold tones and black. The overall size of each is 25" x 9.5" with a soft red/brown satin cloth on backside. They are unused and have been stored in a drawer for over 40 years - not frayed, no rips or repairs- Mint (Note: there are light reflections which distort the brocade border, but they are perfectly matched...more photos are available)  Beautifully done, this lifelike picture of a Chinese bowl is all done in embroidery - all in knot stitch, tiny little knots giving the effect of shading and shape. Plain background fabric (could be silk - don’t want to open the cellophane to check!) Mounted in dark grey double matt with thin brown decorative border. Mounted onto thin ply. Whole measures 50 cm by 40 cm (19.3/4 inches by 15.3/4 inches). Modern. Excellent condition.  OWNER SAYS MAKE OFFER!!! Fabulous fabric of floral design using genuine gilt thread! The orange flowers indicate the kimono was made for an individual residing in Kito, Japan while the length and exquisite frabic indicate the kimono was worn in formal occasions. It would have been worn open, over other clothing, and flowing behind wearer. Signature of maker is inside front lapel! It is in good condition with some fraying of the red lining on the bottom hem, from where the komono was allowed to flow on the ground behind the wearer. Verbal appraisal obtained by Oriental Galleries of Louisville, Kentucky estimated the kimono to be valued at $2000. The kimono would be absolutely great for decorating the lobby of a Japanese resturant or business, office or home, or for the collector.

Lovely old Oriental embroidered silk Embroidery. The workmanship is beautiful as are the colors. It measures about 11 inches by 10 inches, in excellent condition, but for a very light water mark, hardly noticeable . There are some age spots and a few minor areas of worn silk from age on the pajamas. The slippers are in very good condition.
