This is an original Philadelphia high chest - walnut with poplar & yellow pine secondary woods - dove-tailed case, original tall ogee bracket feet - full dust boards - and carved quarter columns. This one has everything you could want and stands 71.25 inches tall (right at 6 feet); 40.5 inches wide (45.5 inches at the crown); and 21 inches deep.   Outstanding condition - old refinish.  The only replacements are the brasses.


This item must be picked up.  We may be able to deliver in the central Virginia area or along our normal travel routes - typically Southwestern Virginia to Eastern Pa.  We will assist buyer with a Freighter but the buyer must make all arrangements.


Virginia buyers pay sales tax of 5%,  Pine Wardrobe measures 79 3/4 inches tall x 54 inches width and 19 3/4 depth. The construction is mortise and tenon and is excellent condition, with orginial hardware. You might be interested that inside width is 18 inches (more than hanger width) and 52 inches long. It has a metal rod for hanging, so it is ready to be used and enjoyed.  This Cherry Sugar Safe was made by Sam Major cabinetmaker of Fayette, Missouri about 1835 as told by Alice Blain, his great,great granddaughter. Purchased at auction June 21, 2003. There is a note inside to verifiy information. Sugar Chest is 30 inches tall, 22 inches wide and 19 3/4 inches up and down, Depth inside is 9 inches. This was used to store sugar in the 18th Century.  Walnut burled Hoop Skirt Victorian Chair, with burgandy velvet fabric in good condtion.  Meaures 22 3/4 inches tall and 32 1/2 inches wide.  Just really special

Flat Front China cabinet or cupboard walnut, cira 1880's measures 70 1/2 inches tall and 37 inches wide, four doors 2 with glass and 2 with wood. It is in orginal condtion. This also has 2 drawers with wooden knobs.  An American antique classic small drop leaf table dates to about 1875 it is handcrafted solid walnut 2 drawers flat drawer front and elegantly turned legs.  Leaves can be left up or down as you desire.  Hand crafted Walnut Small drop leaf tabke dates to around 1875 solid walnut, the front on the drawers rounded,legs are elegantly turned. Leaves can be up as pictured or down.  Walnut Nursing Rocker recaned to original

A George II mahogany games table, circa 1760, the fold over top with blocked corners, conforming skirt with cockbeaded drawer, lappet terminals on tapering legs, penny feet.  A fine french provincial carved fruitwood buffet a deux corps; late 18th century, canted cornice above vine and basket carved frieze, two doors with shaped panels mounted with fiche hinges and large escutcheons; lower case with three short drawers over two doors, shaped apron, cabriole legs.  French provincial carved walnut tripleback settee; late 18th century; bead and channel frame with sectioned backrail extending to downswept arms, top nailed padded back and bench seat on shaped rails and cabriole legs.

LATE 18TH CENTURY OAK MULE CHEST WITH RESTORATIONS.  This is a rare survivor from the late 18th  century (possibly early 19th century) in its original green paint.  This turned post child's chair was probably made in Piedmont Virginia or North Carolina - most likely Halifax County, Virginia.  23 inches high at its back, 10 inches at the seat


Condition:  1960's replacement split oak seat.  Chair is charmingly out of square.


Price reduced 11/10.  George III mahogany gateleg table; circa 1790; oval top with twin flaps supported on gatelegs with cabriole legs ending in hoof shaped pad feet.
