This item is matching the mirror item #164013NM690. A price can be negotiated for both.  Wonderful antique wood mirror in largely square shape that hangs on the wall as a diamond shape. Made of old rich, warm oak (medium color with lots of wood grain) with original beveled mirror, having two old style metal (not brass, a magnet sticks to these) double hat hangers (while these could be also used for coats, we would not recommend that kind of weight on this piece). Fully marked on the reverse side as made by the Larkin Company of Buffalo, New York in their Factory No. 2. We believe the style of this mirror is Mission style, made during the Arts & Crafts Movement or period, but are not experts in that and can't guarantee that. We do know that this came out of an elderly person's home and that the Larkin Company ceased operations in the 1940's. So while this piece shows no date of manufacture, we are guessing from the style, oak construction and type of hat hangars, that this piece was likely made in the early 1900's, probably during the 1910-1920's period.

The wood frame is solid oak (not veneer), with flat pieces surrounding the central square mirror that meet in metered diagonal lines. These wood pieces are larger/wider but thinner in depth in the front and then bevel or cut in to a slightly smaller size that is thicker in depth in the back. In reality, while the frame looks square, it is not exactly square. In the front the wood frame measures about 15 15/16 inches x 15 3/4 inches, with a depth of about 1/4 inch. In the back the wood frame measures about 15 3/8 x 15 1/2 inches with a depth of about 1/2 inch. The central mirror measures about 9 5/8 x 9 13/16 inches and has a beveled edge that is 5/8 inch wide on two sides and 3/4 inch wide on the other two sides.

The wood frame appears bolted together on the reverse side via two large screw/bolt/washer pieces, one in each of two corners. There is a thick cardboard backing over the reverse side of the mirror, with this attached to the frame via staples, but the cardboard has broken away from the staples along most of one edge and half of another (it is still firmly there with chipping in the spots where it has separated from the staples). On the cardboard is affixed the original Larkin label which states, "This article manufactured by our Factory No. 2. If you have occasion to write us about it, mention this number without fail. Do not cause useless delay for inquiry by neglecting this. Larkin Co., Buffalo, N.Y." There are two large metal pieces for holding the hanging wire. We have left the original wire attached to the piece since some people like to see this. However, since we would not recommend you hang this on that wire given its age, we have also attached in the same location new hanging wire (we used 45 pound strength; this piece unpacked weighs slightly over 7 pounds). We have provided 8 images including one with the mirror hanging and the manufacturer label, to try and show varied angles and details.

Wonderful old condition. We have not treated the wood in any way and are selling this as is/as found. The wood frame is in excellent shape. We do not see any chips, cracks, pieces missing, etc. In one corner we do see some wood wear on the tip and there are two tiny white scratch or other lines on the frontside frame in one spot, but nothing to worry about here. The mirror itself shows a lot of wear to the silvering as is common with very old mirrors. That is, when you see this in person you will see the many black dots and black smudges in the mirror (we could not get this to show in our images due to camera lighting). There are no cracks, chips or other problems with the mirror. We see a lot of bubbles in the glass/mirror, and it's possible there are a few tiny scratches, but nothing is jumping out at us. The metal hat hooks are firmly attached but can be moved slightly. They appear to be painted with a brass-type color but show wear on the paint via dark spotting, general darkening, a green edged spot on one hook, scraping/scraped lines, etc. None of this is bad but it is visible and you should know these pieces don't have a nice, smooth, "new" brass finished look.

A terrific antique oak mirror which would make a nice focal point in any room setting.         Please Take 50% Off The Featured Price. The fancy brass frame measures 6 inches high by 4.5 inches wide, has a wall hanging loop at the top and a pressed wood pattern cardboard pressed in to hold the padded picture. The picture is on a silky fabric and the piece is very decorative and in very good +++ condition. Very pretty.  This is an antique victorian oval mirror with a molded gesso frame featuring three dimensional acorns and oak leaves. The antique ornate mirror measures 14.5 inches by 11.25 inches. The frame was made 1890-1900 in England and the square mirror was added sometime later, but looks to date to the 1920-1930s. The victorian mirror was probably painted at some point. There mirror has no lost gesso on the frame. There is one scratch on the mirror and some discoloring spots consistent with age on the mirror. There is a twisted wire hanger. I brought the pretty mirror home from England on a recent buying trip because I fell in love with it's decorating possibilities. A great decorative piece for any room.

Mirror measures 22'' tall and 12'' wide. The stand works perfectly, but you can also hang this mirror. It was hard to photograph, but please see all the pictures to see the detail present.
