Made by US Glass, c. 1898. The mold and cooling process had some problems – see the hairline "crazing" like lines on 3 of the clear panels, plus a set of strange horizontal marks on one panel (1/4" d) , a shallow rub on another panel and 1/8" bottom chip. Sounds terrible, actually it’s a decent looking piece. (5628)

Tall clear pressed glass pitcher with plume or fern and diamond block band on base and applied handle.  This Early American Pattern Glass ruby stained personalized souvenir small pitcher is in the Button Arches pattern, made by both U.S. Glass and George Duncan and Sons. Although often called a creamer, this small size pitcher was usually referred to as a syrup in its day. It's 4" high at the tallest point by 2-3/4" diameter at the base. The ruby stained top is incised with the name Myra K. Smith and dated 1900. There's a nice leaf and scroll decoration encircling and to either side of the date. Typical light wear and scratches to the red color as shown but no fading, chips, flakes, cracks, or other damage.

The stein depicts 4 putti in the throes of a drinking fest. One is on the beer barrel, which has a date of 1880. The other 3 are celebrating in their own way.
