These cute 1950s Japan chenille pixie elf figures were found with old Christmas ornaments, but they're not necessarily Christmasy. Their bodies are all black fluffy chenille, two hold yellow coiled chenille horns. They have spun cotton heads and blue metallic foil paper cone hats. The elves are about 4-1/2 inches high, each is attached to a pipe cleaner stem and wired to a wooden pick. Part of the original Made in Japan paper label is still present. Some wear to the foil hats, otherwise excellent vintage condition.  Set of three vintage stand-up painted hard plastic musical Christmas forest gnome or dwarf figures, made in late 1930s Germany. They're a little over 2 inches high on their round green bases. Four are musical, playing a cello, horn, concertina, and holding a sheet of music. Another carries wrapped packages or bundles, the last holds an axe and a freshly cut pine tree. They are marked Made In Germany on the undersides and are in excellent condition, a tiny bit of paint wear here and there as shown, nothing noticeable.  Two charming poseable soft sculptured Christmas elf or pixie dolls by Annalee dated 1994. The large elf is 19 inches tall with the wired legs straightened (feet are posed in normal, not straightened, position). The little baby pixie is about 6-1/2 inches high. Each has a cloth tag reading Annalee '94, Made Only In Meredith New Hampshire USA. I see some slight fading to the red wool felt at the bottoms of the feet, otherwise they are in great vintage condition with no stains or damage. The only issue is that the plastic holly sprig is missing from the larger elf's hat, easily replaced if desired.  This cute Mid Century Christmas ornament features a putz gnome figure sitting on a gold wired mesh crescent moon with air-fern type greenery. About 4 inches high overall, the gnome or elf has a painted hard plastic face and holds a foil scrap songbook. A wired foil star stands next to the gnome and he's sitting on a little pinecone in the cradle of the moon. His body and feet are spun cotton, his beard, arms, and legs are fluffy colored chenille. He wears a red flocked paper cap. The little foil star has some wear to the points, otherwise the ornament is in very good vintage condition.

Christmas Chenille Pinecone Gnome Elf on $32.00
A wonderfully retro Christmas pixie elf, made in Japan in the 1960s. The classic pixie sits amid a spray of gold foil tinsel that unfolds sparkler style when the rubber band at the tube base is released. It's still sealed in its original package so I can't show you what it looks like with the tinsel down, but it's a neat effect. About 7-1/2" tall, the decoration can be used as a tree topper (just remove the gold foil stopper below the tube), table centerpiece, or even hung from the ceiling, window, or tree from the gold cord attached to his cap. There is a marker price on the cardboard header, otherwise the pixie is in mint, never used condition.  Two cute small figural candle holders featuring Christmas gnomes holding little bottle brush trees. The elves or gnomes have red spun cotton suits and hats, red chenille arms, and hard plastic faces with real cotton beards. They stand on oval heavy cardboard disks thickly coated with white coconut snow and decorated with a little red and white lacquered composition mushroom. At one side of each base is a candle holder complete with a 3-1/2 inch candle in white with embossed colored stars. One has nothing on the bottom, the other has a price sticker from Woolworths. They probably date to the 1950s or 1960s and could be from either Japan or West Germany. Very slight wear to the painted faces and cotton beards and the mushroom caps are crazed, otherwise excellent vintage condition. Price is for the pair.  These cute pixie elf figures can be posed or hung on your Christmas tree. It just wouldn't be Christmas at my house without a couple dozen of these happy fellas perched all over. With the seemingly unlimited selection of styles and types of pixies that were made in the 1950s and 60s, they're exceptionally fun to collect and display. The pixies are about 5-1/4" high standing with knees slightly bent. They have plastic faces and carry gold plastic horns. They're wearing red and white felt jester clown style suits trimmed with gold tinsel at the arm and leg cuffs. They have Santa-style caps and pointy toed black and red felt shoes. Gold cord hangers attached to the pompoms of their hats allow you to hang the pixies on the tree or from doorways, windows, wherever you like. Both are in excellent vintage condition with no issues.  This charming pottery pixie elf was made in 1950s Japan by Inarco. He sits hugging his knees atop a pedestal wreath of plastic holly and berries. About 4-1/2 inches high, he's entirely glazed except for his bisque face. Marked E-2506 on the underside and has a foil Inarco Japan label. No chips, flakes, or crazing, but he does have a black factory paint flaw line on the side of his face as shown and a couple of tiny flakes to the pink face paint on the same side.

A terribly cute 1950s Japan porcelain ceramic pixie elf figurine from the 1950s. She's about 3-1/4 inches high, wearing a red footsie hooded suite with spaghetti fur trim and holding a gold horn in one hand, her other hand resting on her hip. She has a sweet baby face and short platinum blond hair. The pixie is in excellent vintage condition with no damage, just a touch of wear to the gold horn and typical minor mold or paint flaws common to this type of dimestore figurine. Marked Japan on the bottom.  Two large ceramic pixie elf figurines, each 6 inches tall. They are flower fairy type pixies, with red and yellow flower petal hats or caps and wired tulle wings at their backs. Their red suits and leggings make them suitable for Christmas time display, but they're not necessarily just for the holidays. One pixie stands with both hands on his his hips, the other has one hand raised and extended in a wave. They are unmarked, possibly made in Japan but the skillfully hand painted faces are more suggestive of one of the Mid Century California pottery studios. The pixie with the red tulle wings has some damage to the red chiffon, causing separating at the wire edges. The one with the white wings is fine. There are a couple of tiny, pinpoint white marks or scratches to the red paint, otherwise excellent condition.  These two adorable ceramic Christmas ornaments are little blond pixie-like girls in red footed pajama suits and caps with spaghetti fur pompoms. Their eyes and jammie buttons are clear rhinestones - one button stone is missing as shown but should be easy to replace (or ignore). The children are 4 inches tall and have one hand raised to their cheeks. Each has a paper Japan sticker on the underside of one foot. You can remove the red rayon cord ornament hangers to display them as figurines if you like. Some mild crazing to their faces, otherwise no damage aside from the missing rhinestone button. Price is for the pair.  A trio of cute plastic faced Christmas putz gnome or elf figures wearing red and white candy cane striped suits and holding green bottle brush trees. They're a little over 2" high, with white chenille beards, fluffy red chenille arms, and red plastic top hats. Gold cords are attached so you can hang them on the Christmas tree as ornaments. Two are open at the cone bottoms, one has a cardboard base. Excellent condition.

Three vintage putz gnome or elf Christmas figure decorations, one each dressed in red, white, and blue. The 2-1/2" gnomes hold little musical instruments and have painted hard plastic faces. Their arms and beards are fluffy chenille, their cardboard suits are decorated with coconut type colored glitter, and their flocked paper hats match their suits. They are unmarked but were made in Mid Century Japan. One has a minor paint flaw to one blue eye, otherwise excellent vintage condition.  These four adorable 1960s child-like Christmas pixie elves look like porcelain or ceramic figures, but they're made of hand painted hard plastic. Just under 2" high, two are sitting with legs apart and hands between their knees, one is lying on his tummy with hands on the floor and one foot raised, and one sits with one knee up and both hands raised. They're wearing Christmasy red and green outfits with pixie collars and Santa caps, but you can display them all winter long. Marked Hong Kong on the undersides, excellent condition.  A pair of vintage Japan pinecone bodied Christmas gnome, dwarf, or elf figures from the 1950s, plus a bonus gnome face ornament. The gnome in the green flocked hat is just under 3 inches high. He has a hand painted molded clay or composition face with chenille beard and arms. He carries a spun cotton lantern and is mounted on a white mica-encrusted disk. A chenille loop on his hat allows you to hang the gnome as an ornament on the Christmas tree. Excellent condition. The other gnome figure is a different style with a molded paper maché mask-like Santa face. He has a real cotton beard and holds a green bottle brush tree in his chenille arms. He stands on his own on two large white mica cardboard feet, but there's a cord loop attached to his red flannel cap to hang as an ornament. He's about 3-1/2 inches high and in good condition. The bonus gnome is an Italian made face and paper maché cap - no body. A wire loop at the top of the cap will let you hang the gnome head as a Christmas ornament, or you can attach it to a pinecone body, or even use it in a diorama style Christmas ornament. He has a hand made, hand painted composition molded face and cotton beard. Note the cute teeth in his smiling mouth. His somewhat dirty face has been gently cleaned with a Q-tip and water since the pictures were taken.  A pair of two retro pixie elf Christmas decorations from Mid Century Japan. One is a door, window, or wall hanging with a cute red hooded knee hugger pixie sitting in a swing of holly and mistletoe. A soft plastic gold filigree bell hangs from the bottom of the swing, red velvet ribbon bows trim the sides. Overall dimensions are 8 inches wide by 11 inches high, the pixie elf is 3-1/2". The green painted wooden clothespin ornament has a sitting soft plastic pixie on top with his arms wrapped around his bent knees. His green and white striped cap has a cord hanger, or you can simply clip the ornament onto the tree branch instead of hanging. His green felt collar is faded, otherwise good condition.

Six delightfully retro nutcracker soldier head pixie elf Christmas ornaments, made in 1960s Japan. They have soft doll-like plastic vinyl pixie heads and tall flocked hats decorated with gold and flocked paper braids, gold foil scrap medallions, and wired tinsel plumes (most of the plumes were bent in down for the picture - they are now standing up straight). Five are about 4 inches high with gold cord hangers. The sixth is larger and has arms to hold his gold plastic trumpet - this one has a chenille stem at the top of his cap. Some of their faces could use a mild cleaning, otherwise the pixies are in very good vintage condition.  A pair of cute 1960s Japan pixie elves popping out of foil-covered metallic paper drums. They are about 5" high and have soft vinyl doll-like heads, red and white striped flannel hats, and fluffy red chenille bodies and arms. Foil holly leaves with flocked paper berries decorate their chenille chests. The drumstick tops are just little styrofoam balls and one is missing. I'm including four wired silver glass balls that you can use to replace the drumsticks with if you like - they are shown in the second photo.  This 1950s Japan Christmas gnome or elf figure is driving a wire sleigh filled with foil-wrapped presents, a pine cone, and lacquered fruit. The gnome has a hand painted hard plastic face, spun cotton body and feet, and flocked paper hat. His arms, legs, and beard are chenille. The gnome's paper hat is torn but not all the way - it just needs a quick glue repair. About 3-1/2" long by 2-1/2" high.  An adorable 1950s Japan porcelain Christmas gnome or elf, 3 inches high. He's sitting with legs crossed, a holly wreath in his hands. The top of his cap forms a hook so you can hang him on the tree as an ornament. Hand painted face with bright green eyes, rosy cheeks, and open O shaped mouth, so cute! Marked Japan in red ink on the underside, excellent condition. Three are available, price is per gnome.

This cute circa 1970 Christmas ornament is a pixie-like Santa Claus with a burlap suit, painted face, and red sequin decoration. About 6-1/2" long, the pixie still has its Made In Taiwan label attached to the cord hanger and comes with its original plastic package, which has been opened. Excellent, probably never used condition.  Vintage Homco Bisque Christmas Santa Elves Set of Three. Very cute set! This set has three elves wearing Santa hats, one is reading a book, one is building a boat and the last one is sitting and making a doll. They range in size from 3 3/4 inches to 4 3/4 inches tall, two have their original Homco foil labels, marked with the number 5205. They are in excellent condition, no chips or repairs, some minor loss to the paint. Cute addition to your collection or holiday decor!  This darling 1960s Christmas pixie elf decoration is mint in its unopened package. The 6" poseable elf has a plastic vinyl head, fluffy green chenille arms and legs, white felt pixie boot shoes, green flocked cap and shirt with red felt scarf. The elf holds drumsticks in each hand and has a red and white striped cardboard drum on a gold cord that hangs from his neck. The back of the metallic cardboard package header is marked Japan.  This charming 1960s poseable Christmas pixie elf is mint and still sealed in its unopened gold foil package. The 6" elf has a plastic vinyl head, red chenille arms and legs, white felt pixie boot shoes, red flocked cap and shirt with green felt scarf. The elf holds a green flocked guitar decorated with gold foil scrap medallions and gold cord strings. The back of the metallic cardboard package header is marked Japan. Picture shows two but one has been sold, one remains.
