Double row of natural pastel multi-color coin fresh water pearls, 6 ½-7 mm across (about ¼ inch) x 5 mm thickness, separated by small silver-plated beads. Coin pearls are smooth flattish and are perfect for this type of adjustable bracelet. The pearls have a beautiful nacre without obvious, if any, defects; white, and colors of peaches and pinks, to almost lavender (see photos). Adjustable by elastic-type jewelry material, fits my average wrist just a bit loosely and is quite comfortable. Even though separator beads are silver-plated, they should be kept with a piece of tarnish-resistant paper. A small one is included, but will have to be replaced in time. Overall weight is 17.3 gm. 4 chunks of cut octagonal turquoise measuring almost 1 inch in length and a little less than 1/4 inch in thickness, alternate with pieces of blue-green turquoise, white quartz, and caramel-brown agates. I bought this several years ago and am not sure, but the larger pieces of turquoise may be assembled. This is reflected in the price. The rest of the gemstones are genuine and unaltered. Closure is a sterling lobster clasp which is marked 925, the bracelet measures 8 1/2 inches. This length is appropriate for an average sized wrist since the large stones take up space. BLUE SPOT DUMORTIERITE GEMSTONE ~ Dumortierite is a fibrous variably colored aluminium boro-silicate mineral, Al6.5-7BO3(SiO4)3(O,OH)3. Dumortierite crystallizes in the orthorhombic system typically forming fibrous aggregates of slender prismatic crystals. The crystals are vitreous and vary in color from brown, blue, and green to more rare violet and pink. Substitution of iron and other tri-valent elements for aluminium result in the color variations. It has a Mohs hardness of 7 and a specific gravity of 3.3 to 3.4. Crystals show pleochroism from red to blue to violet.
