This is a vintage cobalt blue slip decorated on cream ceramic salt pig or salt holder that was made by Mashay Pottery, England in the 1950s. The salt pig, or salt holder, causes the salt not to clump because of it's shape and material and is made to sit on your counter where it is easy to use. The salt pig measures 6 inches hig, across and deep and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Salt pigs were developed in Scotland and England where they know about humidity. Because of their popularity with TV chefs, they are having a renaissance and are now trendy again! Red Crown Gasoline Horse and Tank Wagon Bank

The spoon has a round bowl, measures 3.25 inches long and is in very good +++ condition with some minor plate loss on the sides of the handle. So cute! This is a lovely little bone china pin dish or open salt in a shell shape with applied hand made Staffordshire flowers I brought home from England. The dish was made in 1955 by the Worcester Royal Porcelain Co in Staffordshire, England and is the shape #1347. This would make a great teabag caddy as well. It is in very good +++ near excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restorations--even to the flower petals which is rare. I love the shape of this salt. It is an oval fluted crystal master salt I brought back from England. It looks to me in the light like it is turning purple. The oval master salt measures 3.75 inches by 2.75 inches by 1.75 inches high and dates to 1890-1910. The salt dip has one very small shallow chip on the top but is otherwise in very good condition with very little wear. I love it!

It dates to about 1900 and I brought it back from England where I bought it at Camden Passage antiques market. The master open salt has some small use fleabites on the edges but no chips or cracks. Lovely! I don't know if you would call the pattern pressed into the bottom of this master salt dish I brought home recently from England a leaf or a star. This is a very old master open salt or salt dip, dating to 1890-1910. It measures 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches by 2.75 inches high. It is in very good condition but it does have a small shallow chip on a bottom corner measuring approximately .75 of an inch. You can only see it if you turn the piece over. Otherwise very good. This is a King George VI sterling silver salt spoon all hand made from a silver sixpence from Rhodesia with the crowned profile of of King George VI that has been formed into a bowl with a sterling silver barley twist handle added with a twisted, beaded wire open heart shaped finial.
