Offering this awesome large electric 44 inch tall candelabra torchere table lamp. 8 inch square brass base has raised enlarged beading and scrolled flowers and leaf designs, next up is a layer of black and white Italian marble, then more brass with beading, cherubs, and acanthus leaves. The stem is metal, (most likely brass) with an ebonized matte finish, raised ribbed pattern; top area is again brass with acanthus leaves. The center candle stem is metal with an ebonized matte finish - ornate floral patterns. There are eight candle light arms plus the center light. Each arm is brass with a floral design bobeche which holds a single light with a black and dripped gold paper candle cup. There are brass chains draped between each arm. This lamp has a three way light switch. We found these flickering bulbs that look like flames when the lamp is turned on. There is no label or markings at to who made this lamp, but it is definitely of Stiffel quality. Good+++ condition, no cracks or dents, wiring is very good, switch works smoothly, age is unknown - could be 1940-1960's. This exquisite lamp would be the show piece of any room, great for any decor from victorian to arts and crafts, from gothic to modern chic.   Offering these two 38 inch tall Stiffel brass torchere style table lamps, very elegant. Bases are solid brass smooth with one band of detailed raised leaves. The stems have an soft matte ivory finish with these wonderful intricate designed grape leaf and clusters wrapping around. The top brass area has scrolled acanthus leaves and a single flower stalk on each side. The shades are white milk glass with a slightly ribbed pattern. Both lamps have duel switches, one on base and one near light globes. The original Stiffel label is still in tact on one lamp; missing on the other one. Good+++ condition on both, no dents or broken pieces, slight patina, excellent quality made that Stiffel is known for - circa 1950-60's, very heavy, wiring is good - both work fine, switches work smoothly. You could add shades or use as they are, they make such a statment! Also would look wonderful with stained glass shades. Please note although only one lamp is shown in photo, there are definitely a pair of these being offered in this sale. Sure to add elegance to any room in your home!  Pittsburgh Lamp, Glass and Brass Company table lamp. The colors are magnificent with great clarity. The moon, sky, and water are painted on the interior with the tall trees, which border the lake scene, being painted on the exterior. The base is same as shown on page 121 of "American Lighting" by Nadja Maril. It has an excellent dark bronze finish (restored?) and original felt bottom; one of bell pulls is missing. Lamp stands almost 22 inches in height. The shade is in superb condition with no chips or cracks.  Brass & Glass candle holder, 10-1/2 inches tall and in excellent condition. You're looking at an amazing flip toy called Boy on Trapeze still in the original box! This little fellow flips over the bar when you turn a knob. He was manufactured in Japan, patent no. 30-23220. I have no idea when exactly he dates to, but my guess is the late 1930's. Toy buffs out there feel free to correct me. The box is brightly colored and has a number of circus scenes and the original carrying string still at the top of the box and functional. The boy has seen some better days. At some point he lost his right leg which was made of a balloon type rubber. It also appears that the left post came loose at some point in the past and was reglued to the base. This toy is made out of some type of hard green rubber, or rubber like plastic, I'm not precisely certain what type. The box is in good condition, but has some scars and rips, but remains very visually appealing. Despite its flaws this unusual little toy makes a fantastic gift for the toy lover or child at heart in your life.   This old metal lamp has black paint with contrasting white on the lense holders. There are 3 red red globe lenses in the lamp which are in excellent condition. The paint appears to be original and has signs of age but nothing more than normal wear. It has a hooked handle for hanging. There is a BAT brand with a picture of bat on the top front. Model number appears to be BS 3143. I am told this is a British-type railroad lantern usually hung on the back end of a train or a backward moving engine. The back door opens to reveal the kerosene holder and wick. It also has the Bat mark with model 3143. This is a truly unique piece and a must have for your collection.  Here is a 14 for one deal. You pay one price for fourteen issues of the classic magazine "The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction." Besides amazing cover art and classic ads, you get classic publishings of Poul Anderson, Isaac Asimov, Mark Van Doren, Lester del Ray, Arthur C. Clarke, Theodore Sturgeon, Ray Bradbury, and many more. Inlcuded issues are March and August 1956, January, April, June, September, and November 1957, February, June, and November 1958, and 2 February 1959 issues, as well as August and September 1959. Most are in good condition, although none are absolutely perfect. All are intact, although the June 1957 issue is becoming a little tattered. These are very cool, very classic, and so much fun!  In the time of radio, NBC had a number of guidelines for what certain types of radio shows could and could not contain. This volume "Broadcasting in the Public Interest" outlines those rules. Although it is not dated, it contains multiple references to being the year 1939. It's an amazing piece of National Broadcasting Company history. It's in pretty good condition, with the right top and bottom corners slightly thumbworn, a former owners name written in pencil on the top right of the front cover, and two library stamps, one faint on the front cover and one stronger on the first page. It is 6 by 9 inches and is 80 pages long. This is a fascinating piece. Highly recommended.

Ahh, beautiful New Zealand. This "photgraphic study" of the country in all its black and white splendor is undated, but I would guess that it dates from the late 1940s. Filled with lovely photos and sidebars that read like old Movie News reels, "Pictorial New Zealand" was produced by New Zealand's own Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd. It measures 9 and 5/8 inches by 9 and 3/8 inches and is 60 pages long. It's not in pristine condition; the spine is crackled as if it's been subjected to a bit too much twisting, the cover is lightly scuffed, and the pages are naturally yellowed with age. All in all, still a lovely volume to page through and admire.  Austrian Arts & Crafts brass oil lamp with six candle arms.
