Made in Spain Pigot # 2426  Contemporary Set of Frosted Crystal Bighorn Sheep Rams Bookends. These great bookends are 4-7/8" long x 2-3/8" wide x 5-3/8" tall. They are unmarked by the maker. On one side of of them is a shallow 1/8" wide x 1/4" long chip on the lower left corner of the base and a shallow 1/16" wide x 1/4" long chip on the right corner. The other one has a chip on the underside of the right side bottom edge. When facing each other the chips are all on the same side. There are NO chips to the sheep. Shipping weight is 6 pounds.

Vintage Set 1950's Bronzecraft Bronze Baby Shoes Bookends Debra. These adorable bookends are 7" long x 3-1/2" wide x 4-7/8" tall and they have the name of Debra on each one. They are in excellent used condition. Shipping weight is 4 pounds.

Antique Native American bookends. Titled: 'Awaiting the Prey'. They feature a NA with his hunting dog perched against a boulder. JB made this mold but I cannot find a JB mark on them so they could be another company but they are identical to the ones in the book. These are 6.5 tall x 5.25 long. They are hollow cast grey metal; one is missing most of the original gold tone finish; other one is okay. The darker one also has a tight split on backside which is fairly insignificant. It might be worth it to have a pro refinish these in a metallic antique bronze/gold color. They are really attractive despite the aging flaws. 11/11sant#

Antique K & O bookends. c:1927. Titled, 'Little Red Riding Hood' because the book she is reading is about that fairy tale, see picture #3, the pages of the book show the wolf and little red riding hood. These are well marked on back with the K&O symbol. Made of grey metal and the rarity is 5 out of 5. These are showing some age; one has some paint loss on the book; and there is paint loss on the backside of one. They are 5.5 tall x 4 wide. An adorable pair for your collection despite the age/wear! 11/11nh#  P M Craftsman Dogwood bookends. Nice looking heavy duty bookends. This company is still in business. One of the bottoms has the PM label and felt; other one is missing the felt. They are 5.5 tall. One has a little gouge along top rim; not noticeable unless looking down on it, see pic 3. Nice pair to use in an office or library to hold books. Retail price is much higher. 10/11bigcs  Antique Armor Bronze bookends titled 'Thoroughbred', c:1925. Bottom base is bronze clad and I think the horses are too but not sure. They both have very old felt bottoms with the AB labels, Taunton, Mass. Note the old State abbreviation. Dark patination; some spotting and wear. And on the back of one of the horses ear is a tiny break or separation line; the ear is still on and you can't see it unless looking for it. The ears would be the most prone to damage so just be careful when handling these. They are 8 tall x 8 long. 4 lbs. each. 9/11est#  Nice pair of antique bookends by Galvano Bronze. c:1925; shown in the book. These are bronze clad Dante & Beatrice; quite hefty and in good condition. They are 7.5 inches tall x 6 long. Very old felt bottoms; one has a tiny paper label but just a number on it; other one has remnants of an old price tag. They have a deep, dark coppery finish. A great pair for the office or library! 9/11utcs

Antique bookends titled, 'Welcome Cottage'. c:1925. See pic #2 for a better look. Similar ones are shown in the bookend book but no maker is listed and the ones in the book are iron. These are not iron, they appear to be solid bronze; weighing 6 lbs. each. Nice condition; very darkened nice patina on them. They are 5 inches tall x 4.25 wide. A great heavy duty pair for your office, library, etc. 9/11est#  This is a pair of bookends, depicting an Indian on a horse.  Handcrafted natural wood, probably cedar or redwood, bookends that are finished with walnut stain and sealed to hold the finish. Each has a 3/8" metal base with felt material applied to the bottom. These bookends could hold many books. The base is 5" wide, and is 4 1/2" tall.  Fantastic bronze clad polychrome kneeling Indian bookends. Shown in the bookend book; they weigh 5 lbs. each; rarity is 5, (out of 5). Not marked and not all PB was marked. Nice overall display condition; just a couple small spots of wear; one tiny break in the clad metal near a crevice; and some dust/dirt in the crevices. Spectacular pair for your office, library or arts & crafts room! 5/11stmc

Great pair of vintage Abe Lincoln bookends. Copper finish over gray metal. Age est: 1920's. Old worn felt on bottom of one. Marked on back: JB 1618. They stand 6.5 tall x 5 wide. Quite hefty. The perfect classy accent to an office or library. One bookend has a couple of tiny dents on top rim, (the picture is a closeup); and has one spot of green patination on it. JB was the premier bookend maker and famous for their rich metal finishes; they always used gray metal but because the finishes are so superb people often confuse them with actual bronze, copper, etc. 5/11est#  Superior antique Jennings Bros. Dickens bookends. c:1929. Old green felt on bottoms. Good antique condition. Copper finish over gray metal. JB was famous for their gorgeous metal finishes. Shown in the bookend book. These stand 7 inches tall x 4.5 wide. They are well marked: JB 2062. Add some class to your office or library! The perfect gift! 5/118fcs  Antique expandable book rack featuring Abe Lincoln. Likely made by Judd; they are numbered: 9998 on interior side of heads. The heads are iron; the rods are brass. Nice old patina on this rack. The rack is 13.5 long fully extended or 8.5 long pushed in and 5.5 tall. Very nice, just some minor paint loss on the heads. Identical bookrack recently sold for $250 at an Early Am. History auction; the value estimate was $300-600. Auction prices are abut 1/3 less than retail price. This would make a great gift for your manly man! 5/11f8cs  Large vintage Marion Bronze bronze clad polychrome bookends. Titled, 'Man Reading Book'; other sites call it the Old Professor. c:1920's. These are shown in the bookend book; the ones in the book date to 1965 and are signed MB; earlier Marion Bronze pieces were not signed and these are not signed. You can see the aged bottoms under the felt; the later ones are more metallic on the bottoms. MB started in biz in 1922-1971. These bookends are in good display condition; stand 8 inches tall; have some minor flaws common on vintage bronze clad items. The flaws are on one bookend, not both. It has a scratch on one side of bookend cabinet; one tiny tight break on side of mans suit coat; and one very tiny line near other side on bottom suit tip. These minor flaws are only visible if looking closely for them. MB was the last company in the US to produce bronze clad items and due to the complexity of this technique it is no longer used. These are large, heavy and look great in a library or office to hold books! 3/11smc

Condition: very good  Vintage Frankart bear bookends. Back has raised: Frankart Inc., Pat. Appld For. These are in overall nice vintage condition; just one spot of corrosion near bottom of circular area. 4.5 tall x 5.75 wide. The bears look like they are playing; but could be fighting. Very art deco stylized bears. Age est: 1920's. A great pair for your collection! 1/11antmc  Marion Bronze clad Liberty Bell bookends. Rare; rarity is 5; 5 is the highest. Sharp looking bronze plated bookends. They stand 6.75 tall x 4.75 wide. Incised MB on bottom back corner. Not quite as bright looking as the picture shows; the camera tends to illuminate metal objects. 1/11ctmc  Henry Van Wolf bear bookends. Age est: 1940's since that HVW came to CA from Germany in the 40's. HVW born 1898-1982. Incised mark on base: H. Van Wolf. These have very old worn felt on bottoms with foil stickers that read: Bar-None, Made in USA, Registered California. HVW was the president of an art guild in CA where he lived. These bears are in nice vintage condition. Mold lines near neck are slightly visible if looking at them right under your nose. They stand 5 inches tall x 6.75 long. Very hefty, they are 4 lbs. each = 8 lbs. for both; a magnet does not stick to them, and they ping like bronze. The bears themselves feel very thick and heavy but I believe they are hollow cast because when turning one upside down something inside jingles a bit, (like a piece of metal waste inside). A great pair for a hunting lodge, cabin, western, country or arts & crafts style abode! usa only. 1/11odmc#3201

It is in good condition but for the area where ball sits on pedestal is a bit loose, (there may be a base peg missing or soddering came loose, not sure); pick it up from bottom, not lion body. It is 6.25 tall x 6.5 long. Very detailed. Since there is only one, you can use as a doorstop, or as a single bookend on a shelf. 1/11ro#1218  Vintage polychrome Thinker iron bookends. These are shown in the book in monochrome. The pictures are bringing out the colors on them more than is visible in reality. The green, red, and gold paint is very faint and worn. They are heavy and stand 5 tall x 4 wide. The word 'Thinker' on one of them is worn; other one is fine. They are not iron; they might be bronze. A great pair to actually use to hold some books in place! 12/10scs-r  Vintage 1969-74 Richard Nixon Ballpoint Pen. This pen is gold brushed aluminum. It has Richard Nixon's signature on the side. Nice antique condition. Likely very rare. A similar Dutch female is shown in the book but not the male and that one is iron, not bronze. These depict Dante & Beatrice I assume. They are 7.5 tall x 5 long x 3.5 deep. Both have felt on bottoms and an old Armor Bronze label from New York which means they were made in the 1920's. In the 30's-40's AB was located in Taunton, Mass., not N.Y. 4/10#3021nh  Antique bookends titled 'Struggle'. c:1925, shown in the bookend book but maker is unknown according to the book. Antique bronze clad Thinker bookends. c:1920's. Gorgeously detailed, great patina, and hard to find! They are almost 8 inches tall x 3.5 wide. Incised mark: Le Penseur Par Rodin. Shown in the book, rarity is 4 out of 5. They are missing the paper labels. One of them has 2 breaks in the bronze plating; the breaks are near the man's pelvis and elbow; they are hard to spot because they are towards the center of the figurine see pic #6. The breaks in the plating are not unusual due to the all the detail and crevices. These are outstanding, heavy bookends despite the minor flaws. Your man would love these in his office! usa only. dix#3/09  This young girl, with elegant dress complete with old-fashion hat, is sitting on a settee, and brown poodle is near her knees- beautiful bright colors, intricate details. Measures 5 inches height by 4,5 inches and 4 inches-base. In good vintage condition  Vintage photograph or scrapbook. Has a little foil label inside: Oliver K. Whiting of London.
