This is a fabulous crystal and sterling silver dish, bowl with flower frog or ashtray that was manufactured by DGH - Dansk Guld Håndværk, a Danish silver manufacturer ala Georg Jensen. The dish is marked DGH 925S punched into the underside of the silver framework. The design is loops and grapes and is beautifully done. There is a small chip on the outside rim of the bowl. There is a worn ring on the bottom from use. Very retro!

Vintage silverplate footed butter dish or crumb catcher. Not sure precisely what this was made for, but it could be used for either of the above. Marked: Made in England. Not marked silverplate, but that is what is looks like to me. Has some age/wear showing, but still charming and looks nice on the buffet! It is 7 long x 2.5 tall. 12/11scrs  This is an absolutely fabulous salad bowl or console bowl in brilliant cut lead crystal made by the Gorham Silver Company of USA with a hallmarked sterling silver beaded rim. The bowl measures 9 inches in diamteter by 4 inches high and is fabulous! The hallmarks are the Gorham marks of G lion anchor S2806 followed by the trident. The bowl was cut by Hoare Crystal and Glass Co, USA in 1897 and is pictured on page 115 of the book American Cut and Engraved Glass of the Brilliant Period by Martha Louise Swan. The cut pattern is described as Subdued and dignified in a tailored style reminiscent of Dorflinger's Mitre and Silver Diamond pattern.

It is in very good +++ condition with a normal wear pattern on the bottom and a few TINY facet chips. A beautiful piece and elegant example of Brilliant period cut glass.

Weighing 2.1 oz., this lovely ornate Victorian jam jar with flip lid and handle, does not have its glass insert. It is marked: Sterling, 1456, BSC under the edge of the bottom lip. That lip also has 2 small hinged flaps which obviously were used to hold in the glass insert. The entire surface is ornately engraved, and has a small script initial C on the front. My research tells me that BSC stands for Bixby Sterling Company of Providence RI, which was known for its hollowware, ca 1896-1909. No damage; looks like it can polish up quite well (still shiny inside). Measures 2 ½ inches tall x 2 5/8 inches across the base.
