This beautiful Ibanez A200ETG has only had one owner (me) and very limited playing time. The only reason I list it as used is there are some very light scratches on the top in the finish. The guitar was recently sent to a luthier that does all my work for a complete neck set-up which I had never had done before. With the exception of the light scratches the guitar is in new condition and the action and intonation are perfect. The top, back and sides of this guitar are flamed maple and the back is arched. The tone both amplified and unamplified is incredible. The Fishman electronics and onboard tuner are top notch. The guitar comes with a very nice Ibanez soft side case. All the paperwork and accessories that came with the guitar are included. They include an extra bridge, two bridge shims, a spare bridge pin and an Allen wrench to adjust the truss rod. The package states that this string is HAND MADE by EPHIPHONE INC., of NEW YORK, NEW YORK. It was found with two banjos (Gibson Mastertone and a Epiphone Rialto) that we currently have from a Northside Chicago Estate. The CONDITION is VINTAGE-NEW. It is still wound and in the original waxpaper envelope.  This listing is for ONE (1) SINGLE STRING PACKAGE of VINTAGE GIBSON MONA-STEEL BANJO STRINGS. THE PACKAGE STATES that this string is a B or 2ND. We cannot guarantee that the string in the package is the same as what the package states. The package states....that this string is HAND MADE by GIBSON, INC., of KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN. It was found with two banjos (Gibson Mastertone and a Epiphone Rialto) that we used to have from a North side Chicago Estate. The CONDITION is ESTATE / USED . The string is still wound and in the original wax paper envelope. HOWEVER...Due to this listing being from an estate...WE CANNOT GUARANTEE that the string in the package is the same string that is stated on the package.  This ANTIQUE BANJO was made between 1928-1935 by EPIPHONE OF NEW YORK. Our research/resource indicates that the RIALTO MODEL was produced/fashioned after the EPIPHONE RECORDING MODELS but that the RIALTO MODEL was considered a budget line. While the RIALTO MODEL was made to good standards of quality, it was not built with the Ephiphone Recording Model Tone Ring and has less ornamentation than that of the Recording Models. This BANJO features: A FLAT TOP. COLORFULL PEARLOID PEGHEAD VENEER with EPHIPHONE RIALTO inscribed on it. WALNUT NECK with WHITE BINDING on the edges. ROSEWOOD FINGER BOARD with 22 FRETS that have a INLAID DESIGN PATTERN of 4-CONNECTING DIAMONDS. WALNUT RESONATOR with a LIGHT COLORED ACCENT DECORATION around the edges and LIGHT COLORED CIRCLE DECORATION on the back. NICKLE PLATED METAL HARDWARE. ONE PIECE FLANGE GROVER TUNERS The CONDITION is ANTIQUE-USED. There is checking to the veneer and some loss of finish. The veneer behind the pearloid on the peghead appears to have shrunken causing some seperation but it is not loose. There is no patent date or serial numbers inscribed on the banjo. We have the original case but the condition is very poor. The purchaser has the option of whether or not they would like the banjo shipped to them in the original case or not. It features: An ARCHTOP and has a 40 HOLE RAISED HEAD TONE RING. A FIDDLE SHAPED PEGHEAD with GIBSON in SCRIPT on an angle. GROVER TUNERS. BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD FINGERBOARD with WHITE BINDING. 19 FRETS with DIAMOND SHAPED INLAYS and MASTERTONE INLAID on the 19TH FRET. MAPLE NECK with WHITE BINDING on the side edges. MAPLE RESONATOR with WHITE BINDING on the top and back edges of the resonator. Shiney NICKEL PLATED METAL HARDWARE looks like Chrome! TWO-PIECE FLANGE. RED MAHOGANY STAIN LACQUER FINISH. Also included in this listing is the ORIGINAL HARD SHELL BANJO CASE (the handle is not attached to the case). The CONDITION of the BANJO is ANTIQUE-USED. The banjo has been well cared for by the original owner and shows signs of light useage. There is a 1 1/2 INCH piece of the WHITE BINDING that is missing on one side of the NECK in the area where the neck meets the resonator. There is wear to the finish of the veneer on the neck from being played and also wear to the finish of the veneer on the bottom edge of the RESONATOR of the banjo on one side. There is also some checking on the back of the RESONATOR. It carries the following GIBSON MARKS: COMPLETE OVAL LABLE-GIBSON KALAMAZOO is affixed on the inside rim. The SERIAL NUMBER is STAMPED/INCISED on the inside resonator. The SERIAL NUMBER is also HANDWRITTEN on the back of the inside cover in red and in white. Please note that the VALUE for this listing is in the BANJO ONLY and the case is included for shipping purposes. The CONDITION of the HARDSHELL CASE is ANTIQUE-USED. The case was purchased at the same time as the banjo. The HANDLE is not attached but is included. There is a REDDISH STAIN on the inside bottom edge of the case (the MAHOGONEY STAIN) and there is a soft spot in this are of the case that is likely due to moisture. In the 70's, for example, the Les Paul electric became THE heavy metal and hard rock guitar. In the 60's, Jim Hendrix made the Fender Stratocaster the definitive rock instrument. Both of those had one advantage that the 20's bluesmen didn't have. That was electrical amplification of sound. Back then, however, Blues guitarists had the next best thing; the National Resonator type guitar, which was three to five times as loud as any made of wood, and impervious to the often instrument-unfriendly environments of the tent shows and juke joints. This was because the guitar was made of metal, which is what makes it instantly recognizable to even the newest Blues fan. Back then, in the tent shows and hot, sweaty juke joints, the blues artists had to make themselves heard over the normal noise of an often severely chemically impaired crowd (some things never change). It was worse for women singers, who often fronted large jazz bands. Legends like Ma Rainey and Bessie Smith were not just talented vocalists. They were freaking LOUD talented vocalists whose vocal chords could cut through a ten piece band and be heard in the back rows of a tent (which was probably the worst acoustic environment for sound). It was a bit better for those who played in juke joints, which were often simply convenient rooms to sell bootleg liquor. Most who entertained in such places were solo artists, accompanied by guitar, and maybe a second person playing harp (unless you had a jug or string band). There were also street musicians who played on corners, but that's been overemphasized in the quest to present a more sanitized version of the early Blues. Back then, you played on street corners for fun, some pocket change, and if you didn't have a paying gig or recording contract. The acoustics in a juke were better, but the proximity to the crowd (this is pre-bouncers in T-shirts era stuff) made the preservation of one's instrument a real concern. Also, most guitars couldn't stop a stray bullet either, which was one occupational hazard of the era. Luckily, most guitars back then were catalog types like the Stella, which were as sturdy as wood could get back then. In any case, you had to be one LOUD sucker.
