This is an unused vintage note card.  Front is an embossed floral with an artists easel.  Back is blank.  Some wear and smudges on the back.  Slight bending of the corners. Great Agri Agricultural Advertiser for your collection.  Envelopes received from G.I. to his mother and father during WWII. A few are from his girl friend a Navy Wave. Most are envelopes only, a few letters. In all about 106 from 1942 to 1945.  What a wonderfull addition to your SHRINERS COLLECTION!  It is a JESTERS CERTIFICATE issued by the NATIONAL ORDER to the recipient in 1972.


It is in the ORIGINAL FRAME.

  This is an ADVERTISING CARD made for the I.M. GANS SERVICE COMPANY.  The area where this gentlemans office was located in a building on SOUTH DEARBORN STREET which was once known as the LEVIE DISTRICT of Chicago.  The area changed and it became what was known as PRINTERS ROW.


The card has a beautifull picture of LAKE LOUISE on one side and the services that the printing / publishing company provided.


The card is MARKED SAFEB 1554 (copyright symbol) 1925 BROWN & BIGELOW of ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA.

This area SOUTH of CHICAGO was considered the Levee District.  By 1905 industrialists moved into the (south loop) area and built towering structures to house the booming printing industry giving the area its present day name.

30 envelopes only, no letters, circa 1960, from Poland. Most envelopes have more than one stamp, good condition.  This 3-piece paper group includes a typed and handsigned message from Claire to Mae Moline  in Erie Pa on official James Stewart letterhead.  The message refers to a newspaper photo of Jimmy Stewart, his daughter and his son-in-law and to Mr. Stewart's work on the "new" Lassie filn.  The clipping was sent to, and returned from Mr. Stewart's office or corresponding secretary.  The third piece in the group is the envelope, with Mr. Stewart's return address and postmarked October 11, 1977 from Los Angeles, CA and bears a cancelled 13c Liberty Bell stamp.  The envelope was carefully opened along the left edge.  If you are a celebrity buff or Stewart fan, this may be an item for your collection.  Original party invitation from the early 1900's, with a picture of a little girl dressed in clothing of that period with a bouquet of flowers, on stock postcard paper, measuring 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches, and with the wording 'I want you to come to my party on Saturday the 26th, Time 4 oclock, Louise Griffin - Please let me know', and blank on the other side.  Card is in very good condition but has some slight age discoloration and a bit of wear on the corners.  This is a beautiful piece of American history, and a great item for paper ephemera collectors. Click on the picture to see more views.  $3.50 fixed mailing cost for up to five items in this category.    This is an original business card size letter from 1923, with a hand written party invitation card from Clarence Mason of Hill Crest Drive and addressed to Master Jim Hammond - 526 Earle St., Greenville, South Carolina, measuring 3 7/8 x 2 3/8 inches, and with a cancelled two cent stamp and postmarked 1923.  Card is in very good condition but has some slight age discoloration, envelope has tears and splits.  This is a beautiful piece of American history, and a great item for paper ephemera collectors.
