Attractive court cards depicting costumes on differing two portraits for each card of various Swiss Cantons. Aces depict two differing scenes each of Switzerland including: Matterhorn, Rheinfall, Chillon etc. Original damaged box. Cards used in very good clean condition. Flower pattern reverse depicts Edellweiss.  This is a pretty single deck of cards for Pinochle, they have never been opened but the wrapping has a tear in the back.It has a very pretty garden scene with flower pots and stone steps.  I have had many decks of cards over the years but really never found an old deck that was dated. These are dated the same year I was born,1947! They seem to be standard decks with two English horses, probably 3 Gaited Saddlebreds with the shaved forelock and mane. The suits are different colors and the cards are soiled but still in great shape as is the box with normal wear.It is a slide in end to end box, also not a common box.

These playing cards are made by Guild. They are in a clear plastic box with grooves on two sides and openings on two sides so that the box may be slid out. The box is a velvet type material and it is losing some of its "fuzz" (seen in pictures). The pictures on the cards are of cocker spaniels, one with a background of brown and one with grey. The cards are sealed in cellophane wrap and a stamp sealing them closed. These cards are in excellent condition. They have never been removed from their package.  Vintage Card Box and Congress Cards. For sale is a very vintage card box which will hold 2 decks of cards. It looks like a vintage Italian box to me, (paper mache?), and is showing a lot of age on the exterior, but interior is very good. Interior of box is wood lined. You also get the Congress Cel-u-Tone Finish card box with 2 decks of cards, back of box also reads: Canasta Packing. Exterior of card box is a bit worn, but all the cards are intact.

Both decks of cards are complete with Jokers. The wooden box measures 6 inches x 4 1/2 inches x 1 1/2 inches. There is a goose sitting on top of box and appears to be hand painted porcelain or ceramic. These chips are all used so have some wear but most of them would be rated in the very good to excellent category. The horseshoe ones show the most wear and would probably only be rated as good.

Paper Composite Poker Chip Collection $7.50

This is a collection of vintage poker chips. Part of the collection has a Greek Key pattern around the inside. These Greek Key chips number 76 including 11 Red, 45 white, 1 yellow, and 19 blue. About a third of these could be bakelite because they are a different shade and have a marbleized appearance. There are an additional 53 chips that don’t have the Greek Key Design. They include 6 blue, 2 red, and 35 white. These chips are in a vintage carrousel that has a missing knob. The carrousel is plastic that may be bakelite.

Please note that we are selling this set as a collection of Vintage poker chips. Since they have not been tested we cannot assume that any pieces of this set are Bakelite. If we were to test each individual piece we would have to charge 2 - 3 times the ridiculously low price we are currently asking. So if you buy this set and find Bakelite pieces then just consider it a bonus.  Double Deck Playing Cards w/box- Compliments of Cleveland's Chief Station - 850 on your dial. Congress Playing Cards. For sale is a double deck of cards and one single deck of Pinochle cards. The Pinochle deck has been opened, but does not appear to have been used much; the other double deck is unopened. The Pinochle deck say Congress Playing Cards Cel-U-Tone Finish in the back. The other box says: F.B.Wright and some people's names. I know Congress still makes cards, but not sure if they make them in these felt-like boxes. Wouldn't these be pretty on your vintage card table? Who do you know who plays cards, they might appreciate these as a little hostess gift!  Neat vintage Apollo card holder and Congress cards. The gold tone card holder, at least that is what it looks like, has 4 slots; two will hold cards; other two might be for something else. It has incised name: Apollo on bottom. You also get 2 double decks of Congress playing cards (4 decks of cards in all). Only one of the 4 decks has been opened, the other three still have their plastic wrappers intact. One box features Yorkshire terriors, (neither of the card decks in here have been opened); the other card box features what looks like a Renior oil painting scene on them, (only one deck was opened). The opened deck does not appear to have been used. Nice for display or to use!  This is a newer set of two advertising card decks which are still wrapped in the original cellophane. These decks have a joker showing. Therefore, I believe then to be standard 52 card decks with two jokers. The decks have the COMPAR logo on the front with one decking being green and the second one being a burnt orange. The COMPAR logo is in silver. COMPAR is a computer products reseller in the Midwest. They claim national and international customers. The plastic card box has a split in the top and a crack in the bottom.

This is a vintage pinochle deck labeled Hamilton made by Congress playing cards. Both the box and the cards show their age as this deck has been well loved and used. The cards are decorated with a horse head against a linen looking dark read background. The boxe is red with considerable wear to the folds and torn seams. Several of the cards have tattered corners, one card is marked and one card is bent or creased. Of course, any card deck that dates back to the 1930’s and has been used will show some signs of wear. I believe pincohle decks have 48 cards and this deck is complete with 48 cards.

Congress Playing Cards $28.00

Vintage Apollo Card Holder and Congress $79.00

Advertising Card Decks - COMPAR $12.00

Vintage Hamilton Pinochle Deck $7.00

This is a vintage plastic box containing two bridge decks with jokers. The cards are contained in a wonderfully bright red plastic box with the name Jiffy Manufacturing Company and its logo and locations in gold. The box is in excellent condition. The card decks, one in red and one in black, are decorated with a coat of arms. The jokers bear the registered trademark Redislip. Redislip was used by Brown & Bigelow from 1949 on their playing card products. The state abbreviations on the box front are those used primarily before the introduction of zip codes. I would date these cards to some time in the 50’s. (Be aware that that is only my best estimate.) The cards are in excellent condition with no tears or creases. If you plan to use them, be aware that as the name implies, these cards slip very readily!!

This is a vintage card box in the old style green velveteen. The cards displayed on the box which is marked PINOCHLE are decorated with the pictures of two art deco pendant watches. Unfortunately, the cards in the box are not the original cards. Two pinochle decks, made by Standard Packaging Corporation in the 60’s, have replaced the original decks. These cards trademarked “stardust” with the Nu-Vue plastic coating. The decks are complete with spare blank cards included.

This is a Parker Brothers Rook Game in its original box with the rarer navy blue cards. The box is marked Rook Card Co. Parker Brothers Inc. Selling Agents, Salem, Mass. New York, Chicago. The box is in very good condition for its age with some tape residual and some pencil marks on one side. The corners are not torn and the cover color is still vibrant. The box is divided and could be used as a card tray. The set contains The “New Edition” of Rook game rules copyrighted in 1943. There are rules for over 20 games with the original copyright dates given for each of the games. The rule book also includes ad pages for four Parker Brothers games including Camelot, Pegity, Pollyanna and Monopoly. The illustrations of groups playing cards are period and just wonderful. The deck consists of the 56 regular cards and the 57th Rook card. The cards are in the harder to find navy blue finish with the classic rook holding a hand. About four of the cards have tattered edges that have been taped. Obviously this deck was cherished by someone who preferred to preserve it rather than replace it. This is a collectors deck that will add wonderfully to your collection.

This is a vintage package of two decks of Hallmark bridge cards. The cover designs are wonderful reminders of the vivid colors of the 60’s. This deck is probably not in its original box and has been used. The decks are complete and in very good condition.

This pad of 16 contract bridge score sheets comes from the late forties or fifties. It was published by the Omaha World-Herald. This set of score sheets is a real find for the vintage game collector or just the bridge enthusiast that wants to impress the bridge club!!   For sale is a wood card box and cards.
