THE OVAL BOX MEASURES 6" LONG X 3 1/2" WIDE X 2 1/4" HIGH, HAS STICKER ON THE BOTTOM "PRESTIGE PLACE, DESIGN ADAPTED FROM THE MUSEUM OF AMERICAN FOLK ART, AND IS IN VERY FINE CONDITION.  This terrific art vase has a low profile, standing 3 3/4 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide but it packs a visual punch with its realistic natural appearance of a Nautilus shell, tiger type pattern. The overall mustard, ochre coloring enhanced with black line detailing would work well as a focal point for that beach, seaside, or cottage theme.

This vase is in excellent condition without cracks, chips, or nicks, and has the ABC Pottery name, Wapello, Iowa under the base.  Ceramic Flower Dish or Planter--This large piece is white outside and red on the inside--Body has horizontal lines and each of the 4 sides has Chinese writing--Low foot--Has the look of old California pottery--6 inches tall x 10 7/8 inches long--Good condition--Marked: Shangri-la 202

A marvelous early Moriage, hand painted art vase standing 8 inches tall depicting a striking garden setting with pheasant style birds surrounded by water, more birds, and flowers. The scene appears on two sides of the vase.

This is a distinctive and well-crafted vase that displays fine attention to detail. In between the bird and garden scene is a crest like emblem with flowers and gold trimmed branching. The entire vase surface is decorated in multi colors, has the raised beading or moriage, and the gold enhancements.

We have two identical vases, and this offering is for a single vase. There are marks under the bases, but to date we have not been able to identify them. One has a 21D stamped mark which most likely is a pattern or mold number. There are raised Oriental symbols but both of these are different in appearance, perhaps the name of the person who decorated the vase.

The only note we make is of some minor crazing on the base, surrounding the markings. For certain, this vase is in fine, overall vintage condition and will not disappoint in artistry and design.

This terrific Brush Pottery low bowl measures 8 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches and is done in a coppery color with green foam treatment from the edging downward. There are 3 ceramic cleated feet under the base which has the Brush name and art palette trademark.

There are no chips, cracks or flakes on the bowl, which would make for a wonderful display piece.  Noted for its native clays dating back to the Incas, the Chulucanas region of Peru has fostered the growth of native artisans, and has become recognized for the marvelous art pieces created there.

This set of wall hanging water jars, or ollas measure 3 1/4 inches by 4 1/2 inches (the smaller one) and 4 1/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches (the larger one) and complement each other in coloring and design. Both have a reddish brown background with highlighted areas of green, yellow and red. The central design of an incised beetle or scarab is a familiar symbol found on Peruvian pottery.

Each of the jars is signed by the artist under the base, Robert, and the letter M enclosed within the letter C, Chulucanas Peru, 1999 and is in fine, ready to display condition.  This pretty 7 1/4 inch by 7 1/2 inch hexagonal Otagiri plate/tray is done in green, red, blue and gold tones on a black matte background.

The 8 3/8 inch in diameter plate is a marvelous rendering of Napoleon’s victory arch built in the early 1800’s, and much associated with the welcoming entrance into Paris. The artist-signed arch scene is slightly recessed, and the surrounding 1 inch gilt scroll and leaf design appears as bright and elegant as it did forty years ago.

Wonderful craftsmanship and artistry went into making this 10 1/2 inch long pottery bell by R. Yazzie, of the Navajo Nation.

Narrower at the top, with 5 1/4 inch flaring bottom opening, the wind bell is painted in earth tones such as warm brown, cocoa, ivory and charcoal on a smooth matte background. The design features geometric lines, native symbols, and tepee structures.

Two pottery pieces made of the same composition as the bell are in place. One is a 5 inch long diamond shape, that hangs beneath the bell to catch the wind, while the second one is a 3 inch in diameter circular clapper, inside of the bell, that sounds with a deep, resonant bell tone. These pieces are attached to sturdy, jute rope, through a top opening. The total length of the bell and rope together is 16 inches.

Etched inside the wind bell is the artist’s name, R. Yazzie, a date of May 24, 1981, along with Navajo, Mesa Verde Pottery. We are pleased to be able to offer this superb pottery bell from a renowned Navajo artist at a low purchase price.  Tall cylinder vase, in flamed glaze of grape and pinkish colours. Base stamped Oriflame, Wilkinsons, Royal Staffs Pottery. England. with a patent number. Crackle glaze on earthenware body. Measures 23.5 cm high and base is 8.2 cm diameter (9.1/4 inches by 3.1/4 inches). It has a scratched area on one side, otherwise excellent condition. Very unusual.
