Newport Pottery.  This is a lovely deep rose glazed salt and pepper set from Dryden Pottery. These stopper top jug shakers still have their original cork stoppers, though the one on the salt has surface damage. The larger shaker is marked 'S' and the smaller one 'P' (please see photos). The salt shaker is marked what appears to be '70'. James Dryden began Dryden Pottery in 1946 in Ellsworth Kansas. He used locally harvested clay and glaze materials from Kansas. He moved the pottery to Hot Springs Arkansas, a popular tourist destination, in 1956. Again he used native or local clay and glaze materials from the area in Arkansas. Later the pottery replaced the local clay with a refined commercial clay that fires bone-white. The pottery is still going strong today, 64 years later. I do not know the actual age of this item.

The large salt shaker is 4 1/4" high and 2 3/8" diameter; the pepper is 3 3/8" high and 2 1/8" diameter.

The bottom of the large salt shaker is marked Dryden / 70. Please see photos.

The shaker set is in excellent condition, though it could use light cleaning. It doesn't appear to have been used; there is no material residue inside. There are no nicks, flea-bites, chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. As mentioned before the cork stopper on the salt has surface damage but the stoppers can be replaced. Spots are reflections from photography flash and lighting.  A 2 5/8" wide china cottage. An illustration of The Royal Pavilion, Brighton, England on the roof. In good condition.

French porcelain perfume bottle. Blue ground with light blue and gold floral motif. 18th century. 3-1/4" length by 2" width by ˝" depth. Perfume in excellent condition, stopper has been recreated.  Urn set of 4 with the covers marked von Schierholz, W. Germany with a crown mark on the larger of the two egg shaped urns. The other three are marked with a large N and a crown mark. All 4 pieces have the same gold trim and accents. The patterns are the same on the three with the N mark and the other is typically the same but the design is more pronounced. This is a beautiful and impressive set that we wish we had more information on but bought at an antique estate sale. The two tall urns are 11 inches high and 5 1/2 inches wide. One cover has a hair line crack and a chip on the bottom of the top. The two egg shaped urns are slightly different by about 1/4 of an inch. The tall is 9 inches high and 5 1/2 inches wide. One has a small inside cover rim chip and the other has a small inside rim chip. This is a rare, beautiful set and is sold as found. It is very heavy and may have to be shipped via dimensional weight according to your zip code. We will advise if there are any differences.  Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry. Native American pottery of the U.S. southwest has long been considered collectible and today can fetch many thousands of dollars per piece. Authors, collectors, and dealers Carol and Allen Hayes provide readers with a concise overview of the pottery of the southwest, from its origins in the Bastketmaker period (around 400 AD) to the Spanish entrada (1540 AD-1879 AD) to today's new masters. Readers will find dozens of color images depicting pottery from the Zuni, Hopi, Anasazi, and many other peoples. Maps help readers identify where these master potters and their peoples lived (i.e. the Pueblo - a tribal group or area). Pottery of the Southwest will serve as a useful introduction as well as a lovely guide for enthusiasts.  Planter in a lovely yellow.
