Cake or Pastry Server, Baum Bros., Formalities. These two beautiful cake servers are 9 3.4" long. One is pale blue with pink and gold flowers, and the other is light green with purple and rust colored flowers. The edges are trimmed in gold. They are in good condition. The underside of the handles have a small square roughly the size of a dime where the glossy top layer of glaze was not applied. This is a common flaw seen in porcelain servers. It takes nothing away from the shabby chic beauty of the cake server. They each have the Baum Bros. mark.  Vase, Teacher, Baum Bros., Marci, Children of the Inner Light. This vase is 7 1/4" tall. The teacher is depicted on the front dressed in a black blouse and black polkadot skirt, with hearts falling from one hand. The reverse side is marked "Teacher" with the following compliment: "You share your gifts of patience knowledge and understanding, for your contribution to our world. Thank you!"  Vintage 1960's Planter/Bowl #006, Covina Pottery Co., California. This bowl measures 5 1/2" across and 3" high. It is a lovely azure blue color. Covina Pottery was founded in 1943 in southern California, and produced items into the 1990's when it went out of business. Aside from two pinhead-sized glaze fleks on one end of the edge, it is in very good condition. It has the Covina Pottery Cal. mark plus a "Coronet Ceramics Made in U.S.A." label.  Vase, Beebe California, Pink Roses, 1940s. This beautiful vintage vase measures 6" tall and 5" wide. It is adorned with gorgeous pink roses and green foliage. It also has hand-painted gold leaf accents. This vase is in excellent condition; no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is marked in gold -- "Porcelain Beebe California".

The dish is in excellent condition with the Formalities by Baum Bros. mark.  Vase, Baum Bros. Formalities, Leaf Collection. This spectacular gold vase is 12 1/2" tall. Formalities Leaf Collection mark (see last photo).  Antique Franz Bischoff limoges porcelain tray. c: 1892-1907. Click on other pics for better view. Signed legibly: Franz A. Bischoff on display left side. Green backstamp on back: T&V France, (mark 5a, pg. 193, M. Gaston's book). Gorgeous tray with pierced handles; 10.5 x 10 inches. Backside reveals possible small professional repairs when looking at it under a black light. Two small areas, (one is about 3/4 inch; other is less than a pea size), show up as 'white' under the blacklight. This could just be where the porcelain is thinner, or they could be repairs. In any case, if they are repairs, whomever did it was a pro; and they were likely just very minor surface flakes off the porcelain. Frontside has one area on the gold that is a bit lighter, (very tiny spot), but nothing shows up under the blacklight. The painting on this tray is superb; the faces of the figurines are wonderful. Bischoff was one of the premier porcelain artists in the 19th, early 20th C; known for his famous roses and later landscapes. Since none of the 'flaws', if they are indeed real flaws, are visible from front display side; and not really detectible from back unless looking at it under a light, I consider them minor. It is a true one of a kind work of art. This would make a fabulous luxury gift! This item was in a Frank Boos auction at one time and believe this was the listed price on it, (FB is now deceased; he was the older guy with the bow tie on Antiques Roadshow). Price is firm. As is, as described. Cashier's check only; usa buyer's only and buyer to pick up and arrange own insurance; must sign release form at pick up.  Antique Franz Bischoff hand painted porcelain tray. c:1864-1929. Click on other pics for better view. A fabulous work of art! Signed very legibly: 'Franz A. Bischoff' and was previously appraised and authenticated by the Boos Gallery in MI several years ago. Franz Arthur Bischoff was born in Austria; founded the Bischoff School of Ceramic Art in New York and Detroit, then moved to CA. Bischoff was one of the most famous ceramic artists in North American in the late 19th C. and early 20th C. His early work was comprised of these very decorative porcelain trays with gold cartouches and roses, which are harder to come by than his later works consisting of oil paintings and large vases. This stunning tray has pink and yellow roses with teal green leaves. No chips, cracks or repairs. It is 15.5 long x 10.5 wide. (A round plate recently sold for $35,000 at Butterfields exclusive of buyer's premium & sales tax). Bischoff was known as the 'King of the Rose Painters', (see Edan Hughes, 'Artists in California', 1786-1940). Cashier's check only; USA buyer's only and buyer to pick up and arrange own insurance and sign release form at pick up.
