Gorgeous and so Art Deco Bonbone lided box, Showing Clarice Cliff style decorations, No stamp but for impressed numbers not readable, I just adore the colours and deco shape and decorations, Measuring approximately 5 3/4 inches in diameter and approximately 5 inches high, No chips, one very fine hair line 2 inches long hardly visible.  These are wonderful Shorter & Son England Stoke On Trent Majolica fish plates.  All are in excellent condition and is approximately 8 x 8 inches.  This design has often been attributed to the renowned English artist, Clarice Cliff.


Perfect for a seaside or beach decor, as well as for serving!  A wonderful holiday gift!

 This is a rectangular plate in a shape called The Biarritz designed for Royal Staffordshire A.J. Wilkinson potteries, Staffordshire England in an apple chintz with gold floral chintz overlay during the time Clarice Cliff was art director and dated 12/1938. The ironstone dinner or luncheon plate measures 7.75 inches high by 9 inches wide.  The plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or gold wear. A lovely pattern.  This is a delightful teacup or demitasse cup with saucer from renowned English artist, Clarice Cliff.


The set is from the Newport Pottery Company in Burslem, England.  The pattern name is Ophelia.


The set is in excellent condition, with one small rough spot on the bottom of the cup - cannot be seen.


The cup is 2.5 inches high, and the saucer's diameter is 5 inches.


This would be a wonderful addition to any fine cup and saucer collection.

VINTAGE DINNER PLATE BY ROYAL STAFFORDSHIRE IN THE TONQUIN PATTERN, DESIGNED BY CLARICE CLIFF. THIS DINNERWARE WAS MADE IN ENGLAND. THE TRANSFER IS A RICH BROWN COLOR. MEASURES 10 INCHES ACROSS. EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is a Clarice Cliff for Royal Staffordshire, Staffordshire England ironstone blue transferware dinner plate in the Charlotte design 1920-1930s made after her Bizarre period. The dinner plate pattern is a lovely flower basket transfer or transferware design with a lovely molded swirled and scalloped floral border. The plate is 10 inches in diameter and the is in excellent condition with the no chips or cracks and only very minor utensil marks.  Very pretty design by a very collectible designer.   This is a Clarice Cliff for Royal Staffordshire, Staffordshire England ironstone blue transferware dinner plate in the Tonquin design 1920-1930s made after her Bizarre period. The dinner plate pattern is an oriental landscape transfer or transferware design with a lovely molded floral border. The plate is 10 inches in diameter and the is in very good +++ condition with the no chips or cracks and only very minor utensil marks.  Very pretty design by a very collectible designer.   This is a charming item from this highly sought after English artist's work.


It is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, restorations, etc.  The colors are beautifully vibrant!

The cup is 2.5 inches high by 3.75 in diameter, the saucer is 5.5 in diameter and the set is in very good +++ condition with the only flaw a small cup base rim chip.  Very pretty design by a very collectible designer.   This is a rectangular plate in a shape called The Biarritz designed in the 1930s for Royal Staffordshire A.J. Wilkinson potteries, Staffordshire England in the Rural Scenes design by Clarice Cliff in polychrome brown transfer or transferware. The large ironstone dinner or serving plate measures 10.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches high. Rural Scenes is a known design by Clarice Cliff as noted in the guides and Clarice Cliff website and this is especially nice with the hand painted over transfer design. It has the British Registry date for 1934. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or gold wear. A neat and very large piece from a very collectible designer and company.  This is a delighter pair of Shorter & Sons Stoke-On-Trent England salt and pepper shakers in the fish design which has been attributed to Clarice Cliff.  Seldom available in the States, they are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, restorations, etc.


They are yellow and green, and the yellow is darker than shown in the picture.


They are approximately 2 1/2 inches in height and 3 1/2 inches in length.


They likely date to the 1930s.


These would be a fabulous addition to any majolica collection, be wonderful at a seaside cottage or part of a salt and pepper collection!

Featured for your enjoyment is another wonderful item from Minnesota’s Attic.  This wonderful

art deco cup and saucer is marked with a mystery mark. It also has Ivory, England on the mark. It

has a very very art deco styling with the horizontal expanding ribs and the straight triangular

form and handle. The ivory color is trimmed in black with vibrant oranges scattered about.  This 10.5 inch in diameter ironstone large dinnerplate or charger was designed by Clarice Cliff in the 1930s for Royal Staffordshire, Wilkinson, England. It is a wonderful rural landscape design with cows and farmer of hand colored on brown transferware center with green border and before her Bizarre period. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. THIS SET OF 4 HARVEST DINNER PLATES IS IN THE HARD TO FIND LAVENDER OR PLUM COLOR. THIS TRANSFER WARE PATTERN WAS DESIGNED BY THE FAMOUS ENGLISH ARTIST CLARICE CLIFF AND MANUFACTURED BY A. J. WILKINSON IN ENGLAND. THE PLATES ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS, OR REPAIRS. THEY ARE STAMPED WITH THE CLARICE CLIFF INSIGNIA AND A. J. WILKINSON BACKSTAMP WHICH DATES THIS PATTERN TO CIRCA 1939.  IT ALSO HAS THE ARTIST’S MARK. THESE  4 LARGE PLATES MAKE A LOVELY DECORATOR’S DISPLAY IN ANY ROOM.  Beautiful antique 1930s MOORCROFT plate! This is the highly collectible “powder blue mottled” pattern in the size 6 ½ inch   across. The plate has impressed back markings, the famous script signature of what looks to be WmMoorcroft Potter to the Queen ( queen Mary) Made in England. The plate is near excellent condition with one pinhead size nick on the underside, very difficult to notice, otherwise no cracks, or restoration. A very nice attractive and popular example of old Moorcroft to add to your collection!  Wonderful English HAND PAINTED ART DECO 1930's teapot stand! This is a lovely colorful teapot stand that reminds one of Clarice Cliff-Susie Cooper. The piece is marked in black Made in England with hand written in brown 0.1027 with initial J-most likely the artist's initial. It is in very nice condition-no chips or cracks, just crazing as is common for this ware, otherwise lovely. A wonderful colorful HAND PAINTED teapot stand to add to one's collection!
