Ceramic's from the period before and after WW II, had a simple beauty about them. The white ceramic has a certain Art Deco style but the gold lustre finish adds to the graceful design. The tray is 4 1/4" diameter. The condiment jar has a design flaw that appears a a chip on the rim, which is shown in our pictures. A plastic ladle is included with the condiment jar. The pieces have the Red Mark "TA" back stamp which indicates that the maker is Tashiro Shoten LTD, which was started before WW II , and closed in 1954.  This lovely hand painted lustrous pastel colored ashtray dish is shades of pinks, oranges, and greens on a creamy ivory ground. The sculpted dish reveals layers of cherries, strawberries, kumquats, other fruits and grapes. It is accented with gold lines. The flared ashtray is somewhat paisley shaped. And there is an applied bunch of leaves and fruit at one side. In the era of Mad Men, large sculpted ashtrays like this were part of the living room decorations of a well appointed home. I do not know the age of this item. The ashtray dimensions are: 6" x 10 1/2" x 2" high. The bottom of the ashtray dish is stamp marked in red: Hand Painted / BETSON. Please see photos. This lovely ashtray dish is in very good to excellent used condition, though it could use light dusting and cleaning. It has fine surface scratches consistent with its age, normal use and storage. There are several glaze-missed areas and over-all crazing shown in close-up pictures. There is no damage; no chips, cracks or repairs. Colors may vary due to differences in computer monitors. Spots are reflections from photography flash and lighting. This is an excellent display dish and can hold baubles or treats.  This is a vintage girl pirate planter. I do not know a lot about her. I would say from her looks that she was made in Japan, but am not sure because whe is not marked with a country of origin. She is numbered: K2558. She is in excellent used condition, with no chips or breaks. She is approx. 6 inches tall X 4.5 inches wide X 3.5 inches thick. I am attaching pictures. If you have any questions, please e-mail. Tea Set is in excellant condition and looks amazing on display. With Tea pot,creamer, sugar, 2 cups and 4 saucers. Tea for two wont be anything but delightful , airy and full of good cheer, with this little set for two. "Made in Japan", is inlayed on bottom of item.Dogwood Blossoms? Cherry? they are handpainted on the set.The handles are enchanting , taking on the look of Bamboo. COOL~ Happy High Tea To You~  Amish man and woman stand approx. 4 1/4" tall. The painting on the faces of these two is very nicely done. They both retain their original foil labels: Brinn's Pittsburgh PA. Made In Japan. CONDITION: Excellent with no chips, cracks or paint wear. Both have original plastic stoppers.  Holt Howard salt and pepper ducks are unglazed terracotta color pottery with decorative paint. One has white paint, the other does not, to distinguish the salt from the pepper, I suppose. they measure 2 1/2" tall and both have the original "HH Japan" foil label. CONDITION: Very good with no chips or cracks. Both have their original plastic stoppers.  A charming hand painted and scalloped luncheon plate, 8.25" diameter. In excellent condition. Meito Celeste Square Lunch Plates set of $72.00
Celeste is the name of this pattern made in delicate fine china by Meito of Japan. All of the decoration is hand painted. The set of 6 berry or dessert bowls are in excellent condition.  white with blue, maroon, gold dragon on it and maroon, gold flames 6 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide on the buttom is red is made in Japan  Holt Howard 1964 blue eyed Santa 4 piece table set includes: Salt & Pepper~4 1/2" tall Napkin Holder~4 1/2" tall Candy/Cookie Dish~8" long x 6" wide All pieces have original foil labels on the bottom plus the napkin and dish are stamped in black: Holt Howard Japan 1964. CONDITION: Napkin Holder-Perfect with no chips, cracks or missing paint. Dish-perfect with no chips, cracks or missing paint (white freckles on his nose are part of the paint job). Salt-Almost perfect, a few tiny flecks of black paint missing from the back of his mittens. Pepper-has issues-some nicks and chips from the surface glaze, including eye. Some retouch on red paint.  This is a salt and pepper set of two spotted dogs with display tray, in the original storage/gift box. The dogs are pottery and the two piece tray is aluminum with red bakelite handles. All the pieces fit nicely into the box for storage. CONDITION: Other than fading, the box is in excellent condition. The tray is in perfect condition. One shaker (on the right) has a small chip near the nose. The other has a crack to the center of his back, that in part, may have begun as a casting flaw. All that considered, they display very well.

This is a vintage Japan beehive honey pot or server. The body is a basket weave pattern with painted bees. The lid sports a bee as the handle. The opening is secured with a large cork. Very cute piece and done in a nice sunshine yellow. CONDITION: Very good with no chips or cracks. A little very faint, fine crazing.  We are offering a vintage decanter. The handpainted piece is a man holding a cup and stands 7 inches tall to the top of the finial which is the man's head. The stopper is cork. Exquisite color and detail. It has a foil label marked Nikoniko dating to the 1950's. The decanter id free of chips, cracks, nicks, or repairs. The net weight is 9 ounces.  This is a made Japan unknown maker 3 7/8" tall kissing girl angel figurine. It is white cold paint with gold accents & stars on her white robe. It is in excellent condition.  Pretty ENESCO white porcelain 8-sided pedestal bowl with raised grape decorations. Made in Japan. Signed on the bottom. 7-1/2" in diameter and 5-3/4" tall. ENESCO White Grapel Decorated Porcelain $12.95
This is a Banko Japanese man wall pocket. It is 8 1/4" tall x 4" wide. It is earthenware. He has a bisque head, hands & jar with cold paint. A fired porcelain with green pants, jacket & brown bamboo basket. It is in very good condition with no crazing but does have 1 hairline at the waistline that you cannot see without looking hard for it. It has the impressed mark on the back.  Novelty planter labeled Rubin's Originals of Los Angeles made in Japan. This sweet, different planter is in the shape of a baby rattle with a big bow on the handle and lovely applied design of roses and leaves with nice gold accents and trim. There are a couple of small paint chips on the bow that could easily be touched up. It is 3 1/4 inches high and 8 1/2 inches long. It is so sweet and sold as found.  I remember a porcelain candy dish just like this on my Grandma's side table, usually filled with those little pastel pillow mints. It's in the Norcrest Dresden Rose pattern from the 1950s and has three sections with a curved bracelet-like center handle. Each section has a pretty pink rose and rosebuds spray surrounded by gold thread decoration. The dish is 7-1/2" diameter and in perfect condition with no damage and little if any wear to the gold trim.  Pretty porcelain egg cache box with flow blue style exterior and gilt trim with a hinged lid and a rose pattern inside. Unsigned. 3-3/4". Fine condition with no damage. 1970s.

Vintage 1950's TIKI Vase/Mug, Harvey's, Made in Japan. This highly collectible vase is 8" tall and 3" across. It features 2 swaying palm trees, an outrigger, and an attractive hula girl. The sails on the outrigger are embellished with the words: "Sail With Harvey's". There are two of these vases available and they are becoming increasingly hard to find. Other than overall light crazing, they are in excellent vintage condition. They are marked "Made in Japan".  Alto unmarked, this is a 4 inch high collectible by Thames. The pink flower with gold trim and the familiar leaves and their markings are identical to those found quit often on the vintage pieces made by Thames. No chips or cracks. Size to top of handle 4 inches. Width from spout to handle 5 inches.  This is a GNCO "Natural Bridge, VA" 2 oz. demitasse cup and a 4" demitasse saucer. They are white with a picture of the Natural Bridge, VA with gold trim. They are in excellent condition.  A set of 3 ashtrays in the shape of a violin. Burgundy and black color with gold trim. Measures 8.5 in. x 4.25 in. 4.5 in. x 3.25 in. and 4 in. x 2.75 in. Marked Ucago China Hand Painted, Japan. The smallest one has a chip. Please view images carefully. Beautiful Japanese floral decorated ginger jar with lid. Signed on the bottom "Made in Japan". 8" tall. Fine condition and looks new. 1960s.  Autumn is just around the corner and this condiment container and matching salt & pepper shaker set in a nut design will be perfect for a table service. The container is 4.75 in. tall and measures 4 in. diameter. The shakers are 1.25 in. tall. Bottom marked Inarco D 3239 on the container and E 3237 on the shakers. I believe from the '50's-'60's era. In good usable condition with just a tiny glaze chip on a nut on the the cover of the container. No cracks.  A wonderful old watering can made in Japan. It is almost 7 full inches tall and is 11 1/2 inches from handle to tip of spout. Width is 5 1/4 inches. It does show some crazing, but no chips or cracks.  Midwinter Stoneware W R Blue Print Cream and Sugar with Lid. This pattern features a blue flower print with a brown stoneware edge along the bottom and was produced from 1980 to 1990. This set is a hard to find piece and not as easily found as other pieces. This pattern is exactly the same as the Midwinter pattern that was produced in England but this set was produced in Japan, apparently Midwinter had factories in both Japan and England. This set is about 3 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across, it is in excellent condition. Please see our other listings for additional pieces in this pattern.
