I believe the raised pattern on this cup is known as majolica. The colors are very bright and it projects a scene which would please a hunter.

The basic color of the cup is beige, both inside and out, with some gold trim. The scene has a black background. The birds are shades of brown and white. with red - and the dog is brown. The trees and grass are a deep green.

This cup is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks, and no mars in the scene. There are no stains on the inside It is very nice. The coloring in the picture, which shows the mark on the bottom, is showing the bottom of the cup as a different color. This is because I could not get the marks using the flash. The bottom is the same color as the inside.

The cup stands three and one-quarter inches tall and the top opening is two and one-quarter inches in diameter.

Thank you for looking!

Beautiful Antique Germany Majolica Duck Planter. This planter is done in wonderful vibrant colors, it is a very old piece and has a stamped mark on the bottom which I think says Germany, it is very blurry and hard to read so it is possible that it could say something else. It measures just over 7 inches tall by about 4 1/2 inches long. It is in very good condition, no chips, does have a little bit of a waterline way up underneath the inside lip in the wing area which is very difficult to see, also has a spot where it looks like a mold spot that is glazed over. A fabulous addition to your collection!  These great old majolica items usually came out of Japan after the war. They were plentiful in

beer steins. The vases I haven’t seen much of but it has the same detailing as the steins did. This

one has an older couple walking up a path with the dog at their feet. It is unmarked. Excellent

condition. Stands 9" tall by 3 1/2" wide.

Add to your set, or complete a set. Really beautiful design and glaze in these dessert plates from France. In very good condition. No chips, but there are a few little spots underneath where the glaze did not cover. Small, and they came that way. These are beautiful plates dating to @1900. Price and weight is FOR EACH. Choose all or one: Strawberry, Cherry or Plum.  Lovely late 19th century French majolica figural of a canary on a branch with a blue egg, possibly used as a preserve pot or inkwell, although there aren't any stains to go by. 3 in. high x 7 in. long. Marked with a printed rectangle, 1 corner is downturned like a dogearred page in a book which has FRANCE in it, a script G (I can't read the rest) and impressed initials of KF. No cracks, minor crazing mostly on the canary with some graying like what happens on pottery stored in newspaper too long. The only glaze chip is on the tip of the yellow tulip on the lid. No other damage. No repairs or repaint. A charming antique piece perfect for canary or majolica collectors! Free US shipping with delivery confirmation, insurance in included.

Majolica leaf tray. Very nice colors, some crazing; small glaze miss on back near an edge; and one tiny fleabite near the glaze miss on backside. It has a raised number #1730 in a square box. It is 6.75 x 6 wide. It is a very nice item, but not sure on the age. It is not new, but not antique.  This is a lovely piece of Etruscan majolica from Griffin, Smith, and Hill. There are two 'flea bite' small chips on the inside of the rim, see photo. Besides that it is in excellent condition with beautiful color. It is 3 and 1/2 inches tall.  You are looking at an exceptional Johann Moehling (Aich, Bohemia, 1849 - 1875) smokeset featuring a dog and cart. A smokeset from the same mold is seen in a full page illustration - Plate 285 - on page 124 of D. Michael Murray's EUROPEAN MAJOLICA. The one in the illustration is the more common and less desireable monochome version. This one is from Moehling's later production and displays his fully developed skills in molding and color glaze application and development. Among the finest of his production. It is 8.5 inches wide and 5.25 inches high.

Good condition, with a professional repair to the dog's neck  This is a excellent example of a Holdcroft footed bowl. It is in the design of a pond lily and is 8 1/2 inches wide. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

This is a fantastic fully signed Minton majolica barrel-shaped garden seat, 17" high and over 13" in diameter. Great pink and blues colors and wildly articulated oriental design. This is a huge and spectacular piece of majolica. Check it out!

Condition: Fair to Good. There are several tight hairlines - around the top, at the bottom - see photos. None of the cracks are loose or move. No chips. No repairs. The low price reflects the condition issues.  This is a great item for the passionate majolica collector. This is an autographed copy of Wildey C. Rickerson's first book designated a Limited First Edition. 1963, this is the book that first gave comprehensive information to majolica collectors literally starving for a reference on which they could rely.

Condition: A little worn from use.

Note: You will not easily find another autographed copy of this important book!  Vintage Belgium majolica vase. Very nice 2 handled vase with incised mark: #2039 Belgium, and another mark, (artist's initial?). No chips or cracks that I spotted. It is 8 long x 4.5 tall x 5 wide. Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy; the store for collectors, dealers and decorators! narhau10/06  Beautiful Majolica green scalloped edge plate with a dogwood pattern. The collectors Encyclopedia of Majolica by Mariann Katz – Marks pictures this plate in colors instead of solid green and "also says it was unmarked but was obviously made by one of the Major English Potteries." It is approximately 7.87 inches in diameter and does have a chip and missing glaze flakes as shown but is typical of old Majolica pieces. There also is a fine crazing.

Vintage Belgium Majolica Vase $145.00

Majolica Green Scalloped Edge Dogwood Pl $44.78

Antique majolica morning glory pedestal bowl. Good sized gorgeous handled bowl; adds visual interest to your curio cabinet! It does have some flaws as most authentic majolica does. There is wear on the handles, (flecks of glaze off); there is a couple of flecks of glaze off the rim edges, and there is one 3/4 inch glaze separation line, (a shrink line), and some tiny fleabites here & there. You might think it is a 'hairline', but it is not; technically it is a separation line that occurs during firing, (edges of it are glazed and smooth). Antique Majolica is never perfect or mint; if you see something that says that, beware! Near the handle ends it stand almost 4.5 tall and is almost 10 inches wide. It is not marked with a maker's mark; it does have all over crazing, more prominent on bottom when turning it upside down. Despite the aging flaws, it displays beautifully. This was an estate auction purchase, (the previous owner had an entire collection of Majolica and this was one of the nicest pieces). Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy; the store for collectors, dealers and decorators! cryau9.06-CC  Featured for your enjoyment is a stunning old milk pitcher. The spout is shaped like a

face on the end of a tree trunk. The rim has leaves and some sort of fruit. There appears to

be a scene that is from the medieval period of men and women. They are outside a

building, maybe a castle, and you can see two faces in a window peering out at them. The

handle is a branch. It is in excellent condition with just all over fine crazing. Stands 7"

tall by 5 3/4" wide. Marked in black Made in Japan.

Featured for your enjoyment is a wonderful antique majolica pitcher. This is marked

Czechoslovakia, Hand Painted and has BERN embossed along with a 1 1/2. I believe the 1 1/2 is

litters as it is 2 quarts full to the top. It is done in a cobalt blue with colorful fruits, pears, grapes,

plumes and leaves. There is a factory blemish on one side, shown. Looks like it sat too close to

the side of the kiln. Also a hairline at the back near the handle, also shown. Stands 8" tall by 7

1/4" from spout to handle.

Featured for your enjoyment is a darling old vase! This little girl and boy are standing under an

apple tree. You can see the apples on the stump on the back side. Done in a majolica glaze of

green. It is in great condition. Has crazing and a tight hairline. This does leak very lightly so it

does go all the way threw. It is in figural vase/planters books as unknown maker. Stands 7 1/2"

tall.

Majolica Milk Pitcher Figural Spout $40.00

Antique Czech Majolica Pitcher Fruit Cob $50.00

Darling Majolica Vase Figural Girl & Boy $25.00

Featured is a darling old figurine that has a Snow White look to me. It is so detailed! You can see

her hair pulled back in a pretty bow. He shawl drapes gracefully over her shoulders and slides off

one arm. The flowing curves of her dress blend into her form. Her bonnet has a bow with a tiny

part seen in front and the rest in back. She even has slippers on her feet! The curve of her

graceful back as she reaches for the next flower to pick screams 20’s! She is done in a green

majolica glaze. She is in excellent condition. There is a flea bite on her bonnet rim and her

outstretched finger tips. There are two glaze rubs on the bottom on the back. She stands 8" tall by

8 3/4" wide.

Featured for your enjoyment is a lovely cake plate marked Oriental Majolica Japan. This is NOT

the Majolica you are thinking of. It is a lovely pattern. Roses and poppies. Bright, lively colors in

reds, blues and green. Does have a few tiny nicks about the rim. Measures 12 1/4" across and

stands 5/8" tall on a thin base.

Gorgeous blended glaze vintage art pottery cuspidor. Has a majolica style glaze finish; looks like either vintage Weller item; (basing that on the deep maroon and green coloring; the age; design, style, weight, etc. and resembles some of the Weller jardinaires), or early Brush McCoy, (see pg. 184, row 4 of Huxford's book. No chips or cracks; some crazing more visible on interior of pot; and one pinhead piece of clay waste on exterior body. It is 7.5 wide at top rim and 5.5 tall. A fabulous, one of a kind, piece of vintage art pottery for your collection! Shipping to USA destinations only unless you are a repeat customer.  Majolica style handled tray/butter pat. It looks like an aster flower; and it has an incised mark on bottom and a worn, smooth aged bottom rim. There is a small plate that looks very similar to this item in the book on Majolica. It has one fleabite on edge, and one tiny surface flake on a flower tip; and some crazing. Even if this is not antique Majolica, it will fit in with other Majolica quite nicely. And, if it is antique Majolica, then you're getting a great deal! It is 8 x 7 inches. (Incised mark on bottom is a circle with a J or C in it; and looks like a V and 6, but not sure.

Antique Majolica Rose and Rope Platter. Heavy-duty plate with cobalt center; known as the Rose and Rope pattern shown in M. Katz-Marks book on Majolica. This platter is in good overall antique display condition; some very tiny flaws as can be expected. It is 11 x 10.25 inches and has initial 'A' on backside. Now for the flaws; one teensy fleabite on backside near rim edge; and some teensy rough spots on frontside; spots on the raised areas where the glaze didn't quite cover, and one white line in the clay in the cobalt area, (there is glaze over this however); nothing really distracting or diminishing. A great piece of Majolica for your collection! Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy; the store for collectors, dealers and decorators!  Heavy white porcelain Figural, could also be a cigarette holder marked in ink on bottom: Made in Japan.

Wings are gold gilt trimmed to accent the feathers.

This open mouthed fellow stands 4 inches tall. Base measures 4.75 inches X 2.75 inches.

No chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing. Has minor gold wear. His bill has just a bit of paint wear.

Enhance your dinnerware table setting with a conversation piece.  This circa 1870's majolica strawberry server is shaped like a lily pad. It originally had flower shaped sugar-sifting and cream ladles (bowls) that sat on the "lilys" on both nsides of the handles but unfortunately they are missing. The strawberry dish is in good condition for its age. It has overall crazing, a hairline crack in the stem handle that does not go all the way through, and one spot on the edge where the glaze is missing but this is not a chip. The bottom edge also has spots where the glaze has worn off. This piece is not marked (or not visibly) but while doing my research I found 2 absolutely identical with the George Jones impressed monogram so I have attributed this to him. The dish is exactly like the one pictured in the 2001 Millers Antiques price guide on page 250.  1960's hand made divided serving dish from Italy. Fruit design with 4 sections. Is 10" X 10" with handles making the one side 11". Back stamped with "handpainted Made In Italy, T.M.J-A4/82". On handle has a flea chip and some glaze crackling, but not noticeable, otherwise in excellent condition.

This elegant piece of the past features an ART NOUVEAU STYLE with a BEAUTIFUL WOMANS PORTRAIT on it.

The design of the vase is called EGGPLANT. The body is a RICH CRIMSON COLOR. The handles and stem are an OLIVE GREEN. The inside of the vase is an AQUA/GREEN glaze.

The PORTRAIT of the WOMAN is on a primary white background. A dealer friend of ours advised us that this is a TRANSFER PRINT. The woman has dark brown hair and is wearing a HEAD BAND that is decorated with ORANGE and BLUE JEWELS or BEADS. She also has a white flower in her hair. The blue beads are also shown as a decoration in her clothing. Her blouse is white and is off shoulder. Her dress is orange. We have seen these type of portraits on French porcelain items.

The vase also has gold accents.

The numbers 7927 are on the left side of the bottom of the vase and 49 is on the right side of the bottom of the vase. There is also a black mark that is not legible. It appears that this vase has a European origin.

The CONDITION is GOOD. The colors of the body of the vase are rich and vibrant. There is some wear to the gold accents. If you look hard enough you can see some light crazing on the green glaze that encircles the portrait. There are also

3 pinhead sized marks, round depressions, that we understand are sometimes caused during the firing process.

This beautiful majolica sauceboat and plate was manufactured by Crown Devon. We also were told this was a creamer, and gravy boat, but we thought sauceboat fit this English piece perfectly. There is a wonderful floral design on both sides of the handle. This piece dates from the late 19th century to the early 20th century and is in average condition with only the one chip shown, staining inside and a drop of paint and a fine even crazing all over. The mark reads Crown Devon Made in England. On the both pieces there is an embossed A 37 and then on the sauceboat there are some numbers. The sauceboat is approximately 5.25 inches long from the spout to the end of the handle, 2.75 inches tall at the highest point. The under plate is approximately 5.50 inches long and 3.50 inches wide. This is one lovely old piece of Stoke on Trent Pottery.
