Very cute vintage novelty planter. Features a girl and boy with bucket or basket. Aqua color; no cracks; has a pea sized rounded chip or bubble burst on backside near bottom rim and a glaze miss. Yellow dry clay bottom. This is likely Morton Pottery or ZSC item but have not checked books yet. Heavy. It stands 4.25 tall x 5 long. Great for a windowsill. 1/12vwmc  Vintage matte squa planter. I can make out the USA mark on bottom; above that I can make out an M...; likely Morton Pottery Co. It stands 5.5 tall x 6.25 wide; perfect for violets or orchids. Flaws: pinpops; rub area on top rim and a large unglazed area in bottom of pot; edges are smooth so it's not a chip and you cannot see it from the outside anyway. It also has 2 gouges in the dry bottom rim; one of the gouges is barely noticeable when pot is upright and only if you are looking for it. Age est: 1930's. 1/12dixcs  Very nice lady standing near a well planter. It is probably a Morton or Hull item; haven't checked the books yet. Has incised USA mark on backside. It stands 6 tall x 5.5 long. 12/11smc  Cute little vintage Morton Pottery planter. It is only 2.75 tall x almost 4 inches wide. Great for a mini-African violet plant! Incised Morton USA mark on bottom. No chips or cracks; has a drainage hole. Some lime/mineral residue which comes off with your fingernail. 11/11nhcs

Vintage Aqua USA Pot & Saucer $36.00

Vintage USA Lady and Well Planter $32.50

Morton Pottery Pot & Saucer $28.50

Vintage Morton Pottery planter. Nice condition; it is 5 tall x 11 long. It has 2 clay separation lines near top rim; these are not cracks per se; it is where the clay separated during firing, and glaze fills in; there is a line but the edges are smooth. Really pretty for a windowsill, dresser, shabby chic room, or back of the commode. You can put pot pourri, silk plants, roll tea towels, etc. McCoy also made a double cache planter, but theirs has a bird on it and more common than the Morton. 10/11smc  Thick, heavy vintage Morton Pottery kitchen plaque. It is not marked but is shown clearly in the book on Morton. It is 7.5 long x 6 wide. It has an eyehole for hanging. There is one tight, faint hairline on backside and some of the cold paint is coming off the apple. The rest of the fruit is not cold painted. You can touch up the cold paint, and run a bead of superglue along the back on the hairline. This is a hard to find item, displays very nice. l0/11#est  Morton head vase is an elegant lady with a hat in white pottery, it is in fairly good condition, there is some crazing and one hairline, the vase is 9 inches tall.  Vintage yellow pottery planters. The cat is a Morton Potter item; nice condition, heavy duty for its size. It is 3 tall x 4 long. Next is a duck planter; looks similar to a Zanesville item but not quite. Has crazing but no chips or cracks. It is 4.5 tall x 5.25 long. Last is a rabbit and egg planter; this item is probably not vintage but is very cute. It is marked on back: Farmer Fanny and is 2.5 tall x 3 wide. 5/11estscs

Cute planter with pink rabbit and tree trunk. 99% sure it is a Morton Pottery novelty item. Flat dry bottom. Some mineral deposits on it which come off with your fingernail, and a tiny surface flake off bottom rim. It also has some spidering on interior bottom which doesn't show. Just a cute little vintage novelty planter for the shelf or windowsill! 4/11scs  Calico Cat Vase, Cats by Nina, 2001. This vase is 11 1/8" tall, 7" wide at the base and 4 1/4" deep. The beautiful black, orange and white cat is spectacular all around. Even the interior back of his head is decorated. There is a pinhead-sized paint piece missing off the edge of the base. Otherwise there are no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. It is signed in two places; on the back at the bottom and again on the base.   Neat Morton Pottery bird planter that I think is also a wallpocket. It has a hole on underside of tail which you can use to hang it. No chips or cracks. It is 7 long x 5.5 wide. 4/10gscs  Neat old Morton Pottery man and cactus planter. Interior has dirt residue, but no chips or cracks. There are some glaze pops on man's hat. It is 7.5 long x 4 tall and is shown in the Morton book. Meow! Three vintage pottery cat planters. The stretch cat is a Morton Pottery item. The other cat w/ball and upright cat is unknown, could be Morton, Brush, Shawnee, RRP, not sure. The cat w/ball planter is 5.25 long x 2.75 tall; and the upright cat is 4.75 tall; stretch cat is 4 long x 3 tall. All are in good vintage condition and make a great display. 1/10+8/08#2827br  Two vintage lovebird planters. 2 for one price. One on right looks like a Morton item; one of left could be Morton, Shawnee or Brush-McCoy, (will check soon); Both are very cute and in good vintage condition. The taller one is 5.75 tall; other one is 5.25 tall. Nice gift for someone in a nursing home; older ladies seem to love the birdies!  Matched pair of Morton Pottery lovebird planter vases. No chips or cracks. They are a bit over 6.5 tall. Very cute! 8/09gscs  Here is a nice violet pot with what appears to be a Holly or leaf & berry pattern. I believe it is Morton but could be Shawnee or Brush McCoy; I can't find it in any of my books. The condition is very good, no chips, cracks or repairs. This is a smaller pot, about 4" tall and 4 1/4" in diameter.

Vintage Cliftwood Art Pottery elephant. Very unique, hard to find item. This elep is heavy w/runny aqua glaze. Identical ones are shown in the Cliftwood section of the Morton book in the white glaze and black glaze, w/same side bags on pg.109; this glaze is shown on previous page. The book says this was intended as a planter, but there are no drainage holes in the side bags. I think it may have been for matches or business cards. It is 4.5 tall x 6.5 long. The ones shown in the book are the larger size. He has one small round glaze miss or flake chip off glaze near bottom foot, not visually noticeable unless looking for it. 1/09#motant  Pretty vintage Morton Pottery pot and saucer. 1940s Morton Pottery Miniature Green Hor $9.00

Made of heavy ceramic is this unusual "White Cat Planter" circa 1940s. There are no markings, but, the bars on the bottom make it look like a Morton Pottery. Measures 10" long x 5 1/2" tall. In good condition and SHINY IN/OUT.  Featured for your enjoyment is a wonderful old piece of Morton Pottery. This soft pink dove has

just lighted on the outstretched branch of a stump. she seems so real as you can see the feathers

on her back. She does have a tiny nick on her beak and a flea bite on the top of the tail. She

stands 4 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" wide.

Vintage Cliftwood art pottery vase. Age est: 1920's-30's. Good size vase, heavy, attractive. It has a lot of crazing and spidering inside and out; the crazing doesn't really show much on the exterior due to the multi glaze. Some of the crazing are actual crackles in the outer glaze, not like hairlines, but you can feel breaks in the surface glaze. This is likely due to its age and the type of glaze used.

It has several little itsy-bitsy rim nicks on upper rim; 3 tiny surface flakes off bottom rim only one of which is barely visible when vase is upright. There is also a navy blue splotch on top rim; it is under the glaze and this is just how it was made. It is a very nice shelf piece despite the age flaws and hard to find piece of Cliftwood. eaau12.06CC-V  Morton Pottery Squirrel with Basket Planter, 3" high. Pottery speck stuck in glaze near ears, glaze craze, otherwise excellent condition.

Morton Pottery Squirrel with Basket Plan $18.00

Morton Pottery Horse Planter, 3 3/8" high, excellent condition.  Vintage Morton Pottery lovebird planter bookends. Shown in the book by Doris Hall. Both have some flaws as you can see in the pictures. The beaks on each have surface chippies; and there is a small surface chip off the end of a tail feather on one of them. Overall however, they still display quite well, and you get both for one price. And, since they are flawed, you can actually use them as planters for live plants! Trailing ivy would be nice!  Vintage Morton Pottery bird wallpocket planter. Cool vintage bird wallpocket planter, (cockatoo?). It is listed as a Morton Pottery item at the Junkie Monkey website. This old bird has no chips or cracks, some interior soil residue which comes off with your fingernail, and some tiny pinpops in the glaze. Overall condition: good vintage. He stands about 8.25 tall and almost 5 wide. A great old bird for your collection!  Three vintage End-of-Day novelty vases. 3 unique small bisque vases with glazed interiors. They look identical to the ones pictured in the 1995 Vol. 2 book on Morton Pottery by D. Hall, pg. 256, photo #120; but could also be UHL, Camark, or another vintage American pottery company since most of the old Am. pottery companies made similar items. They are 3.5 tall, 1.75 inches wide across top rim, or 2.5 wide from end of handle to other end. The UHL book refers to this type of pottery as End-of-the-day pottery. One of the vases is in very good condition, no chips or cracks. The other has a fleabite on top rim and on the backside of it looks like the color didn't take too well, (it is faded looking, pic #6). 3rd vase shown: not sure if colors faded or was just made like this. These were glazed on the inside so they could hold water and be used as bud vases. The exteriors were left bisque and then decorated by dipping them into water in which water spar enamel was floated. (see Morton book). Very hard to find items!

Vintage barrel mug. Aqua glazed barrel style mug. These types of mugs are shown in the Zanesville, McCoy and Morton pottery books c.1920's and they all look very similar, so it is hard to differentiate between them if they are not marked. No chips or cracks and measures about 4.75 inches high.  Vintage Morton Pottery cat set. All 3, one price! The mama cat is a planter, the two smaller kitties are figurines. All are pictured together in the 1995 book by D. Hall on pg. 225. These are in good overall vintage condition, just a tad of the pink cold paint is missing from their noses and ears. One of the kitties has a glaze miss on the tip of the ear, (it could be a fleabite, but it looks more like a glaze miss), and that's it! Very hard to find all three of these, and especially in this good of condition! Wouldn't they look cute in a cottage/shabby chic decor? Mama cat is about 10 long x 5 wide; little one that is crouching is about 6 long x 4 high.  Vintage Morton Pottery creamer. This is a solid, heavy blue glazed yellow ware creamer made by Morton Pottery Co. Cornflower blue color; shown in the 1995 Morton book, Vol. 2 by Doris Hall, on pg. 249, Vol.2. The book indicates this creamer is part of the Amish Pottery, Pantry Ware line, and also came in yellow and green glaze. This creamer is in good condition with no chips or cracks, just some faint crazing and some clay waste near the bottom rim, and on the interior of the handle. There is also one small glaze miss on the interior of the piece that you can see in the picture. It also looks like there may be a number and name on the bottom but it is under the glaze and very faint. If you have blue in your kitchen or just collect yellow ware, you can't beat this little lovely! The book value in 1995 was $50.  Vintage Morton Pottery pots and saucers. Both for one price! Morton Pottery was only in biz from c:1922-1976. Larger one is aqua bamboo style, measures 5.25 tall x 5.5 wide, dry worn bottom. No chips or crack; has a clay gouge on bottom, some pin pops and some rust. The matchign smaller one is 4.5 x 4.5, one pin pop or tiny flea bite on rim edge. Both are unmarked but shown in the Morton Pottery book. African violets thrive in this vintage pottery!
