Porcelain and Pottery: Robinson Ransbottom Pottery

What's New in the Collector's Showcase of Porcelain and Pottery: Robinson Ransbottom Pottery?
The Most Recent Additions to This Category are First!
Nice Robinson Ransbottom painted crock Artist signed: Colleen. It has no chips or cracks. The burgandy and blue bands are the 'Terra' pattern. This crock is 5 tall x 4.75 wide. The lid was with this crock; not sure if it is the original lid, but it fits snugly. Most people just use the crocks to hold kitchen gadgets, but I am not seeing these crocks pictures in country mags in country style powder rooms and offices to hold pencils, cotton balls, q-tips, etc. 4/14scs  This is a very large vintage RRP porch jar or planter. It is 12 wide x 11 inches tall. It has a very faint USA mark on bottom and a 180/ mark. RRP is the only company I know that used the 'number and slash' mark. Age est: 1930's-40's. It has crazing and some pinpops, but no chips or cracks. If you want to use outside as a flowerpot, you should drill a hole in center bottom. Very attractive design on it. You have to turn it several ways in the light to see the marks because they are very faint. Three stilt marks on interior bottom which is why I think is is an earlier piece and aqua was hot in the 30's! 4/12nhcs  Two RRP stoneware dog bowls and metal stand. These bowls are almost 6 wide x almost 3 tall. No chips or cracks. RRP black inkstamp on bottoms. Won't tip over. For small or mid size dogs. The stand is an estate sale item, not old. 2/12  Ransbottom spongeware wheat crock. Stoneware; black RRP stamp on bottom. It stands 3.25 tall x 4.5 wide without lid on. Very cute items. This could be used for a candle; pot pourri, butter or cheese. 1/12smc
