A 1930s, Shelley Harmony Drip Ware trefoil Centrepiece in the typically bright green and orange colours of the art deco period and style. With a maximum width of over 8 inches, the item is offered in very good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. MAXIMUM Air Mail shipping of $20.00 dependant on destination. Tracking and insurance against LOSS or NON-DELIVERY is available for a further $8.00.  This is a Shelley China, England antique art pottery vase in the art deco style. This lovely vase has a pattern of hand colored roses on a black base. The stylish deco vase was made 1918-1925. The vase measures 5.5 inches high by 5 in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. A wonderfully decorative and evocative piece.  Shelley China Cream and Sugar Dainty Blue Rock. This pattern was made by Shelley China from 1940 to 1966 and features a delicate pattern of blue and blueish purple flowers. The sugar is 2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches across and the creamer is 2 5/8 inches tall by 3 inches across the widest part. The sugar is in excellent condition, the creamer has a small triangle shaped hairline on the bottom edge, not a crack and very hard to see, not noticeable unless you are looking for it and looking very closely. This pattern was made by Shelley China from 1940 to 1966 and features a delicate pattern of pink roses, purple and yellow pansies and blue forget me nots. This lovely english bone china trio features a cup, saucer and a dessert plate. this pattern features a design of pink and yellow begonia flowers on a white background trimmed in blue. Made by Shelley in the elegant dainty shape, the saucer measures 5 3/4" wide. The cup measures 2 3/8" high and 3 1/2" wide. The dessert plate measures 8 1/16" wide. All three pieces are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or discolorations.  An outstanding, large, conical shaped Volcano Vase in the Harmony Drip Ware range, designed by Eric Slater, son of Walter, during his period as Art Director, c1930. The Vase stands around 16cm in height and is beautifully decorated in vibrant shades of green, brown and blue. An exceptional example of Art Deco pottery, offered in excellent condition. Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines or discolorations.  This lovely fine bone china cup and saucer produced by Shelley of England features a charming woodland scene on a white background and trimmed in blue and gold on the Richmond Shape. The cup measures 2 5/8" high and 3 1/4" wide. The saucer measures 5 1/2" wide. Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition, free of any chips, cracks, hairlines or discolorations.  This delicate english bone china demi tasse size cup and saucer has a pretty pattern of a pink flower with a black center on a white background trimmed in gold. Made by Shelley in the mocha shape, the saucer measures 4 7/8" wide. The cup measures 2 3/8" high and 2 3/8" wide. Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or discolorations.  Standing 6.00 inches tall, a Shelley Vase depicting the Surrey Scenery design. The design is of a delightful, rural setting in the United Kingdom county of Surrey, and completely surrounds the circumference of the vase. I have shown all aspects of this in the images. The Vase is generally in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. Unusually with vases of this type and design, which are susceptible to paint loss, the decoration is pretty much intact with only some minor ware around the edge of the green rim and, more importantly, only a few minor scratches to the design which do little to detract from the display. The hatpin holder measures 4.5 inches high by 3.35 inches in diameter at base with gold trim and features the hand painted enamel on transfer shield of Teignmouth, a port town in Devon, England. The hat pin holder was a victorian and edwardian vanity necessity made to keep the long and often fancy hat pins to hold the large hats that were then in fashion on to heads piled high with hair. This very collectible Crested China hatpin holder is by one of the most collected makers, Shelley China, and is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks and almost no gold wear.  For sale is a cup and saucer made by Shelley in the Melody pattern. Both cup and saucer are marked on the bottom, the under plate has the pattern name. The cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. I believe the set dates to approximately 1960. Cup stands approximately 2 3/8 inches high (from base to top of lip). The under plate has a diameter of approximately 4 5/8 inches. This is a Shelley China, England art pottery bowl made 1912-1925 in a black bowl shape #719 and in pattern #8635 Three Damsons. The bowl measures 2.75 inches high by 6.5 inches in diameter. The decorative bowl features a white leaf stencil print border and a cluster of Damson plums and leaves that have been hand colored. The art pottery bowl is in very good ++ condition with no chips or cracks with only a couple of pinprick paint flecks on the rim or minor scratches on the back. A very fun piece and a departure from the usual Shelley one sees.  This is a Shelley China, England Crested China or Crested Ware Roman Urn made 1910-1916. The little bone china souvenir urn or vase measures 2.5 inches high by 2 inches in diameter and has the hand colored enamel on transfer crest for Maidenhead, a town to the north west of London. On the bottom is the inscription Model Of A Very Rare Roman Urn Found Near Chester Now In The Possession Of J.W. Salt Esq. The little Crested Ware urn is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks but there is wear to the gold trim at the mouth of the urn. Cool!  This is a Shelley China, England bone china open salt or salt dip in a Crested China style made 1912-1925. The reeded side small bowl measures 1 inch high by 3 inches in diameter and has the high relief hand painted on transfer crest of the Fitzwilliams Family In Mablethorpe Church. Mablethorpe is an eastern English seaside resort and the dish was made for W. Dale, Lindum House, Mablethorpe. The small crested ware bowl or open salt is in excellent condition and a wonderful piece for Shelley collectors or collectors of Crested ware china souvenir ware.  This is a wonderful example of the art pottery made by Shelley China, England in the art deco style. This lovely vase is pattern # 8251 Carnations on a black base. The stylish deco vase was made 1918-1925. The art deco vase has a stencil style pink carnation and geometric deco designs on a black background. The vase measures 4 inches high by 3.5 in diameter and is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks and only 3 tiny black paint flecks missing. A wonderfully decorative and evocative piece.

This is a wonderful antique ceramic luster candle holder made by Shelley, England 1911-1916 with an art deco shape. The design is a fabulous unamed pattern with hand colored enamel over transfer of a bird and grapes with a high luster finish reminiscent of Spano Lustra, a famous finish and style developed by Frederick Rhead when he was art director of Wileman Shelley. The candleholder measures 3.25 inches high by 7 inches long and is in excellent, mint condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Very decorative and very collectible.  This is an unusual and fun piece of Shelley China, England crested china or crested ware made 1916-1924. The souvenir crested souvenir bone china piece is in the form of a golf ball, dimples and all, and bears the coat of arms of William Shakespeare and the name Stratford-On-Avon. The gold ball measures 2.25 inches high by 2 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition.  Offered is a creamer and sugar by Shelley. The sugar and creamer are white with gilding going around the handle and also on the rims of both pieces. Both the creamer and sugar are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Creamer stands approximately 2 3/4 inches high at the tallest point. Creamer stands approximately 1 7/8 inches tall. Pieces are both marked on the bottom with Shelley. Shipping with insurance and handling will be $7.50 in the Continental USA.  This is an awesome cross collectible appealing to both collectors of Shelley China and souvenir crested china collectors. This bone china model of Blackpool Tower, Blackpool England was made by Shelley China, England and dates to 1910-1916 during the Late Foley period. The figural souvenir is 6 inches high by 3.5 inches long by 1.75 inches wide. It is in very good ++ condition with no chips or cracks. The only flaw is a bit of wear on the gold trim. The colors of the crest of Blackpool and their motto Progress are crisp. A great piece and very hard to find, especially in very good, one piece condition.

An extremely RARE and collectable bowl from Shelley by the hand of Walter Slater produced during his time at the factory as Art Director. The design is of a Gilded Carp swimming through Pond weeds and set against a marvellous irridescent Lustre Glaze of Blues, Purples and Greens which gives the appearance of water and a very naturalistic feel. These designs by Slater were produced around the 1930s and in competition with the Fairyland Lustre items produced by Wedgwood. Measuring just over 4.00 inches in diameter at the rim, and standing appoximately 1.00 inch tall, this is a marvellous example from a famous designer and offered in EXCELLENT condition with No damage whatsoever. The deco vase is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and the only flaw is 2 black paint misses done during manufacture near or on the base bulge. A wonderfully decorative and evocative piece.  This is a great antique antique figural crested china souvenir piece by Shelley China, England. This is a bone china dog house with a black dog in residence in crested china with the crest for Morecambe, Lancashire England and gold trim. On the top are the words The Black Watch which is a pun on uthe black dog and the name of a famous regiment of Guards. The dog house is 3.75 inches high and 2.75 inches wide. The dog house is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear. A very fun piece. It bears the mark dating it from 1910-1916. Wonderful!  This is a Shelley China, Late Foley, England bone china miniature shoe also called a Lancashire clog in crested china with the crest for Richmond, Surrey England with a stag or deer with antlers at the top and gold trim. This shoe or clog measures 2.25 inches high by 3.75 inches long by 1.5 inches wide. The souvenir shoe or clog is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear. A very fun piece. It bears the mark dating it from 1910-1916. Wonderful!

Shelley Butterfly Covered Deco Butter Dish. Pottery. England. c. 1922. Very unusual & rare covered butter dish. Entirely hand painted. A deep, vibrant red-orange covers the top of the lid & the border of the dish. The lid handle is black as is the ground for the butterflies. They are done in yellow & pale green. The white is where it was left unpainted. CONDITION: Excellent (some touches of paint loss)  Shelley Harmony Covered Muffin Dish . Porcelain. England. c. 1925 - 45. Extremely difficult to find Harmony pattern covered muffin dish (bowl). It’s done in the most vibrant shades of yellow & orange with touches of light brown. One can almost be hypnotized by the swirls of color. And it still has its original paper label. CONDITION: Excellent / Near Mint (pings) . Extremely striking!  Shelley Harmony Covered Cheese Dish . Porcelain. England. c. 1925 - 45 (probably the 1930s). Extremely difficult to find Harmony pattern covered cheese dish. It’s done in shades of blue, from deep to pale blue. One can almost be hypnotized by the swirls of color. CONDITION: Excellent (pings; one speck of missing color) . Fantastic!  PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY ONE OF THE PAIR OF VASES PHOTOGRAPHED NOW REMAINS. Delightful Shelley Violette pattern Art Deco bud vase from c1920. The vase(s) are in a nice hexagonal, tapering form and feature hand painted Violets in purple with green foliage aginst an almost matt, Black background. The vase(s) are finished with a white tied bow around the trim. Very often this type of pottery from Shelley shows considerable wear to the Black finish but where the white China beneath shows through. There is also a tendency for the Black finish to become dulled with age and to adopt a Grey tone. These two are really quite good and, as can be seen from the photos there are literally 2, perhaps 3 at most dust speck size marks on each. The Black background is also in good condition with no serious fading to report. There is actually an area at the neck of each vase where a little too much black paint has been applied and it show as a glaze run. A delightful pair at a very good price for china of this type from one of Staffordshire's finest factories. Dimensions: 6.1/2" tall 2.3/4" widest point.

A wonderful addition to any Shelley or Wileman collection.  Shelley Black Footed Oleander w/Pink Summer Glory cup & saucer. Porcelain. England. c. 1945-1955. Very striking & unique! The shape is Footed Oleander. Cup & saucer are both relief molded in the form of the petals of an oleander flower. The pattern has the very desirable chintz pink ground Summer Glory transfer with flowers in pink, purple, blue & white; green & gray leaves inside cup. Colored matte black on cup exterior and all over saucer (done by groundlaying the color). Liquid burnished gold edges, solid handle & foot. The photos don’t do it justice. Hard to find this combination of shape, transfer pattern and exterior & saucer color. CONDITION: Excellent / Near Mint (pings). A wonderful addition to any Shelley or Wileman collection.  Shelley Eve Swirls trio. Porcelain. England. c. 1933. This wonderful Eve shape trio is done in the Swirls pattern (which was originally created for the Regent shape). The colors are meadow green & gray. The swirls begin with the gray in the well of the saucer & center of the plate spinning out hypnotically toward the deeper green swirls. (The photos do not quite capture the deeper shade of green). This gives way to a very pale shade of green swirls for the border. On the cup, this pattern grows upward from the gray swirled foot, to the deep green just beyond, to the pale green at the top. The pale green spills right over into the cup interior - swirling all the way to the bottom. The open triangular handle unique to this shape is the same very pale green. CONDITION: Excellent (pings) (some tiny scratches). Wonderful trio. Hard to find.

Wileman Snowdrop Petunia trio. Porcelain. England. c. 1900. Deep aqua blue at the border shades quickly to a white ground. Some of the border color seems to have been blown on and you can see speckles of the color slightly below the deeper color near the edge. Art nouveau style petunias are hand enameled in a deeper aqua. They have brown stems & green leaves hand painted over transfer. They seem to grow from the foot of the cup & the center of saucer & plate. There’s a spray of petunias hand enameled in medium green over transfer on the cup interior. Liquid gold edges & lining on handle. The cup is deeply fluted. The saucer & plate are deeply scalloped. Plate measures approximately 7.25". Could not quite capture the shade of aqua in the photos. CONDITION: Good / Very Good (wear to gilt from use - not unusual for something of this age; some light, hard to notice scratches on plate; rubbing to aqua on raised portions of plate (from use); small chip to under side of plate near rim not visible on display). White ground with lavender & purple Campanula floral transfer (one on cup interior). Violet (looks more lavender) edges & handle. Plate is 8". A very attractive pattern. CONDITION: Excellent/Mint (pings). Every Shelley collection should have one!  Wileman Empire Chrysanthemum trio. Porcelain. England. c. 1896. Graceful Empire shape trio. Chrysanthemum flowers in lovely shades of pale yellow & golden yellow hand painted over a brown transfer. Background transfer of brown & green leaves. This design is repeated on one side on the cup interior. Flared & fluted; deeply scalloped edges. Gilt edges & lining on handle hand painted. CONDITION: Excellent (crazed; some rubbing to gilt in spots). Does not detract. Displays beautifully. Just lovely.  Shelley Yellow Summer Glory Footed Oleander cup & saucer. Porcelain. England. c. 1940s - 1966. Absolutely fabulous! The shape is Footed Oleander. Cup & saucer are both relief molded in the form of the petals of an oleander flower. The pattern has the lovely ivory (looks yellow) ground Summer Glory chintz transfer: flowers in pink, purple, blue & white; green leaves & gray leaves inside cup. Colored a very pale salmon (pale peach) on cup exterior and all over saucer. Liquid burnished gold edges, solid handle & foot. Fairly unusual; have never seen this color on the exterior of the cup & saucer before! CONDITION: Excellent / Near Mint (pings). A must for any Shelley or chintz collector! A wonderful color combination.

This is a very early example from the year in which the shape debuted. Delicately colored in pale pink at the edge shading to a lovely yellow at cup bottom, saucer and plate center. Cup handle solid burnished gold. Cup interior & saucer well are white. Plate measures approximately 7". CONDITION: Excellent (pings) (some light scratches on plate & saucer center from use; some rubbing to yellow on plate). Displays marvelously!  Shelley Art Nouveau floral trio. Porcelain. England. c. 1928. Absolutely lovely trio in the Vincent shape with a Queen Anne type squared dessert plate. Art nouveau stylized flowers on a swirling stem growing from the green grass. Flowers in yellow, coral & pale blue. Geometric flowers in pale blue, coral & yellow alternating with black stems & leaves at the border. Raised hand enameled in green, coral, yellow & pale blue. Background transfer in black consisting of tiny dots at the border, leaves & stems. Turkish blue edges & thick lining on handle.
