The Most Recent Additions to This Category are First!
This mixing bowl is in Marcrest's Brown Daisy or Daisy Dot pattern. The pattern is a homey rustic design with alternating scallops, lines, and five-petal daisies, made by Western Stoneware in the 1950s for Marshall Burns as a premium line. The bowl is 8-3/8" diameter by just over 4 inches deep. Other than the typical glaze pops and skips common to Marcrest pottery, it's in excellent condition with a few stir marks to the glaze in the bottom but no damage.

This is a large vintage/antique stoneware mixing bowl. It has nice decoration and pink and blue stripes. It is in good condition, but it does have crazing. It is marked USA on the bottom. The bowl is approx. 5.75" tall and 9.75" across.  Adorable small stoneware bowl, that I'm guessing was once part of a set. I've haven't seen one this small before! It sits approx. 2.75" high and is 5" across. It is marked USA 5IN. on the bottom. It is in very good condition and is a blue/turquoise color.  This stoneware bowl is stamped inside Graetlinger Iowa Centennial 1893-1993. Measures 9.5 in. diameter and is 3 in. tall. In very good condition. Appears to not have been used. Bottom marked FP Dart Roseville USA. A useful item to use and display.  Has a fault, but still very stylish. Slip glazed in red and black over white - dish is in an ovoid shape. Typical 1950s Post Modern design by the iconic Rye Pottery. It has a shallow chip to the lip of the pointed end of the dish (more glaze missing than much pottery, would be an easy restore). Very slightly faded to color inside dish, but a pretty example with very retro style. Measures 30 mm high, by 147 mm long and 80 mm wide (1.1/4 inches by 5.3/4 inches by 3.1/8 inches).

This large, deep welled platter has a gray-tone briar rose transferware pattern over white ironstone, porcelain or pottery. The company started operation in c.1864 as George Jones and in 1873 became George Jones & Sons Ltd.(renamed "Crescent Potteries" in c.1907) The company Operated the Trent Potteries in Stoke-upon-Trent, Staffordshire England. The diamond registration mark shown is from 1883. The company wes a Manufacturer of decorative earthenware and majolica-style wares c.1861-1951. From 1872 porcelain was also produced. After extensive research I was not able to find a square platter in any pattern. I did find an oval platter in this pattern with pink roses. I can only conclude that this is an unusual and perhaps rare platter. The condition of the piece for it's age is remarkable. There are a few utensil marks on the face of the platter but no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. Overall it is quite shiny and the transferware pattern is excellent. It has an exceptionally deep bottom or deep well, to hold lots of juice. Imagine a large Thanksgiving turkey or Christmas Goose, better yet prime rib in this huge meat platter. This regal piece weighs almost 4 pounds.

The crock is about 100 years old, but has almost no damage of any kind. The worst I can find is a flea bite on the bottom edge. The flow blue coloring is bright and the white porcelain still has a brilliant shine. Another Salt Box or Crock designed to hang on the wall or to sit on the kitchen counter, it is clear that whoever owned this old piece took extra good care of it and that is lucky for us, because I think this is a real treasure. Measures roughly 6 x 6 inches.

Lovely Blue Onion Salt Box. Flow Blue on $179.00

Rare antique glazed stoneware salt box with a delicate blue over white, Daisy and Trellis pattern with the word Salt in raised blue letters and still complete with its original lid.

These old time salt boxes, or crocks as some call them, were hung on a wall or placed on the counter near the stove. There are a few small chips out of the bottom edge of the crock and a larger one on the lid, but considering the age of this salt box and how easy it is to drop and break one of these heavy but delicate lids, I think you'll go a long way before finding another as nice as this. The crock measures six inches in diameter and is just under six inches tall. No cracks and no heavy wear.
