Beautiful Dove Tail Old Wooden Box. The inside is very padded with material and padding. Don't know what was originally stored in the box. The box is 9 inches by 9 inches and 10 inches tall  Here is an absolutely amazing set of four heavy iron bell chimes with four different and truly incredible ring tones. The largest of the old bells stands a full 18 inches tall. The next chime is 14 inches, followed by the third in line at 11 inches from top to bottom and finally the smallest of the group, which is 8 inches tall. You can easily see how old this set is by looking at the section of tree branch that had to be cut off in order to free the next to the smallest of the bells. The chain likely spent at least 20 years being swallowed up by the tree’s grow and who knows how long it hung there before the chain became an obstacle to the branches desire to grow? These four bells all bear a raised marking that looks to be two C’s side by side. I have not found any information from the marks, but they are certainly interesting. All four bells once had thin triangular shaped tin wind wands suspended below their internal gongs, but only two of the original wands remain. If I find a close match to the tin used to make them, I will cut out two more to complete the set. I was reading that on many old time farms and ranches, bells and gongs were often used to signal hired help that was working great distances away from the main house. These four distinctive sounding bell chimes would have worked perfectly for that use. So long as the hired hands knew the different sounds and what a certain sequence of sounds meant, they would be able to hear the sound of these heavy iron bells from miles away. Use them for bells, or for yard ornaments, or anything else you might have in mind. The sounds are sweet and powerful and whatever you choose to do with this rare old chime set, you can feel certain no one else you know will have anything to compare with these beauties. Wow! Really nice.

This neat old Yellowstone National Park souvenir is a wood dresser, trinket, card, or jewelry box with a hand carved scene of grizzly bears on the lid. Below the four bears is a log shaped banner with the word Yellowstone carved in primitive lettering. The box measures 5-1/2 by 4 inches by about 2 inches high. It has box corner joints and a beveled fitting under the lid to keep it from sliding.

I'm not sure of the type of wood, possibly pine but definitely not cedar. The carved bears have some separation lines or age cracks but they don't go all the way through and are in no danger of splitting or breaking off. There are a few very minor scuff marks, nothing serious, otherwise the box is in very good vintage condition.

Here is a beautiful, 1 gallon, brown glazed jug in Excellent condition. This little gem is free of any chips or cracks and it still sports a nice bright glaze with no crazing. Note the beautiful swirl pattern in the glaze on the bottom of the jug and the nice, wide applied handle. The jug has a bottom diameter of 7 1/2" and a height of 8 1/4" - the handle has a width of 1 3/8". This would make a great addition to any collection of early stoneware.

Carved Wooden Yellowstone Bears Dresser $55.00

This is a very interesting copper /iron tray in Excellent condition. This wonderful specimen is very detailed with its fern leaf design - in fact, it appears that a mold was made of an actual fern leaf as the design even carries itself to the three footed back. There seems to be a base metal of copper or brass that shows here and there through the black finish coat. This is a very unique and collectible dish or tray that would make a beautiful accent piece in any room.  This is an old brass door plate which most likely originated in an old hotel. The plate reads, PLEASE BOLT DOOR UPON RETIRING.

This measures about 1-5/8 x 3 inches. There is no maker mark. There is no information as to what hotel this may have come from, but it was found in the area between Rockford, Illinois and the Elkhorn, Wisconsin area.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  This is a wonderful treenware round turned wood box from the late 1800s to very early 1900s. It's 2-1/2" diameter by 1-3/4" high. The hand painted decoration features creamy white and black wide stripes with tiny rosebuds and leaves - the lid has the black and white design in a geometric pie slice design rather than stripes. The inside of the box is stained green. One narrow crack along the side of the box and some minor, age appropriate wear to the edges of the lid.

Offering this solid, primitive hand carved oak scoop. It is one piece construction 15.5" long overall, the scoop section is 10" x 5" at the largest points. A nice flarred mouth will lend itself well to scooping coffee, grain, corn, or similar bulk products. The handle area is big enough for about any hand to wrap around firmly. The carving is well done, good lines and form. It has a nice patina, darkened with age, smooth, and clean with the exception of what appears to be some maroon color candle wax inside in a few places. There is no cracks or damage, well preserved. A unique primitive scoop overall!

Tray - Metal $50.00

Brass Door Plate $42.00

Antique Treen Ware Trinket Box Hand Pain $55.00

Great Pie Bird with good detail and coloring. Nice shiny glaze, very usable. Marked and stamped 1996. Handcrafted. This is a nice one!  Great old collectible Sad Iron Marked 6 with a raised Star. Handle has a swirl design for a good grip. May be used as a neat old doorstop or decorative flower press. Stare give it a Great look.  Primitive Candle holder with nice handle, country blue accents. Mint condition, brand new and signed.  This is a very nice, circa 1875, wire basket in Excellent condition. Baskets of this type were very popular during the period following the Civil War. This specimen still retains a good percentage of its bright tin finish and displays quite nicely. The basket has an overall height of 5" with a diameter of 4". This would make a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage baskets.

Pie Bird Pottery Primitive $59.99

Antique Sad Iron No 6 Star Old Heavy $29.99

Candle Holder Primitive Hand Thrown Pott $24.99

Wire Ware BAsket $50.00

Used wooden youth or child’s sized shoe mold, size 13EE/ marked in two places, and there are a few tack holes on the bottom, so it has been lightly used by a cobbler. The numbers 2500 are also cut into the outer side – has no maker marks. Measures 8-inches length, by 3-inches width, and has a nice weight. Nice Decorative!

Primitive, wall mount style hanging clothes dryer; with a red paper label still attached which reads: Popular Clothes Drier – Gem Mfg. Co. – North Girard, PA The hardwood slats of the rack fold down when not in use for space saving. Have the eight original wooden slats or arms that measure 24- inches each. They fold down flat to wall when not needed for drying and when needed - pull up and lock into place; the arms then will separate and spread apart for lots of drying areas. There is a folding metal bracket that rests within a wood slotted area and it contains the arms. Seems to be all original, and in useable condition. Condition: a vintage item, but either seldom used or not at all, as the paper label is still there, and the original price is on back, and looking at the screw holes, it seems not to have ever been hung. Slats have gotten a little dirty over the years and would need wiped/ cleaned for use. I try to leave all items in original as found condition.

This is a wonderful example of a Southwestern, Native American coiled work basket - Apache - In Excellent condidition. The basket has gently tapered sides and has a bottom diameter of 5" increasing to a top diameter of 6 1/2". The height of the basket is 2 1/2" with an overall height of 6" to the top of the handle. The basket presents beautifully with it's muted earth tone colors and has a littl soiling to the inside of the basket. There are two spots to the top rim of the basket that are missing the overwrap on the bundle each of these two spots are about 1/2" in length. These spots may have been part of the original weaving.  This is a nice paddle or spoon shaped butter mold, made of hardwood, with a 2.25" diameter butter mold design carved into the wide end. Overall it is 9" long in very good condition overall with a hole in the handle to hang it if you wish. A nice primitive kitchen tool!

This is a beautiful example of a galvanized and painted covered fire bucket in Very Good + condition. This wonderful specimen is in the shape of a "Dutch" bucket and is free of any rust. The muted red paint has been embellished with two hand painted gold bands with black pinstripe placed around both the bottom and the top of the bucket. The turned, black painted handle is polished from years of use and the distressed red paint gives this bucket character galore that would present very well in any room. The bucket has a height of 12" to the top of the handle on the lid and has a bottom diameter of 8 3/4" with a top diameter of 12". Buckets like these are scarce and very collectible.  Primitive singletree yoke; in a smaller size than most I’ve seen measuring 27-1/2 inches length and the wood bar is very stout with metal hooks at each end the center has two heavy metal straps. Wood has nice grain and patina, metal straps shows age, and are slightly rusted, less on the ends, most on center straps. Would also make a lovely decorating or garden accessory, could hang plants on each side, or could put a name sign in the center. There is a 26-inch span between the bottom two hooks, the metal straps are 6-3/4 inches length by 1-1/4 inches width, and they swivel side to side.

Unique primative item which was used to seperate curds & whey in cheese making. Circa 1890. Nice wooden handle attached to 4 flat metal flexible bands.

Measures 21.5 inches long . The metal prongs measure 16 inches.  This washboard is all metal and fully utilitarian in its design. The tin strucutre measures 26 x 12.5 inches. Condition is very good. A really unusual model to include in oyur collection!

Primative Tin WashBoard

Another unique washboard for collectors. This washboard has open steel ribs in a wooden frame. The manuactures name is not visible. Measures 24 x 12 inches. Condition is very good.  Soap Saver Blue Porcelain Enamel WashBoard made by National Washboard Co Chicago Saginaw Memphis. Aliminum top panel with enamel ribs. Measures 24.5 x 12.5 inches. Good condition with some rust spots on the back panel as shown in photos. The message on the back says "The washihng surface is made from a sheet of steeel onto which has been fused a coating of porcelain enamel (a composition of fine glass) It is durable, sanitary, flexible and will not rust or corrode. It is not affected by alkali or strong washing compound"

This is a great addition to any washboard collection!  Unique all wood wash board. The ribs of the washboard are wooden rollers. Measures 25 x 12 inches. Solid well made wash board in very good condition. Missing some finish on 3 rollers and a patch on the back top panel. One leg has a gash in the wood.   Good looking old windmill wind spinner with a hand carved blade that really does catch the wind very well. I have the whirly gig mounted on a simple stand made from old tubing and a brass lamp plate, but you can use it in any situation you choose. Inside or out, this old windmill was made well and has a lot more years ahead of it. Windmill measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 wide at the base. The blades are almost 12 inches end to end and the bottom length of the support board is 13 1/2 inches.

Prisoner Of Love Antique Shackle Leg Iro

This carved wooden folk art pull toy is a jointed man in a tall hat riding a boar. It's about 8-3/4" tall to the top of the pink leather tall hat by just under 4" wide. Everything is hand carved wood except the hat, hair, metal wheels, and jute pull string. The man's face, full of character, has been hand painted, the stripes on his pants hand drawn.

The only issues are a small age crack to the top of one of the boar's legs and the pink leather hat is loose on one side of the head - it looks like someone re-glued it once already but it didn't stay in place. The hat is soiled with a small stain on one side near the fringed brim.

Old shoe last, size 11-1/2 C – looks to have "Combine" lettered near heel section – has lots of cobblers holes from years of use. Size: 12-1/2 inches length, 3-1/2 inches width, has a thin metal plate on heel and tip of toe area. Looks to have been adjustable, but new seems stationary, has a metal rod through its center.   This fabulous late 1800's punched tin door panel insert once adorned an old wooden pie safe. The punched tin insert is all that remains of that vintage safe, but fortunately the tin panel, with its hand punched star and other designs is still especially nice. A hard to find primitive piece of American Folk Art that could have a thousand uses. The only limit for this 14 by 10 inch antique punched tin insert is the imagination of its new owner.  4 Small Vintage Cats - Bisque/Terra Cotta/Porcelain

Interesting Early Japan Monkey Small Bisque Pipe

No idea what it was used for. It measures approx 3" long. Incised Japan on one side.

Has a monkey face bowl. Made of old bisque, circa 1940s  This is a wooden box (only) to a circa 1903 quack medical device - the "J.B.L. Cascade" produced by Tyrrell's Hygienic Institute of New York. It once contained "the only appliance specially made for 'flushing the colon' - basically, an early enema bag.

The instructions for use as well as the outrageous advertising claims are printed on the inside bottom of the box. An illustration of the cascade device is there too. The hinged pine box has dovetailed corners, a brass hook clasp, and the company's logo, name, product, and patent dates in pyrography on the lid. The box has some minor finish wear but is in overall good condition for being more than 100 years old. Measurements: 10 by 5-3/4 by 3-1/2 inches.

7-7/8 inch stove handle, with a twisted wire handgrip area. As is - needs cleaning.  9-1/4 inch cast iron stove handle, marked 122 on underside.

Hand made horn spoon, semi-polished can be used for soups or coffee. Purchased originally for re-enacting - rendezvous in the 1970. This is the same size of the set of 3 that I have for sale Item 1154 but a different color.  This great set of 3 horn spoons have been handmade and are highly polished. These spoons were purchased in 1970s and used for re-enacting because of the correct period of materials and design. If you re-enact or rendezvous this is what you need or if you collect hand made horn items.  This Authentic Cherokee Indian Pony Bead Belt was hand made on soft tanned leather. The belt is 60 inches long, the bead work is 30 inches of white, orange, brown, black plastic pony beads. The width of the belt is 1 1/2 inches. It was purchased it 1975 in North Carolina, never worn and in excellent condition.  I think this is an amazing find. How many of us had our own toy toolboxes and tool kits to play with as children? Well here is a super old; super nice condition dove tailed wooden child's toolbox made by Boycraft USA with the original label still pasted to the inner lid and in at least 85% original color and condition. This hand assembled, dove tail jointed soft wood; pine or perhaps chestnut, wooden toolbox is in remarkably good condition. The box measures 18 by 5 by 8 inches deep and has the original hardware front latches and hinges. Some nails have been replaced, but not many, so all that remains is for you to think of a really great way to use and display this gorgeous Boycraft antique box. wooden and metal the end are a natural wood 12 inches long  Here we have a great old handmade wooden Whirligig. This classic piece of Americana is driven by the wind, so as the paddles spin, the lady in the long dress sets to work churning butter. I am fairly sure the paddles have been replaced, and spray painted yellow; which also left a trace of over-spray on the green mast, but the woman and her churn and the original design of this neat old whirligig remain in tact and are ready to bring a smile to someone's face once more.

18 inches long and roughly 14 inches tall.  This fabulous antique split oak basket was weaved together by hand and fastened with old iron nails perhaps as far back as the 1870's. The basket is not perfectly round, nor does it sit exactly strait, fact is that many places on it have damage or even loss of the oak splits, but talk about charm and class and shear primitive beauty, this great old split oak woven basket has plenty to spare. Roughly 18 wide by 14 tall, this is one you will not see come up for sale very often, if ever again.  This is a large (21 inches high by 15 inches diameter) covered feather basket handmade from oak splints from a Washington County, Virginia, family estate - probably made in the surrounding area. Southwest Virginia, as with most of Appalachia is well known for the quality of their baskets. The basket is tightly woven, has two handles, and is very sturdy. The top is a separate woven piece, also beautifully done, attached with twine (recent). It has seen lots of use, but has no breaks or repairs. Baskets like this were used to collect feathers for use in pillows and mattress ticks. This basket was painted white maybe 20 to 30 years ago (in my opinion), the paint shows some wear and oxidation, but is not as old as the basket. You just do not find good older baskets of this size, quality, and in this condition very often.

This is a single brown glass door knob. It has a great design.   A wonderful old white washed woven wood picnic basket with a great primitive look from a Montana estate, 13-1/2" by 12" by 8" high not including the two bentwood swing handles. The lid is secured by two metal hinges at the back and a metal hook and eye closure at the front. I'm not sure if the whitewash paint is original but it looks it - it's definitely old, not applied recently. The bottom of the basket has one broken slat, not all the way across so it still holds - see the closeup photo.
