A delightful coffee or chocolate pot with stick handle in ebonized wood.  The set is all silverplate over copper.  Made by Academy Silver Co.  Very mid century modern styling.  In excellent condition. No dings or pits.  A strikingly different 3 piece set.  Silver plate wire, braided as if wicker, was used to make these lovely and useful baskets. Sturdy, will not bend.  Excellent bread baskets or utility baskets for utensils or other items.  Price is for the set of 2.  3x7x11

In excellent condition.  Elegant and very simple silver plate napkin rings, each 1.75" in diameter.  In excellent condition.  A gleaming silverplate covered butter dish with glass insert.  This butter dish is likely from the mid to late 20th century.  No maker name apparent. It is 9" long and 4.5" tall including the finial.  The glass insert has no chips or cracks.  The overall condition is excellent.

This gravy or sauce boat with stand and warmer will lend a note of heightened elegance to your next dinner party. Beautiful silverplate stand with warmer holds the elegant gravy boat. Proud height is 8". (Candle warmer not shown but is included.)Made by F B Rogers and is pattern ##6731  An insulated silverplate water pitcher dated 1891.  The pitcher or covered jug was made by Meriden and is Quadruple Plate silver. It is white enamel inside and has an ice lip. Beautifully decorated in the fashion of the daty, it has flowers and leaves in bands around the top and bottom.  A rather industrial finial crowns the lid. Interesting are the small figures almost hidden under the lip.  There are animals and birds and hunters and fishers.   An added cartouche adorns the center front. It has the monogram L ? and the date October 28, 1891  A clever expanding trivet to protect the table from the heat of a dish. This one, in silver plate is 8" square but expands to 10.5" to accommodate larger dishes. Elaborate floral and leaf pattern. Works well and is not worn.  Elegant English silver plated Salt and Pepper set, Showing pierced look on silver with cobalt blue glass liners showing the pattern, as per images, In excellent condition, Measuring approximately 2 inches high.

Antique Salt and Pepper Shakers $49.99

This item is a wonderful Antique Silver Plate Wedding Basket with a hinged handle.  This Wedding Basket appears to be in the Moselle Pattern and was possibly made by American Silver Company around 1906.  There is a hallmark on the bottom of the Basket, but I can't identify it.  This Basket has a scalloped type edge with grape and leaf designs around the entire outer rim.  Below the rim are four (4) intricate cut designs which surround an etched center design.  This large Wedding Basket is about 10 and 1/4 inches across.  It is about 3 and 1/4 inches to the top ofd the basket itself and 9 inches to the top of the hinged handle.  This Wedding Basket is in excellent condition.  This item is a lovely and elegant Silver Plated Pedestal Bowl.  The bottom of the Bowl bears the hallmark of a lion, bell and fleur de lis over an arm with a hammer.  This mark is that of the Barber Silver Company which was taken over by the International Silver Company in 1898.  The hallmark dates this Bowl as to having been made between 1891 and 1921.  This Bowl has a wonderful grape and leaf design around the entire edge,  Below the edge and going all around the Bowl are cut geometric designs.  This Bowl is about 10 and 3/4 inches across and 5 inches high.  It is in excellent condition.    This item is a vintage Victorian Silver Plated Covered Bacon Keeper.  It is complete with both the warming tray and the serving tray.  This Bacon Keeper has a beaded edge and paw feet.  There is an ornate floral drape connecting medalions on 4 sides with the beaded center on the 4 paw feet.  It has a band of hearts running around the lower part of the lid which is also overlayed with floral and leaf designs.  It has a monogram which is possibly IRC with a beaded leaf drape and 4 floral designs inside the drape offsetting the monogram.  This Bacon keeper is about 8 and 1/2 inches high and 13 inches from handle to handle.  The bottom is marked Walker and Hall, Sheffield with number 51885.   Here is a pair of Gorham silver plate hurricane candle holders or hurricane lamp bases. In a simple style from the mid 20th century. 5" tall and 3.75" wide at the base. Designed to hold not only a candle but a glass chimney which shelters the candle flame from drafts and breezes. In excellent condition.

Silver plated footed dish made by Hudson Manor Company in Italy. These were made just for Avon. It is in excellent condition. Stands 2" tall.   charming silverplate baby mug or cup, 2.5" tall. In very good condition. No monogram. This is the Queen Bess pattern discontinued in 1946. Made by Oneida Tudor plate.  Elaborately decorated SILVER PLATED TEAPOT made by the Meriden Britannia Silver Company.


It design features an ART NOUVEAU STYLING.  The handle is stretched and it has a  womans head and the four outstretched legs have a north wind bearded mans face.  There are also molded leaves and berries, birds and fountains that accent the the teapot body and the legs.


The MERIDEN B. COMPANY mark is impressed on the bottom along with the patent date and number 1521.


The letter R is monogrammed on the front.


It is ESTATE / USED. It has character and patina.  I will leave it up to the buyer if they wish to clean it.


A bit of information about the manufacture: The Meriden Britannia Company was formed in 1852 in Meriden , Connecticut . The Rogers Bros firm was purchased by Meriden Britannia in 1862, then acquiring the 1847 Rogers Bros line. In 1878, they had a store at Union Square in New York City and a manufacturing facility in West Meriden, CT. According to their 1878 catalog, the company won a first place medal at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania for the large variety of silver plated white metal hollow ware of excellent quality and finish, and of tasteful designs. They were one of the original companies that joined together to form the International Silver Co. in 1898.

 This item is a Silver Platedf Napkin Ring which is about 1 and 1/2 inches across and 1 inch high.  It has a lovely floral wreath engraving with thew initials MMG inside a floral wreath.  There are no marks as to the manufacturer and it is in Good condition.

This item is a Silover Plated Napkin Ring.  It is about 1 and 3/4 inches across and 1 and 1/4 inches high.  This Napkin Ring has an engraved floral design around it and an applied disc which depicts the head and helmet of an ancient Greek warrior.   On the side opposite the Greek Soldier is the engraved initials of DFA.  There are no marks as to the manufacturer.  This Napkin Ring is in Good condition.  This item is a silver plated Napkin Ring.  It is about 1 and 3/4 inches across and 1 and 1/2 inches high.  It has a lovely floral etching all around and has the name Lysander engraved on one side. This item is a set of 6 silverplate nut dishes done in a leaf design.  Each dish is marked "Englamd" on the bottom with a pineapple.  Each dish is about 3 1/2 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide.  All 6 dishes are in excelllent condition.  This silver plated Baby Fork and Spoon Set in the Victorian Rose Pattern from 1954 is marked: Wm. Rogers & Son/ / IS (International Silver Company). 

The International Silver Company, an amalgamation of fourteen independent silverware manufacturers, was formed in 1898. Immediately upon organization, the company bought the total capital stock of the following companies: Barbour Silver Company (Hartford), Holmes & Edwards Silver Company (Bridgeport), Manhattan Silver Plate, (Lyons, New York), Meriden Britannia Company (Meriden), Norwich Cutlery (Norwich), William Rogers Manufacturing Company (Hartford), Rogers Cutlery (Hartford), Rogers and Brothers (Waterbury), Rogers and Hamilton (Waterbury), Wilcox Silver Plate (Meriden), Watrous Manufacturing Company (Wallingford), Standard Silver Company, Ltd. (Toronto, Canada). 

During the first six months of 1899, an additional four were purchased. Derby Silver Company (Derby), Simpson, Hall, Miller & Company (Wallingford), Simpson Nickel Company (Wallingford), Middletown Plate Company (Middletown). 

In 1968, International Silver became part of Insilco, A group of private investors purchased World Tableware in 1983 and organized the American Silver Company. 

Its operations centered at Meriden, Connecticut, would prove to be the major producer of silver products in the United States. 

New in it's original packaging, I had opened the fork to get better pictures of the pattern, the fork measures 4 1/4 inches long and 7/8 inch wide while the spoon measures 4 1/4 inches long with a bowl that is 1 1/4 inches wide. 

A wonderful addition to any  Wm.Rogers & Son Baby Spoon and Fork Collection.

 A unique silverplated tea set dating from ca 1869. It is in the then popular Egyptian Revival motif. The set consists of 5 pieces, Large tea or coffee pot, smaller tea pot, creamer, sugar bowl with lid and a waste vessel. Each piece is on small feet in the shape of a pharoahs head, there are incised lotus blossoms and the finials on the handles are sphinx heads. In very good condition, with no excess wear of the silver, but there are 2 small dings, one on each of the teapots. A exciting period set made by Simpson Hall Miller & Co of Connecticut.  An Egyptian Revival era silverplate cache pot 4.5" with an etched heart on each side and what looks like cattails. The 4 feet represent the head of a pharoah. Made by the Taunton Silverplate Co. Triple plate. In excellent condition. Marked 926

A pretty silverplate napkin ring with an art nouveau style featuring flowers and 3 leaf clovers.  Very different.  In excellent condition.  A nice pair of matched silverplate napkin rings with acanthus leaves etched names on each. One is Frederick and the other may be Memich? Elaborate script. In excellent condition. No marks.  A sweetmeat or candy tray inset into a silverplate holder. The silverplate holder has a basket style handle and elaborate decoration in the Victorian style. The EAPG dish is pegged to fit into the holder and is 9" across. A zipper patter clear glass dish or tray. In very good condition.  A fantastic antique bride's basket in silver plate, very elaborately decorated with repousee  flowers.  The insert is crystal that is etched and is original to the piece.  14" tall and 9" wide.  There is an old soft chip on the rim of the insert. See photos.

Vintage Gorham Electro Plate Silver Candle Holders. These candle holders have a scroll type pattern, estimated age on them is 1970's, they are 4 5/8 inches tall, the bases are 4 1/4 inches across the base. Both are marked with Gorham E(shield logo)P, YC3004 and both are in excellent condition. Lovely addition to your collection or decor, please see our other listings for additional silver pieces.  1970's Silverplate or hollowware Oneida footed compote.  Very nice piece with some tarnish, monor scratches not unusual for a piece of this age.  Has a floral and scroll rim.   This is a sugar bowl in the shape of a coal scuttle that is called a sugar scuttle. The sugar scuttle was made in  England in the 1910-1920s of PNS or silver plate over nickel silver with an engraved floral decoration. The sugar scuttle measures 3.25 inches high, 4.25 inches long, 3 inches wide. The sugar scuttle has no dents but much of the plating is gone...proof of a life of loving polishing. A wonderful addition to any tea table.  This is a National Silver Company, USA colonial style sugar bowl made 1930-1940s that is silver plate on copper. The sugar bowl meausres 3.75 inches high by 4.75 across at handles by 3.5 in diameter at base and is in very good +++ condition with no plate loss, dents or holes. Sugar bowls like this are having new life as elegant pencil holders on desks or kitchen counter. Cool!

Condition:excellent for age, Very Heavy,

Each measures approximately 3 1/4 inches high.  This item is a lovely Cruet Set.  The Tray, which holds the two Cruets, is Silverplate with a tall and ornate center handle.  It is shaped like a banana, curved and tapered at both ends.  This set has two (2) cut glass Cruets with cut glass stoppers.  The Cruets have cut star and diamond designs on them.  The stoppers have a star design cut into them. The Tray is about 7 and 1/2 inches long, 3 nd 1/2 inches across and 9 and 1/2 inches high to the top of the handle.  The bottom of this Silverplate Tray is marked Baker Ellis Made in England and has a crown over an F.  The Cut Glass Cruets are about 4 and 1/2 inches high and 1 and 3/4 inches across.  Please note that one of the stoppers does not nest all the way inside the Cruet opening.  This is attributed to a variation caused in in the glass making process.  This Cruet Set is in excellent condition.

This is a vintage 3 piece set of a Fire King Ovenware #11 baking dish by Anchor Hocking, USA with it's original silver plated casserole or holder with fancy lid made by Leonard silver plate, USA in the 1960s. The clear 1 1/2 qt round Fire King baking dish with handles measures 3 inches high and is 8.25 inches in diameter or 9.5 inches wide including handles. The silver plate covered casserole dish, caddy or holder stands has a gadrooned rim and measures 7.5 inches high including finial and is 10.5 inches in diameter including handles which are a fancy floral design. All 3 pieces are in excellent condition with almost no wear. Could use a bit of polish though! Would cause a stir at your next pot luck or covered dish supper!  Vintage, footed Silverplate Condiment Carousel set with three compartment Crystal Condiment bowls and three plastic serving spoons.  Marked Sheridan Server manufactured by the Sheridan Silversmiths Co.  Ornate handle, stem and edging around the condiment compartments.  There is a  step foot silverplate pedistal.  Excellent condition with no major scratches, wear or dents.  It could use a good polishing.  Will match nicely with the other Oneida Silversmiths pieces I have listed.    This item is a lovely Silver Plate Napkin Ring.  It has a crimped edge on top and bottom and an engraved or etched floral leaf design.  It is engraved with the name Russell.  This Napkin Ring is about 1 anjd 1/8 inches high and 1 and 5/8 inches across.  It is ion Excellent condition with only some slight wear on the inside, but none on the outside.  I could not find any makers marks on this Napkin Ring.  This item is a lovely Silver Plate Napkin Ring which was made in England.  It has a sharp cut edge design around the top and the bottom.  The entire middle section of this Napkin Ring is clear and unmarked.  This Napkin Ring is about 1 and 1/4 inches high and 1 and 5/8 inches across.  Inside the Napkin Ring is the stamped image of a rampant lion inside a shield and the word England.

I could not find any maker's marks on this Napkin Ring.  This item is a lovely Silver Plate Napkin Ring.  It has a wonderful floral and leaf design on it and a clear space for you to put your own monogram.  This Napkin Ring is about 1 and 1/2 inches across and 1 and 1/8 inches high.  It is in excellent condition but is slightly out of round from age and normal usage.  I could not find any maker's marks on this Napkin Ring.  This vintage set of (6) cordials is listed as being plated but they very well might be sterling silver as they are unmarked. The lady I purchased them from stated that her grandmother had given them to her many years ago. Each cordial has a medallion with the Aztec or Mayan sun dial on the side as decoration. It's a beautiful set to add to a liquor cabinet or home bar.

Wm.A Rogers, Oneida Silverplate Hollowware or Hollow Ware, Round Relish Tray with Glass Divided Liner.  Elegant Round Silver Serving Tray with a floral rim and etched bottom.  This is the Park Lane Pattern.  The liner is divided into 4 sections. The rim of the glass dish is saw tooth with a sunburst pattern in the center.  Excellent condition. Needs a good shining and ready for your elegant dining table.   Vintage Oneida Silver Plate Floral Pattern Ice or Champagne Wine Bucket. Lovely old piece! Has a beautiful floral pattern on three sides, it is 9 1/2 inches tall by 9 inches across and is marked with Oneida USA on the bottom. It does have an engraving on the side, John and Karen Georgie, From your friends and associates, Northwest Group, March 6, 1993.  The engraving is really light and not very noticeable, I think it could be professionally buffed out if desired. Estimated age on this piece is 1940's to 1950's, even though the engraved date is different think this was a vintage piece that was engraved.  It is in good condition, no dings, does have some light use marks around the inner edge from the bottle neck when it was used and some random light age related marks on the outer body.  It does show use on the inside, I have not attempted to thoroughly clean it so it may clean up.  Overall a very nice old piece, perfect addition to your collection or silver serving pieces!  Antique Forbes Silver Plate Company Reticulated Mint Pastry Tray or Plate. A real beauty from the early 1900's!! This piece has an intricate reticulated lattice pattern, it is 10 inches and 1 inch tall with a low footed base. It is in wonderful condition, does have one slight ding in the center that is barely noticeable and some very light use marks. It is marked on the bottom with Forbes S.P.Co., 147. A fabulous addition to your collection or decor, beautiful to use for special occasions or elegant dining!   This item is a lovely and elegant Silverplate Wine Caddy or Carrier made by Gorham Silversmiths in the Savoy Pattern.   The base and the handle are silver soldered to the basket.  It is about 10 inches long; 6 and 1/4 inches across; and 6 and 1/4 inches high.  This Wine Caddy has a wonderful and intricate design andf there is an oval space on each side for you to put your own mopnogram.  This Wine Caddy is in excellent condition.

This item is an exquisite large Silver Plate Serving Tray made by Reed and Barton Silversmiths.  This Tray is done in the Tara Hall pattern and has the number 1105 stamped on the bottom.  It has a wonderful floral leaf design around the entire edge.  This large Tray is about 15 inches across and is in excellent condition.   Beautiful and Hard to Find, Holmes & Edwards Silver Plate Spring Garden Large Tea Set Tray. This pattern was introduced by Holmes & Edwards Silver in 1949. This tray goes with the Coffee or Tea Service set, the coffee pot and cream and sugar pieces are relatively easy to find, the tray to the set is not. This tray is 20 inches by 13 1/2 inches and has four little feet, it is marked with Holmes & Edwards, Spring Garden, International Silver Company, 2080.  It is in good condition, does have some light scratches on the surface from the serving pieces being slide across the tray, common in silver of this age. It could also be used as serving tray for meat if desired and would be a perfect addition to your set!  Lovely Community Silver Plate Oval Bread Tray. This tray has a sort of rayed pattern, it is quite heavy given it's size. It is 9 inches long by just over 3 3/4 inches, marked on the bottom with Community Silver 6947, estimated age is 1930's to 1940's although it could be older. It is in lovely condition, silver is excellent with no dings, bottom does have some light scratches from being pushed across the tabletop. It would be a lovely addition to your collection or tabletop!  Beautiful William Rogers Silversmiths Plate Calla Lily Trivet Vintage New Condition.  This is a lovely find!  This is the Calla Lily pattern made by William Rogers Silver in 1980's.  This pattern represents the calla lily in tones of gold and creamy white. It is vintage, never used, still in the box with original wrapping.  It is about 10 inches long and about 8 1/4 inches across, in excellent condition, does have a couple of small paint skips on the finish.  A lovely addition to your collection or table setting!
