This is a nice old (early to mid 1800's) hand forged 14" long, iron fish or Eel spear head. This one has a very nice design. There is pitting on the iron. Overall good solid condition, nicely constructed. Weight is 3/4 pound. This one came from a old farm family estate near the Ohio River. A very hard to find, one of a kind fishing spear!  This wood spearing decoy is in flourescent orange. Measures 5 3/4 in. long. No makers marks. This is a very nice heavy duty casting rod marked, "ZENITH KOBE GUARANTEED SPLIT BAMBOO". The person who sold is to me said that it was in storage for many years and didn't remember it every being use. As I look it over I see no marks or scratches on the finish in the area where the reel would attach. Normally some marks can be seen if the rod was use. This rod is a close to like new as any I've seen in this style. The handle appears to be made of hard maple, it's 24" long from the rubber end to the bamboo. The wood is beautiful, in fine condition. The rubber bumper on the end shows it's age as it has some hairline splits from dry storage. The rubber is still solid and firmly attached. There is a total of 4 line furules, all have their original nickel plating, and all their winding are tight with a few loose end threads here and there. The varnish is nice everywhere, I would rate it good to good+, hard, shiny, and smooth. These are very hard rods to find in this condition, don't miss out! Note: Sometimes my camera lens makes the rod sections appear warped, they are as strait as when new.  Offering this nice full vintage box of 100 (give or take a few hooks) No. 4 Tinned fish hooks. Each hook measures 3" long x 1" wide. All the hooks are in great shape (unused). The name on the box label reads, "PFLUEGER I.P. COD FISH HOOKS FILLED POINT RINGED MADE IN USA NO. 4321 TINNED 4 100". The box is in good+ condition with light wear on the top and sides and a good label. A rarely seen fishing collectible!  2 issues of a weekly saltwater fishing newspaper covering the New Jersey, Delaware & Maryland areas. Dated Sept.9, 1976 and July 24, 1975. The one has a front cover photo of a 31 lb. striper. Lots of neat reading. Near mint condition-no stains or tears, just age discoloration. Shipping includes delivery confirmation, insurance is optional- foreign determined after the sale.
