ISSUED ON A THICK QUALITY PAPER WHICH THEY ENGRAVED PORTRAY OF THESE STAMPS. THIS SPECIAL LIMITED COLLECTIBLE WAS OBTAINED AT THE NATIONAL POSTAGE STAMP SHOW ~ NEW YORK CITY ~ 1969. BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING WASHINGTON, D.C. This engraving, with certain deletions, portrays the first United States special delivery stamp produced by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The basic design of this stamp had been used for the three earlier issues of special delivery stamps produced by private industry prior to the Bureau's production of postage stamps, beginning in 1894. This version incorporates the several alterations made to distinguish the Bureau's product from the earlier issues. LIMITED PIECES ~ HARD TO FIND!!
