Signed: Valley Forge Flag Co. – Womelsdorf, Pa 19567

Size: 4-3/4 inches length, 3-inches width

Condition: new, hasn’t been used, no hardware, bracket only

This is a rare graver's (engraving) chisel The metal sleeve is marked "Guaranteed Ezra F. Bowman & Co. Lancaster PA. Pat.Mar.12.1889". The handle is a dark tropical type wood, maybe ebony, or dark cocobolo. The sleeve on the handle is adjustable to hold the shank or stem part of the chisel in a slot in the handle by positioning the sleeve to grasp the chisel stem. There is a very nice chisel included also, a type which we have seen few of. The bottom of the chisel has a very slight inset gouge, in effect would engrave a double parallel lines with a hump or radius standing in the center on the steel being engraved, otherwise it is .06" wide at the cutting edge, and tapers to a width of .10" at the top of the chisel as near as I can measure to the cutting edge. The chisel part alone is about 3" long. The chisel is marked "DAMASCUS 60" could be 09, and also I see "11" mark near the other number. The chisel part included has a fairly short stem, or I guess I should say, the handle can fit a stem of much long length into the slot in the handle, as the slot is about 2.3" long inside the handle for various stems to fit into. I believe the sleeve is silver or silver plated steel, and it has nice engraving on it, and a nice decorative design on it also. The wood on the handle and the sleeve are all in very good condition, no crack, very little wear. I believe that handle was designed to be a universal chisel holder/handle, about to quickly engage or disengage with any of various styles and brand names of chisel into a comfortable holder that grips the chisels as well as any custom fitted chisel handle. I am not sure, but I would suspect this handle originally was sold along with a set of graver's chisel in a chisel tool roll, but I have not seen a tool roll with the Bowman name on it as of today, still looking though. Don't miss out on this one, it is the first we have ever seen, and the first we have offered for sale!  Stanley Screw Driver--Stanley Handyman Number H1253--10 inch--Good condition

Winsted Draw Knife--10 inch--Metal is in good condition--Paint is coming off handle--by Winsted Edge Tool Works

This is a multi-function tape measure. It has a built in level and a calculator and a belt hook on the back side so it is always in easy reach. Marked Graber. I believe from the '90's. Good, usable condition.  This is a nice, clean 3/4 pound cobblers hammer that is not marked by the maker. The head has a 1.5" diameter head, and has a handle that is 11" long overall. In good+ condtion with minor wear. We do note some casting voids, or pock type pitting, generally noted on sand castings in the 19th century. The handle is solid and fits good, with a chip off the holding end, and a slight repaired split at the head end, yet very well attached and still very solid, otherwise a very nice hammer. We note the round striking surface on this hammer is very flat, not domed like we often see on newer antique cobblers hammers.  A steel case that holds 9 pieces of miniature tools. Case is 8 in. long. Unmarked as to maker. Appears to be of very good quality.

The hammer head measures 1.5" x 1.5" x 4", the handle is 15.5" long and is marked "EAGLE" on it, no cracks, or damage, fits great. The head has seen little use, very little wear, very nice quality. The hammer weights about 2.3" pounds total, so the head alone is 2 pounds. A very nice quality made antique hammer overall!  German Compass--Chromed compass in a black case with green material lining--Has lock and works--Marked: Compass German

Stanley Bull Nose Rabbet Plane--#75 plane is made in England--4 inches long x 1 inch wide x 2 1/2 inches tall--Very good condition--Has mark Stanley Made In Eng on blade and sticker on back has Stanley Made In England

A four-way sharpening tool; two places for knives, one for shears, and one area says; mower, Made in USA is written on the top. A lightweight old adjustable tool, measuring 6-5/8 inches length, with lots of lettering. Rather unique! No maker’s mark, but most likely was made by the Apex Tool Co. and that would have been written on its original package, which was said to cut glass, sharpen lawn mowers, sharpen skates, grass shears, sickles, scythes, hoes. The glass cutter is at the corner – was advertised to last for years and cut like a diamond!

This is a nice clean used collapsible canvas antique bucket/pail with the rarely seen metal swing handle with the wooden handle. We believe it to be pre-WWII era. The design is very well engineered and manufactured, with very good strong frame work including the swivel pins, frame arms, even the handle and handle bail wire, all very sturdy! The canvas is brown with some wear, but about 95% intact, with a few small wear holes around the top rim area mostly, one or two small wear holes on the bottom frame area, both the top and bottom holes are around the frame part. We see about 3 tiny puncture holes in the canvas near the top of the bucket, that would slowly leak if the bucket was filled to the top. If someone was to want to use this bucket, it would need to be treated anew to make is more waterproof. It will hold water now, but water slow seeps out over a few hour period. The canvas is fairly clean, strong, and is still flexible, not brittle or fragile. The bucket measures 10" tall (14.75" tall including the handle bail in the up position) and is 11.5" in diameter. In the collapsed shape, it stands about 1.5" tall. A very well made collapsible bucket overall!

Metal auger measures 21 inches long and auger portion is 8 inches.  This is a good used early-mid 1900's vintage cast iron, pistol shaped, and graduated 4" steel leather slitting tool or gauge, generally designed for cutting strips of leather, but may have other uses as well. It comes complete with a good sharp hardened steel cutter that is marked "C.S. OSBORNE & CO. MADE IN U.S.A." and is sharp and about 3" long overall, no size of use, like new. The gauge has adjustable width feature that has a graduated scale in inches on it. The tool is marked on the top of the graduated bar "C.S. OSBORNE & CO. HARRISON N.J.", This tool was originally patented on the date of July 17, 1877 on this design. The slide bar has the capacity from 1/4"4" widthes, and can hold a cutter up to 1/8 x 5/8". The pistol shaped handle appears to have about 95% of the original paint intact, in very good shape, no rust or damage. All in good condition with no cracks or damage, and the set screws are in useable shape. A very good clean vintage leather working tool!

KB-4 sharpening stone made in the USA. Measures about 4 x 2 x 1. This has been used.  This is a nice, clean 12 ounce cobblers hammer that is not marked by the maker. The head is 3.25 long overall, with a 1.38" diameter contact surface, and a 1.3 wide tip at the opposite end. The steel head is clean, no rust, no pitting. The pointed tip seems to have more wear on one side from about the middle than the other, but can be re-ground or formed if need be. The handle is good solid hardwood 9.0" long overall fits tight, strong and solid, no cracks. In very good shape with only minor wear.
