This is a very nice all cast iron hand fluter, sometimes called hand fluting iron as it has provision for heating due to the transfer iron inside that could be placed on a stove or some other heat source. This iron and all it's parts where made before 1893 as North Brothers bought out American Machine Co. that year, and changed the maker's name at that time. This iron is marked on the underside in raised cast lettering "AMERICAN MACHINE CO. PHILADELPHIA PA". The base is 3.5 x 5.5, and the top is hinged, with 4 feet at the base. Inside is the transfer iron, and the fluting roller handle has a transfer iron lifter on it, so you can turn the roller upside down to use the lifter to transfer the hot iron into the base. By the way, this feature works very well, and there are three different slots in the transfer iron to place the lifter. North Brothers, I have been told, sold two transfer irons with each fluter, we have just the one. The condition of this fluter is very good, very little wear, no damage, cracks, or rust, most of the paint intact, the hinge and roller work fine. The flute points are about 5/16" from center to center, measuring the top of the gear shape on the plate or roller. A very rare antique iron!  This is a nice clean hog ringer pliers, with no maker's name on it. These pliers are 6.5" long with a single nose ring slot in each jaw. This allows the user to hold the ring and close the ring into the nose of the animal with ease. The ring slots in this model are rather shallow compared with other types I have seen. The pliers are in good shape overall, the pivot pin is in good working order, with a little wear, snug, no rust or damage, some minor pitting noted, but jaws are in very good usable condition. The depth set thumb screw is in good condition. A unique design, and a nice collectible farm tool overall! Very rare!  This is a nice clean hog ringer pliers, with no maker's name on it. Ford Wrench—Iron wrench for Ford car—Measures 9 1/8 inches long—The open end measures 13/16 inches and the closed end measures ¾ inches  Fairmont Crescent Wrench—Iron and opens to 2 ½ inches and measures 9 inches long  This is the short (approx 3.5 in long) screwdriver made by Stanley and numbered #2. It is sometimes called "Stubby". It is numbered 2712 and I have the patent information on the blade (patent # 250723), which was an improvement on the Phillips head.I will include the copy of the information I got from the patent office about the screwdriver tip. If you are an engineer or a tool maker, you will probably be able to understand it better tha I did.  These were used by mill wrights and early craftsmen to round spokes on a wheel or spindles on a staircase in the case of woodworking. We found this in my father's garage after he passed away. Many of his tools date from the 30's or earlier. No name or number on this tool but it measures approx. 9 7/8 in long by about 2.25 in wide at its widest. And the blade is very sharp! It definitely cuts skin! The jappaning on the handles is showing years of wear and there are some light rust spots. It looks like there are slanted lines near the blades on the handles, and it looks like there might have been wiriting on the jappaning. However it is worn off and even under a magnifying glass I can't make it out.

This is a nice vintage screwdriver display, design to hang on a wall. It is marked "BLUE GRASS CUSHION GRIP SCREWDRIVERS BELKNAP-LOUISEVLLE" in larger print, with a very nice "BLUE GRASS" trade mark logo to the right of the print. It also has various markings for a total of 15 different types or sizes of screwdrivers, with wood tray type holders for 2 of each type screwdrivers to fit into, for a total of 30 capacity. The main back board is made of a smooth face, paint hardboard material, with a L shape hanger bracket on the back near top, and two metal pegs that act to hold the display at an angle of about 20 degrees from the wall for better view, the legs are near the bottom of the display. The legs and brackets are well attached and sturdy, one let is missing the little rubber tip on the wall end of it. This display is 22" tall x 12" wide. Overall it is in good to very good condition, with a little paint missing on the plywood type holders, a few minor rubs and scratches on the back board, but overall in very good shape! There is a display type number near the bottom "T2-BG888". A very clean hardware store display overall!  I think this is a tractor wrench. Wrench is 12" long and very heavy.  The knife looks a little scary, but has a lot of wear, so must be very handy. File still has the original white paint on the handle.  These 9" vintage wrenches still work. Teeth on both are a little worn, but in great shape.

This is a very nice, turn of the century awl handle, featuring the steel collet type chuck, so the steel tip is removable, and other tips can be used as well. Most of the time the tips used in these old awls have a squared end that fits into the chuck jaws. This is the most stable way to hold the tip with this type of chuck, but round shank tips can also be inserted and held. These tool handle often came with tiny wrenches that would fit on the threaded sleeve of the chuck, we don't have the wrench, and find a small adjustable wrench works just fine. The wood appears to be ash or some similar hardwood, and is solid with a nicely wrapped leather end. There were a number of makers of this type of tool, we don't know who made this one as it is not marked, and has an unusual flared end where the leather wrapping is located. We note that the handle is in very solid shape, with some minor ding noted on the end flared edge, nice smooth finish, and the chuck works just fine.  This is an nice clean early 1900's era, leather strip cutting tool, with graduated inch markings on the adjustable slide gauge, up to 4". It's in good shape with a fairly sharp cutter. The graduated bar is a little loose fitting in the slot, thickness wise, but will tighten down with the thumbscrew. The screw tightens down on the width however. (We believe there was original a thin brass wear plate that fit in this are to make it easier to slide, the plate or shim is missing). The majority of the original black paint is on the handle, and it is rust free. Although this one is not marked by Osborne, it is basically the same tool as ones we have had that are marked. An interesting old tool!  Early Wood Carpenter's Slitting Gauge. Measures roughly 18" in length. Has the 1/2" marks on the one side. Overall very good condition. Antique Acme 5'' Twist Handle Wrench. This wrench is marked on one side Acme (within a diamond), PAT FEB 27 82 (1882). The other side has markings which are quite worn, so the only legible part appears to be CHICAGO. It has been worn smooth from use, with tiny flecks of yellow (maybe original or picked up from toolbox?). Moves freely when twisted, but probably could use a good cleaning/oiling by someone with more experience with tools than I have. This antique Acme Twist Handled Wrench is hard to find (if not rare) and perfect for the tool collector.  Pair of Old Carpenter Planes. I would classify the pair as having more value for use then collector value. The smaller of the 2 is a Stanley Handyman 1204 and the other is a Fulton 5262. Measure about 9 3/4 and 14 inches respectively. Some wear but overall condition of these is still very good. Great to add to Woodworking Tool Box. Buyer to pay shipping
