This is a hand drill with a removable brass handle. The handle removes to store extra bits. It's 11 in. long, made of cast iron with black walnut knobs or handles. Marked on the chuck 10LCTR HMM. Takes bits from 1/32 to 3/8 size. 4 bits are stored in the handle. I believe this tool is called a hand twist drill and would be from the 1920's era. In good condition.  Antique old west hunting guide wood frame back pack game meat carrier. In fine condition for age circa 1920's this hunters treasure features heavy webbing with brass rivits and fittings. Original owners name Ronald lightly etched into wood. Likely Ash, a strong outdoorsman, trapper or sportsman may of hauled Mule Deer, Elk, Mountain Goat or Pronghorn Antelope.  This is a nice clean, used sewing tool handle, known as the "MYERS FAMOUS LOCK-STITCH SEWING AWL.", and marked "C.A. MYERS CO. CHICAGO" on one side of the tool, and "PAT. MCH 28 1905" on the tool. The kit includes heavy white thread that is contained on a spool, and one extra spool. The needles on this model are heavy duty for sail material or canvas, posibly to be used for leather. The tool is 5.2" long, and the needles are the larger 2 that were available, number 6 & 8, the 6 has the curved tip. The needles are designed for used with waxed thread, and are hollow. The needles can be stored inside the cavity of the thread wood handle. Overall a very nice tool, no damage, clean, minimal wear, a few minor scratches, good threads on the cap and needle chuck, good tight handle!  This fine ad is in excellent condition and measures approx. 6 1/2" x 10". This ad is suitable for framing. This ad depicts a bull dog sitting by a garden hose.

Silky white invalid feeder. Made In Germany in green on bottom embossed with the number 100. Six and a half inches long with tiny yet secure stress crack on handle. Great antique medicine nursing display piece.  A set of 5 brass weights, from 1 kilogram to 50 grams. Not quite sure why they are in kilos, as England measured in pounds and ounces - however, they all have Standard stamps, and the 1 kilo has 42 stamps on its sides, and one on the top. Four other types of marks also, underneath. Maybe these are from Continental Europe. The stamps have letters in shields, and the last few are numbers, being 84, 88, 90 and 92. The 500 gram weight has four marks, again letters, then numbers, ending at 92. Underneath are the initials "WR". This weight is quite scarred. The 200 gram weight has 10 marks, ending in 86. Also has WR underneath. The 100 gram weight has only a B mark. Underneath is DS.

The little 59g weight has a hole in the side, and only one stamp. (It weights correctly 50g). Underneath is a monogram of the letters AJ, and "39". Wooden box has a split, which would respond well to gluing and clamping. All weights have lovely feel of their age.  This fine ad is in excellent condition and measures approx. 8" x 10 1/2". This ad is suitable for framing. This ad depicts the "New Weston Cadet Exposure Meter".  This is a very nice padlock w/key, in great shape. I don't see many of them these days. It is marked on the front "YALE & TOWNE MFG. CO. STAMFORD CONN. U.S.A.", and on the back is marked "THE JUNIOR VULCAN TOOLS ALL WROUGHT METAL.". The key opens the lock with a clockwise turn, and has a good strong spring to pop the lock into the open position once the key is turned to the open position. The lock and key are both in good+ condition with very little wear, not rusty, and not dented. The lock measures 3" high x 2.0" wide and .6" thick. A hard to find lock w/key, in good shape.

This is a very nice pair of what appears to be hand forged sheep shears or scissors, tested on paper, and they cut very well, good straight 2.7" long cutting edges. I know that many shears for gardening were made this way, but I rarely ever see any less than about 12" long, these are only 6" long overall. A pair of shears in this style, and in this good of shape is very rare. They are sharp, clean and ready to cut paper, and perhaps other materials. Very nice old tool!  Fine condition with original extra diaphragm

Antique Ether with original Fries Brothers Kelene box. Great labels with Merck and Company distributors. Perfect bottle, all original though contents long gone.

Ether or Sweet Vitriol was discovered by Raymundus Lullius a Spanish chemist According to anesthesia-nursing. com a fascinating website for Nurses in 1540 Ether was first manmade by Valarius Cordus a Scientist from Germany and a Swiss Physician Alchemist named Paracelus discovered it's hypnotic effects. W.G. Frobenius a German Scientist changed he name to Ether in 1730.

Though used for every ailment from Scurvy to Lung disorders Ethers first use s an anesthesia was by Dr. Crawford Williamson Long a Maryland Surgeon in 1842. Sadly he did not publish his findings until 1848 which laid the basis for hotly debated patent claims to follow by Dr W.T.G. Morton. His public surgical demonstration and the failure of Nitrous Oxide propelled ether in to international use. The Doctor called it Letheon and his patent application never brought him the financial reward he hoped for.

This is a nice vintage cast iron and steel slitting tool or gauge, generally designed for cutting strips of leather, but may have other uses as well. It comes complete with a good sharp cutter and adjustable width feature that has a graduated scale in inches on it. The tool is marked on the underside of the steel slide, "DIAMOND EDGE", although the Osborne mark is not on this one, the pistol grip shape is identical to the marked Osbourne models we have. The slide bar has the capacity from 1/4"-5" widthes, and can hold a cutter up to 1/4 x 3/4". The pistol shaped handle appears to have had black paint or Japanning on it originally, about 70% remains on it. All in good condition with no cracks or damage, less than normal wear. A nice clean old cutting tool, sharp and ready to use! A nice clean vintage leather working tool!  Vintage Homemade Saw Box. LIMITED WASHINGTON PA. PAT. FEB.2.92" and has similar labeling on the included original box and instructions. Also included it one smaller interchangeable guide, and two other interchangeable punch needles No.3 & No.4, the needle appear to be brass, and one polished finish hook needle that was in the box, and the paper backing for the heavy duty punch needle that is in the machine in the pictures which is marked No.1 on the side of it. The machine is in 99% like new condition along with the needles, but the label on the box states there was 4 needles originally, so it appears the No. 2 is missing. The bottom of the box is in good shape, missing some of the old wrapping paper, the top is missing one end, but the top label lettering is still intact, so tape on corners, in fair condtion overall. The instructions are a bit fragile but intact with some wrinkles and fold noted. Overall a rarely seen early patented tool for the rug maker!

Offering this nice clean brass machine / engine oiler cup (thread cover top type) lubricator with a 1/4" pipe thread fitting end. This one is marked "LUNKENHEIMER CO. CINCINNATI O. NO. 1". The top cap seems to have had a hole drilled into the top of it, as with many of these the user often just fitted a lose cotton material inside and that material would allow oil to slowly run through the oiler. I guess the past owner of this one must have got tired of taking the cap off each time the oiler needed oil, but for what ever reason, the hole could be tapped, and a threaded plug fit in to keep out any dirt. The outside diameter of the top section is 1.0", and the overall height is 1.9". A rather hard to find lubricator in real nice shape overall!  Steel lock with key has Old Oak name and an oak leaf on the face of the lock. Measures 3 inches long. Very good condition. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance.  This old pair of hedge trimmers has blades that measure 11 inches long. The handles are about 1.25 inches in diameter by about 10.5 inches long and are of old hard wood. They were evidently painted blue at one time as there are some blue areas of paint left on the handles. There are rivets that hold the handle caps on to the wooden handles. The blades enter the handles through these handle caps. The handle cap were probably red, long ago, as there are still areas of red paint on one of them. the hedge trimmers open and close very smoothly, but I don't believe they are sharp enough to cut anything. They are fairly heavy...2 pounds.
