This is a quality made 24" four fold boxwood rule featuring the best center joint design (the arch joint), and marked "RABONE MADE IN ENGLAND NO. 2548 WARRENTED BOXWOOD". This rule also features a factory beveled edge from 0-5" on one side only, this make it an unusual model. This is a very nice clean rule in about 95% like new condition, with very good markings, good straight sections, and all three original alignment pins in place. A very nice vintage rule!  This is a quality made rasp like file that was most likely used for horse teeth. Sometime also called a float. Others argue that this tool was used in horse tooth care. ? This one has an nice turning on the handle, nice looking, and is solid, but has a minor split near the brass furrule, solid still because of the ferrule. The handle alone is 6.5" long, and the overall length of the rasp from end to end is 18.5". The iron is clean, no rust, and just a few tiny pitts noted. There is two early name stamps on the main shaft, but they are hard to read, one of them seems to say "STUMPA" A really nice 19th century tool!  This is a quality made float that was most likely used for finishing the bed for the rifle barrel to fit in. Others have told me that this type of float could be used to file horses teeth. This one has an English style turning on the handle, very nice looking, and is solid, but has a minor split near the brass furrule, solid still because of the ferrule. The handle alone is 8.5" long, and the overall length of the rasp from end to end is 20". The iron is clean, no rust, and just a few tiny pitts noted. Judging by the style of the handle turning and the wood used, plus this type of tool design, we feel this tool is from the pre-1900's period. A really nice 19th century tool!  Cast Iron Plumb Bob. Measures 4 1/2" in length and is in Very good condition. I could not find any markings. Would make a nice addition to your Tool collection. Buyer to pay shipping.

Antique Horse Dentist Tooth Float $30.00

Gunsmith File or Float $40.00

Vintage Cast Iron Plumb Bob $20.00

This is a nice clean quality made 2.25 pound soft face mallet, great for adjusting soft metal, plastics, and other materials, even wood without leaving a mark on the part. The one is a 3" diameter, and 16" long overall. The material at the end of the hammer has a name, but I can't think of it, very much like rubber, but tougher. The condition is good, very nice hardwood handle, the edges are a bit worn, but still a good useable hammer.  This is a nice clean hard to find maker's name, marked "GERMANTOWN TOOL WORKS PHILA.", in Philadelphia PA. The nice sharp cutting edge is 2" wide, and the head is 5" long overall. The handle is nice solid hardwood, looks original, has a minor grain separation toward the end of the handle, fits nicely to the head, with one steel wedge in place. Germantown is a well known quality tool maker, and their tools are fairly hard to find because they weren't in business for very long in the late 1800's. This style of hatchet is considered to be for uncrating and crating of fruits and vegetables.

Offered is a Justus Traut Combination Plane. Plane resembles a Stanley No. 46. There is no markings on the Plane other then on the wood handle which says Trauts Patent March 4 '76. From the front edge of the Plane to the back edge of the wood handle Plane measures about 10 3/4" in length. I believe the Plane is complete but I'm not a Tool Expert so I'm not 100% certain everything is present to this Plane. I've taken several photos but if you need additional photos please be sure to ask in advance for the Plane will be sold "as is". Patina on the Plane has some light wear but overall good/very good condition. There is a slight nick of the top edge of the wood handle as well as on the bottom edge of the metal. Plane comes with 10 cutters marked 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 7/8, 1 1/2 (unmarked) and two others as shown seperately from the others (also unmarked). 9 Blades are shown but there is one in the Plane which would make the 10th. Plane would make a nice addition to any Vintage Tool collection. Buyer to pay shipping.

Vintage 'TOM-A-HAWK' hammer, hatchet, nail puller tool, 12 inches long. Marked; 'Wm. Petersen Mfg. Co., Lyons, Iowa' & 'Pat. Applied For'. Piece of the handle gone at the bottom as shown otherwise in good condition.

This is a nice clean old heavy duty screwdriver that measures 13.25" long overall, with a .37" wide tip. The appears to have been design to use in a production set up where a hammer and a screwdriver was require to set the part in place most likely. The brass handle end appears to have been used to tap a metal part, and the screwdriver tip is in very good shape, as well the the main shaft that is straight and clean. The steel furrule has a tongue and groove link, perhaps one of the most rigid designs I have seen. Winchester had a similar design on the screwdrivers. The handle weights about 2 pounds. A nice machine shop type heavy duty service screwdriver!  This is a nice clean 14 ounce surveyor's plumb bob with an unusually long neck (1 5/8" long straight section at top including the threaded cap). The steel tip and cap are both threaded and the threads are in good shape. The only marking on this tool is "14" on the cap, about the weight of it. The steel tip is a bit rounded at the point, and some minor dings are noted on the brass body and cap, but still a nice looking plumb bob overall. Measures 6" long overall.  This is a nice clean set of spiral drills all marked "MORSE NEW BEDFORD MASS. U.S.A." indicating the maker of each. There are (3) 1/2" (3) 7/16" & (2) 5/16" diameter bits included. The roll has room for one more. The longest drill is 7" long overall, and they are all in good++ condition, sharp and ready to use. The canvas roll is heavy duty, well constructed and clean. It is about 17" wide, and has a very good strap and buckle closure. It's hard to find a nicer set of spiral drills!

This is a nice clean unique styled 2 foot, 2 fold boxwood rule with the semi-arch joint, and beveled outside edge from 1 inch to about 9". It also has all brass fittings, both original alignment pins, and end caps in good condition. The numbers and markings are still in very good condition, and their is a rarely seen maker's family shield on one side, below the shield is marked "EST'D 1810 RE NO. 230601". Also marked by the 9 inch mark "MARSHALL OXFORD ST. MANCHESTER SMALLWOOD MAKER'S WARRENTED BEST BOX". The middle alignment pin is in good condition, the end pin is good, but the boxwood around it is worn. There is some width wise warpage, with an opening of about 1/16" at the end between the two sides when the arch joint is completely closed, otherwise amazingly straight since the rule is so thin, (only about 1/8" thick). Very nice for a rule that is at least 125 years old! There is no cracks noted in the boxwood, and the connecting area from brass to boxwood look good. There is a few scratches here and there, but overall a very nice, unique ruler!  Wooden scribe with wood screw. Good markings on measure. Approx 8 inches long. Vey good condition. Price reduced from $22  Early Brass Padlock initialed on the front "WB". Top portion of the lock says W. Bohanna Brooklyn, N.Y. I'm guessing Lock is from somewhere around the 1940's. Sorry I have no key. Measures about 2 3/4" in length and a little less then 2" across. Would make a nice addition to your Vintage Lock collection. Buyer to pay shipping.  This is a nice clean 10" long multi-purpose combination pliers, wire cutters with flat and rounded jaw area with teeth, and three wire cutting areas. A nice cast pattern on the handles. Some wear on the wire cutting areas, useable, jaw teeth in good condition with minimal wear. Marked "FULTON" just below the nice snug center pivot pin on one side. A rarely seen nice quality pliers.

This fine vintage advertisement of a 1928 ad for Yankee Tools is in very good condition but is slightly yellowed and measures approx. 6" x 9 1/2". This ad is suitable for framing. This magazine ad depicts Yankee screwdrivers and a vise.  This is a nice clean, rare 8" long pair of shears with the mark "P.S. STUBS" on the inner jaw. They are in very nice condition, a few very minor dings on the cutting edge, but don't ever appear to have been sharpened. The pivot joint is a bit loose, it is a peened center pin that can be tighten by swedging the ends, or remove it and replace it with an old nut and bolt. The pin appears original, but has been swedged a few times over the years. A very nice early British hand tool!  This is an early Bernard's patented rare double cutter pliers. They are marked as follows: "W. SCHOLLHORN CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. MADE IN U.S.A." & "BERNARD" (on the handles). Overall the cutters are in excellent working condition, with no wear seen on the cutting edges. Minor scratches noted on the handles no rust. A very nice old tool, very good jaw alignment and control! Measures: 4.1" long, the jaws are .25" wide total (1/8" x 2), and have a baring surface of about 3/16". A nice Bernard's patented smaller size cutters pliers overall!  This is a unique 7.25" long nickel plated long nose or tapered nose pliers! The inside jaws are smooth with a half knotch on each side that appears to be made for hold a small diameter pin or the alike. The handles and the jaw touch together at the same time when closed, and they appear to be made that way as there is no sign of them being bent at at all. The nickel plating is about 80% intact, mostly worn off on or near the nose area. These pliers came with some other special medical pliers, but I would say they would be useful to a clock repairman or other small parts work. A unique set of early pliers!
