This is a very rare automatic push drill model, marked "NO. 483 GREENLEE ROCKFORD IL. U.S.A." on the nickel plated sleeve of the main body, and a similar marking on the translucent green molded plastic handle. This is a spring loaded drill, that spins the drill chuck in a clockwise motion when you push the handle. Greenlee made the spring loaded chuck on this drill to except the well known "YANKEE" drill bits with the notch and flat on the shank. Included is a group of 7 drill bits (points) to fit in the chuck (from 5/64" to 11/64" all different sizes), and they are stored in the handle. The handle is hollow with 8 spaces to put points and one space to lock the cylinder in place to keep the points from falling out. The handle is solid and well attached, with some scratch and wear noted, but still very nice looking. Everything works as it should, very good mechanical condition. Appearance is about 85% like new with most of the wear on the handle and some minor wear on the nickel plating too. It is 9.5" long. Overall a very nice, clean drill, and a very strong return spring! A rare one!

This is hard to find late mid-1900's era, spiral type push drill with a full set of new 8 drill points, that store in the bullet shaped handle! It has the special 8 compartment storage handle that is made of metal and the red is heavy plastic, and in very nice condition. It is marked "MILLERS FALLS CO. MILLERS FALLS MASS. U.S.A. NO. 100". Each size of different drill points is also marked on the top polish metal ring near the end of the handle, to help keep the drill points in there corresponding compartment. The red part can be released and rotates to allow the loading or removing or the drill points through one hole. This works fine. The metal is all nicely nickel plated and polished, very nice looking bullet like shape. The chuck is different than the North Brothers Yankee chucks, so the drill points have a + shape at the end instead of a notch and flat like the Yankee's. In this case, I am including a new old stock set of drill points with this drill, the points where sold by Sears and Roebuck, and are the fluted type, in 8 different sizes from 1/16" to 11/64". The chuck and spiral are both in very good condition, and work smoothly. Overall this push drill and points are in very good to new condition, there is very little very minor wear to report, almost as if it was never used. A very nice tool overall.

This is a very rare, hard to find 1920's era, Yankee type push drill with 7 drill points! This particular model has a combination of both the rotating bit storage selector, and the hardwood handle. Unique, we have seen very few of these over the past 10 years! The drill points each store in the handle in their own compartment, that is marked for each of the 7 different sizes (missing the 1/16" size) on the side of the metal section of the handle, which is an improvement over the earlier model, all wood handle with no storage. The handle is in very good solid, firmly attached condition, with some plating wear, and some minor wood finish wear, but overall the handle section is in great shape. The drill points are the same as the North Brothers, YANKEE brand drill points and later Stanley Tools push drills used, and have the notch and flat on the shanks, all in very good to new condition. The shafts are nickel plated brass, and the screw type chuck is steel. The chuck is basically the same as the North Brothers Yankee chucks in design, with some minor different, but the drill points are the same. The chuck works just fine, and is in great shape. This is not a screwdriver, it was designed to drill only. It is 10.5" long overall, and is marked on the handle ferrule "MILLERS FALLS CO. MILLERS FALLS MASS. MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 79". There is some wear on the nickel plating on the spiral shaft, and as you can see in the pictures about 50% is worn off. One of the issues with the Millers Falls push drills from the era, is that they left the pin that holds the chuck in place in the spiral shaft sticks up a tiny amount, and when the pin reaches the next larger shaft during use, the pin head leaves a small ding on the very edge of that larger tube it hits slightly. Most all M.F. drills from this era have this tiny ding in the same place, considered minor, but need to mention it as this is a used push drill. One of the most rare push drill models from Millers Falls! Nice!

This is a very nice, used line lever marked "COLUMBIAN NO. 555". It is a hexagon shape with two steel line or string guides on either end. It measure 3" long overall. No damage, in very good shape!

Offering this early (of this type) carpenter's all steel mitre square in great shape! It is marked "FOX'S FRED G. BREUL TOOL WORKS BRIDGEPORT CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED 1921" on same side as the inch graduation from 0-10". It has about 80% of the original nickel plating intact, and is straight, good graduation markings, no rust or damage. We checked it for squareness, and still checks out good! A very nice antique square in great shape overall! There has been many makers and similar type carpenter's squares made since this one was patented. We are not sure if this was the very first carpenter's square ever patented, but the facts seem to point in that direction. I rarely work on a carpentry project without a similar type square near by, as I like to use it as a circular saw guide. Make quick mitre or 90 degree layout lines, or use it in conjunction with the steel guide on you circular saw. A most useful tool!  This is a very nice, near mint, plain English "HOW TO" book on the usage of a carpenters steel square. It is a 2nd condition, titled "THE STEEL SQUARE POCKET BOOK" by "Dwight L. Stoddard", and copyright in 1904 & 1906 by "Charles G. Peker". It has 160 pages of text and ample illustrations, explaining various uses for the steel square including many multi-angle formulas, and a good explanation of the various steel square scales. A very nice hardcover, pocket size book, only 3.5" x 5.25" size, with blue cloth covering. A hard to find information book!  This is an older, adjustable throat block plane marked "Craftsman 187.37052-A" on the cutter, and "U.S.A." on the inside bottom of the casting. It has an adjustable cutter depth and throat width, plus the lateral adjustment lever, all in very good working order. The cap cover design is a bit different on this one, but I like the way it holds the cutter, easy to make adjustment, but the threaded nut has to be completely removed in order to remove the cap cover. The cutter is set in the bed at 20 degrees, the cutter is sharp, plenty of stock on it, and ready to use. About 95% of the planes original paint is intact, some minor staining noted, it's bare metal surfaces are very clean. There is a no cracks, a few minor edge dings, otherwise very little wear. The adjustable throat works very smoothly. The cutter is 1 5/8" wide, and the plane is 6.2" long overall. A very clean plane!

Offering for sale this very nice 19th century, heavy duty 1-3/4" wide x 11.2" long tanged, beveled edge chisel in good+ condition! New Haven is a well known edge tool manufacturer in the late 1800's. This chisel is marked "NEW HAVEN EDGE TOOL CO". Like most 19th century edge tools, New Haven also used the quality cast steel process. The steel is clean, the edge very sharp, no rust. We note some minor edge and corner dings, and some dings on the flat bottom area, but far away from the cutting edge near the tang. The handle is hardwood, with an heavy duty iron furrule of ring at the end, fits the chisel tang very well, and is very solid hardwood, with little wear. Still plenty of use left in this one!

This is a nice, clean antique 1/4" wide socket firmer chisel not marked by the maker. The steel is in very good condition, no rust, or pitted, sharp cutting edge, ready to use. This chisel has a unique handle design with both the socket fit, and the brass ferrule there to give additional strength. The handle is solid, fits really well, and has a good leather cap at the end, with only very minor wear. The hardwood on the handle is in great shape, nicely fitted, not cracked. The chisel is 10.1" long overall. A nice quality steel, seems to hold a good sharp edge.  This is a nice, clean antique 1/4" wide socket firmer chisel marked "WEAGEWAY" in a fancy script on the steel. The steel is in very good condition, no rust, some minor pitted in a few small areas, but none effecting the cutting edge, sharp cutting edge, ready to use. The handle is solid, fits good, and has a good leather cap at the end, with only very minor wear. The hardwood on the handle is in great shape, nicely turned, not cracked. The chisel is 11.5" long overall. A nice quality steel, seems to hold a good sharp edge.  This is a nice, clean antique 3/8" wide tanged gouge chisel with a medium sweep arc. It is marked with a crown logo, and "J.N.U. GARANT" under the crown. The steel is in very good condition, no rust, no pitted, sharp cutting edge, ready to use. The handle is solid, fits good, and has a good brass ferrule with a few dents in it, but holding strong. The hardwood on the handle is in great shape, nicely turned, not cracked, a few past owner's intials noted in the wood. The chisel is 9.5" long overall. A nice quality steel, seems to hold a good sharp edge.  This is a nice clean top quality socket firmer chisel lightly marked "NO. 1 EXTRA", the extra mark refers to the top quality steel used on the blade. As nice a chisel as any made in this style, with some dings in areas that don't affect to use. The handle is in good solid, useable condition with a small area of wood missing off one side. Overall a sharp top quality chisel, ready for use. The overall length is 11.5".

This is a nice clean steel back 10" long blade backsaw or miter saw. It is sharp and very straight. Ready to use, cuts very nicely! Nicely shaped handle, with a few minor bumps and scratches noted, nice smooth finish otherwise, looks good, solid, not cracked, firmly attached, good brass hardware. This saw has been well cared for. There is a nice logo and the mark "G.H. BISHOP & CO. CINCINNATI O. PAT. DEC. 27, 1887" on the handle medallion. The medallion has three cut marks on the sided, most likely used to help hold the medallion from turning while tightening it. There is no problem tightening the medallion now. The steel blade is very clean, no rust, some small areas of minor minor staining. There is a blade etch on this saw, it is rather light, but here is what can be read "GEO. H. BISHOP & CO. CINCINNATI OHIO HAND MADE SPRING STEEL 8 WARRANTED PATENT GROUND", it also has the same logo with wings in the blade etch, but the gargoyle is facing the opposite direction. Overall a nice clean back saw, ready to cut!

I count 14 tooth points per inch. There is no missing teeth. Has plenty of blade left for future sharpening, measures 3.25" from top to teeth. A nicely made, top quality antique backsaw!  This is a nice clean, used, antique flat firmer style wood chisel with the socket type handle. The width is 1/2" x 12.5" long overall. It is marked "RUSSELL BROTHERS NEW YORK" on the steel, and they are believed to be in business in the mid-1800's. The steel is in great shape, no rust, very sharp. The handle is very solid, with the leather wrapped end, in very good shape overall, fits the socket well. Both the steel and the wood are in great shape overall. A nice quality steel, sharp chisel!  This is a nice clean, used, vintage flat firmer style wood chisel with the socket type handle. The width is 1" x 10.6" long overall. It is marked "KEEN KUTTER" on the steel, inside the KK logo. The steel is in great shape, no rust, very sharp. This is a nice clean, used, vintage wood gouge chisel with the tanged type handle. The width is 1/2" x 10" long overall. It is marked "BUCK BROTHERS" on the steel, and on the handle. The steel is in great shape, no rust, very sharp, a rather unusual cutting edge angle, good for rounding a sharp corner, and there is plenty of stock to sharpen it differently if you wish. The handle is an original Buck Brothers, with a good brass ferrule, a few minor stains, very little wear, smooth finish. Both the steel and the wood are in great shape overall. A nice, sharp chisel!  This is a nice clean, used, vintage wood gouge chisel with the tanged type handle, and bent or cranked neck. The width is 1/4" x 13.1" long overall. It is marked by the maker's but we can't read the mark, very small. The steel seems to be of good quality, very sharp, and the handle has a unique shape, with metal furrules at each end. Both the steel and the wood are in great shape overall. A nice, sharp chisel!  This is a nice clean smooth plane marked "MILLERS FALLS PAT. NO. 1822520" on the cap cover. The blade iron, is marked "SOLID TOOL STEEL MILLER FALLS MADE IN U.S.A." and the bed is marked "302 MADE IN U.S.A.". The cap cover is marked "PAT NO. 1822620" which is a patent number date of 1932. Nickel plating is about 90% intact on the special two piece cap cover, and the gray color Japanning is about 95% intact on the body. The rosewood stained handles have about 95% of the original finish intact and are in very good condition with no cracks, or chips, a few tiny dings noted. The 2" wide cutter is sharp with plenty of length left for future sharpening. The lateral and cutter depth adjustment both work just fine. The overall length of the plane is 9.5". A very nice quality plane with less than normal wear. A rare find at this price!  This is a very good, used 15/16" size boring machine auger bit by one of the best makers in the U.S.A., Russell Jennings. There are several things that are rare about this drill bit, one is that it is marked clearly on the 1/2" diameter shank, "RUSSELL JENNINGS 15", this is perhaps the most sought after spiral pattern among all, yet still in very good condition after over 50 years. Stanley purchased Russell Jennings in 1944 and began marking their new stock with the Stanley name as well as the Jennings name shortly after, perhaps by 1945. I rarely ever see a Russell Jennings bit with a .5" shank. Perhaps two reasons for this, one is that most got worn out or used up, and the shank showed the wear, so the marked got wiped off while in use. Also, I believe these were a special order bit, very limited in production, spiral ground, the best of the best as far as hand crank boring machine work goes (but can be used on a power machine too). The overall length is 8.6". This one shows very little wear, on the spiral, lead screw and cutting edges, cuts just fine, runs thru to the shank, not bent. In good useable condition. For the post and beam timber framer, carpenter, who desires to have the best of the best!

Russell Jennings 5 / 16 Boring Machine Aug $20.00

This is a very good, used 3/16" or .187" size boring machine auger bit by one of the best makers in the U.S.A., Russell Jennings. There are several things that are rare about this drill bit, one is that it is marked clearly on the 1/2" diameter shank, "RUSSELL JENNINGS 3", this is the smallest size offered by Jennings, and perhaps the most sought after spiral pattern among all, yet still in very good condition after over 50 years. Stanley purchased Russell Jennings in 1944 and began marking their new stock with the Stanley name as well as the Jennings name shortly after, perhaps by 1945. Second, I rarely ever see a Russell Jennings bit with a .5" shank. Perhaps two reasons for this, one is that most got worn out or used up, and the shank showed the wear, so the marked got wiped off while in use. The 2nd is that I believe these were a special order bit, very limited in production, spiral ground, the best of the best as far as hand crank boring machine work goes. The overall length is 8.3". This one shows a few signs of wear, on the lead screw, and cutting edges, but they shouldn't effect use, runs thru to the shank, not bent. In good useable condition. For the post and beam timber framer, carpenter, who desires to have the best of the best!

This is a very good used jointer plane marked "STANLEY" on the cutter, and on the lateral lever, has the "Bailey" mark on the bed in front of the knob, also marked in raised cast lettering "MADE IN U.S.A." in front of the mouth. The cutter has the "MADE IN U.S.A." mark on it, and there is a "NO.7" in raised lettering behind the handle area. Overall the plane is in very good condition with about 99% of it's original black Japanning intact, very little wear or sign of use! The front knob and rear tote are both rosewood, both solid , no cracks, very little wear, a few minor edge dings noted, and most of the original varnish intact. The cutter is sharp and about 99% intact. The bare metal has a slightly darkened patina, smooth and nice with very little wear or scratches, one small area of pitting noted just behind the mouth on the sole, will not effect use as it is less than the size of a dime in diameter. There is some very minor pitting on the bottom of the plane, scattered here and there. Overall a 96% like new, clean, and very nice looking jointer plane from the 1930's era!

This is a very nice quality iron Jack plane from the 1950-60's era! It measures 13.5" long x 2" wide cutter. As you can see in the pictures, it is in very good used condition! It is marked "SHELTON" on the toe, on the lateral lever, blade and cap cover, and marked No. 14 behind the front knob, and "MADE IN U.S.A." on the heel, and cutter. Features over 98% original Japanning intact, sharp cutter near full length, nice solid hardwood handle and knob, clean bare iron surfaces, no cracks, no wear noted. We do note a small round casting void (a minor manufacturing imperfection) on the sole, behind the cutter mouth, I can't see where is would cause any problem with use. It does have the lateral control and depth adjustment features, plus the frog position adjustment. This plane is about the best one I have seen in jack planes by Shelton! Very nice quality, and features, all in great working order! A a very nice, rarely seen vintage plane! Recommended!  This is a very nice quality No. 5 1/2 iron Jack plane. Much like the Stanley 5 1/2 (older style) but has a 2 1/4" wide cutter. This one is marked "H. T. CO." on the cutter with no other marker's marks noted. Feature over 95% original Japanning intact, sharp cutter near full length, nice solid hardwood handle and knob, clean bare iron surfaces, no cracks, very light wear. It does have the lateral control and depth adjustment features, no frog position adjustment, just like the older Stanley style. This plane appears to be like a Stanley type 8-9 with a replacement blade. The blade is of very good quality, and somewhat thicker than the Stanley blades, down near the cutting edge, tapering to the same thickness as the Stanley blade at the lateral adjustment area. A a very nice plane! Recommended!

H. T. CO. Iron Jack Plane No. 5 1 / 2 siz $80.00

This is a good, clean, sharp mild sweep, cranked or bent neck gouge chisel marked "BUCK BROS" on the neck and also has the buck head logo within the name. It is 3/4" wide, and 10.3" long overall, and has a very nice custom made, hard maple handle with a good brass ferrule. The chisel is in very good shape, very clean, no rust, the handle is very solid, near like new condition! A good useful chisel!  This is a nice clean early 1900's tool box with the KEEN KUTTER logo on the top lid! We don't see these very often, considered rare. The price guide claims these bring $450-$550 in original condition with labels and paperwork, but without the tools. This one is not in original condition in that it was painted brown inside and out sometime in the last 100 years. It should have an original KK padlock, and also an inside label, but otherwise, it is in good condition, very clean, and solid. As you can see there is a few tiny blocks of wood missing in some of the corner joints, and I assume that happened due to the type of joint and wood used, plus being 100 years old. The box is solid however, both top and bottom. It has the original brass plaque type label on the top marked "E.C. SIMMONS KEEN KUTTER ST. LOUIS U.S.A." on it, and the original latch is there but the part of it that wrapped around the top is missing, still holding well, and can be padlocked. This inside partitions are in place, and solid mounted. The hinges appear to be original. The box is 27.5" x 9" x 4.6" overall, and has two brass handles added to the sides that extent the length a bit more than 27". A nice rare early 1900's tool chest overall!  Offering this nice clean Stanley Bailey No 5 Jack Plane Type 7 with the smooth bottom, dated 1893-99; blade bears the "STANLEY PAT. APL 1992" mark. The plane is in very good condition with some minor wear on the original black Japanning, but about 90% still intact; bear metal surfaces good+ condition, no cracks or one tiny chip on the rear lip of the mouth, a few small dings, clean, some staining or darkening of the finish. The 2 inch wide blade is clean, ready to work, no cracks or chips; cutter is nice and sharp with plenty of stock left for resharpening. This type of Stanley plane is a bit shorter than the later types, measuring 13.4" long overall. The rosewood handle is solid and clean; very minor finish wear - as you can see the top section of the rear handle is missing, but still plenty there to hold onto, very solid. Rosewood knob is in very good shape, solid and clean, minor dings, no cracks or chips. Marked "NO. 5" on the bed, and one patent date marked on the lateral lever, 7/24/88. Overall condition is good+, some minor scratches, and edge dings, very nice, super clean plane from the late 1800's for your collection and/or use!

This is a very clean 4 fold, 2 foot long, boxwood ruler marked "NO. 751 LUFKIN RULE CO. (61) MADE IN USA WARRENTED BOXWOOD PATENTED 12-3-18". It features nice markings and good brass trimmings, including all of it's original 3 brass alignment pins. There is a bit of minor wear around the pin holes, very little staining, a little minor edge wear in a few small places. No cracks or damage to the hinges, or boxwood otherwise, very straight, not warped or cracked. All the hinges are still snug. A very nice, clean, good looking, quality made boxwood ruler overall!

Lufkin No. 751 Boxwood Folding Rule (61) $40.00

Offering this nice clean Stanley Bailey No 5 Jack Plane Type 6A with the corrugated bottom, dated 1890's; blade bears the "STANLEY PAT. APL 1992" mark. The plane is in very good condition with some minor wear on the original black Japanning, but about 75% still intact; bear metal surfaces good+ condition, no cracks or chips, a few small dings, clean, some staining or darkening of the finish, some minor pitting noted on the upper areas of the lever cap and the cutter. The 2 inch wide blade is clean, ready to work, no cracks or chips; cutter is nice and sharp with plenty of stock left for resharpening, no pitting in the cutting edge area. The type of Stanley plane is a bit shorter than the later types, measuring 13.4" long overall. The rosewood handle is solid and clean; very minor wear - few small chips off the top edges, very solid, a few letters stamped on the one side of the tote. Rosewood knob is in very good shape, solid and clean, minor dings, no cracks or chips. Marked "NO. 5" on the bed. Overall condition is good+, some minor scratches, and edge dings, very nice, super clean plane from the late 1800's for your collection and/or use!

This is a very nice clean 16.5" long, two speed breast drill. It is marked "AMERICAN MANUFACTURER GOODELL-PRATT COMPANY TOOLSMITHS GREENFIELD MASS. U.S.A." on the crank wheel, and also marked "GOODELL-PRATT COMPANY TOOLSMITHS GREENFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT. MAR. 31.1896" on the crank handle. The 3 jaw, 1/2" capacity chuck is also marked "GOODELL-PRATT COMPANY TOOLSMITHS GREENFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT. AUG.13.1895". This one has a rather unique speed selector on the side of the main frame of the drill. It is a spring loaded, lift and turn type of gear shifter, a little stubborn at times, kind of like shifting and old truck or car, slowly cranking the drive crank while shifting seems to work about the best. Both speeds and all gears are in great working condition, as well as the chuck and the wood handles, solid no cracks. The black and red Japanning is in good condition overall, a very soft type paint is seems, and has lost some of it's shine, mostly on the red color. The Japanning is about 85% intact overall. This is a very nice drill! I would rate is at medium-heavy duty. The breast plate is 2 position adjustable.  This is a nice clean used spiral push drill w/ 8 different sized drills (from 1/16" to 11/64") that store in the handle. It is marked "STANLEY YANKEE NO. 03-043 U.S.A." on the nickel plated area between the handle and the knurled nut. It measures 9.6" long overall extended without the drill bit. The steel spring chuck and spiral system are in good useable condition with very little wear. Nickel plating is about 99% intact with some minor wear noted. This one has the spring loaded type chuck. The bits are are in very good used to new condition, removable, and have a .168" diameter shank, and will except that size Yankee drill bits that we also offer for sale (under Yankee with the search feature). We also offer a straight shank drill adapter chucks for sale, for this model (sold seperately). A nice, clean spiral push drill, with very little wear, 99% like new condition!  This is a very nice clean antique, hand made draw knife from the mid-1800's era! It is one of the largest we have had to offer over the years with a 14" long blade, and 22" long overall. The steel blade is the laminated type, with the softer steel extending out to the tangs inside the handles, and across the back, and then the top quality tool steel in the cutting edge area. This style of manufacturing was used on many edge tools, particularly larger edge tools through most of the 1800's. The blacksmith could use heat and technique to weld the two steel types together without loosing the qualities of either steel. The edge steel was sometimes too brittle in place, but this tool doesn't seem to have had that problem for the most part. The is one very small chip off of one corner of the edge noted. The handles are in solid shape, clean and well attached, but do have some grain splits in them. The steel tang down the middle of the handle, is bent over at the end tip to keep the handle from moving, or from being over stressed and breaking in half or coming off. This concept of holding the handles in place worked well and was continued well into the 1900's, and even in production type draw knives! I am not sure what J. Williams this was, but most likely it was the one from the Boston Mass. area. The overall condition is good++, with a very sharp cutting edge, no rust, and very few tiny imperfections. A really nice tool overall!

This is a spring loaded drill, that spins the drill chuck in a clockwise motion when you push the handle toward the chuck. Greenlee made the screw chuck on this drill to except old Goodell fluted shank drill bits with the 4 flutes or parallel notches on each shank to go in the chuck, then at the other end, a 2 fluted wood cutting point. The full set of 8 drill different size bits (points) to fit in the chuck comes with the drill, and they are stored in the handle. All 8 points are different sizes from 1/16" to 11/64", all are from very good to like new condition. This is a rather unique tool, sometimes called a box scraper, some call it a scorp. This particular model has a nearly straight and flat cutting edge, and appears to have been used as a finish scraper. It's cutting edge is 4.5" wide with clearance angles cut on both sides to allow the user to get the blade into bottom corner to some extent. The hardwood handle are the hollow type with steel from the main body of the scorp extending through them both, then the end of the steel tang is bent over a washer to hold them firmly in place. They are both solid, both have metal ferrules, and are both very well secured. The cutting edge is very sharp with plenty of stock for future sharpening. A uniquely shaped, quality made tool overall!  This is a nice clean used spiral push drill w/ 8 different sized drills (from 1/16" to 11/64") that store in the handle. All the drill bits are in good++ to new condition. It is marked "YANKEE NO. 41 NORTH BROS. MFG. CO. DIV. OF STANLEY TOOLS PHILA PA. U.S.A." on the nickel plated area between the handle and the knurled nut. It measures 9.6" long overall extended without the drill bit. The steel spring chuck and spiral system are in very good useable condition with very little wear. Nickel plating is about 98% intact with some minor staining on the handle, otherwise bright and shiny. This one has the spring loaded type chuck. The bits are are in very good used or new condition, removable, and have a .168" diameter shank, and will except that size Yankee drill bits that we also offer for sale (under Yankee with the search feature).  This is a nice, clean, flat steel blade screwdriver with a nicely turned wood handle! It is 5" long overall. It is not marked by Stanley, but it matches the Stanley No. 86 model, manufactured between 1897 and 1927. The handle is made of beech, and is in very good condition, not cracked, with a nice brass ferrule. The blade is straight, and rust free. This model was often included with some boxed sets of tools, like the No. 45 plane and cutters sets. Very nicely made, top quality.  Offering this nice 24" long patented plumb & level, marked "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO. PAT. FEB.18.90" on the level brass top plate cover. Both the level and plumb glass vials are in good working order. This one has good round shaped brass cover plates, and a good brass top plate, with little wear. The brass hardware is all there, and in good shape, with some minor tarnishing. The cherry wood is nice, with some corner wear and dings as you would expect in a level about 100 years old, but is not cracked, and has a nice polished finish. It sets flat, and is not warped. A nice looking, quality level!

THE STEARNS GAUGE IS A LITTLE HARDER TO FIND THEN THE STANLEY GAUGE. THE GAUGE IS 3 INCHES LONG X 1 5/8 INCHES HIGH X 1 1/2 INCHES WIDE. THE GAUGE IS IN GOOD CONDITION BUT HAS SOME VERY LIGHT SURFACE RUST.  This is a very nice clean Stanley No. 3 smooth plane from the 40's era or a type 17. This type has the hardwood handles that have a heavy rosewood stain on them, used during this war period, the handles are in very nice condition, with some areas of stain missing. This plane is in good++ condition with about 95% of the black Japanning. The bare metal surfaces are clean, the handles and castings are solid, no cracks. Like other war production model we have seen, this one has the hard rubber depth adjustment wheel, no frog adjustment screw, and heavier casting thickness on the bed casting, as from the factory. This is a very nice vintage Stanley plane in very good, ready to display or use condition!

This is a unique, No. 4 size metallic smooth plane, with the rare Hibbard, Spencer, & Barlett Co. mark on the cutter. The cutter is actually marked "H.S.B. REVONOC", and this is the only marked on this plane. The H.S.B. Co. has 100 year history of distributing all sorts of quality tools, made by other companies in many case, from it's Chicago location. This is a very nice, clean example of a smooth plane they supplied in about the 1930's era. There is only some minor differences between this plane and the Stanley No. 4. The cutter is tapered in thickness for one, and is much thicker at the mouth of the plane, very solid, and the cutter is moved slightly forward to the toe of the plane compared with the Stanley. The lateral, and depth adjustment are basically the same, and this plane is 9.6" long with a 2" cutter. There is no frog adjustment screw for this model, as from the factory. The condition is very good with about 90% Japanning intact, good solid hardwood handle, and knob. We did note an old repaired crack on the handle, was tested for strength, very well done, very solid. There is also an H shaped mark on the top of the handle. There is a few minor dings on the plane, but over all, very good condition. A very rare plane! Quality made!

This is a unique, antique block plane, made of all steel construction (much more crack resistant than cast iron), (except for the wood handle) and has a permanently mounted frog with a nice depth control thumb wheel on it, work great! It measures 7.75" long overall, and has a good sharp 1.6" wide cutter. There is most of the paint intact on the bed inside, and the paint on the cap cover and outside bed rails are about 65% intact. The plane is clean, not rusty, flat on the bottom, and works just fine! We've never listed one of this type before, rather rare! The cutter and the bed are not marked. The cutter is plenty long, and tightens down firmly, also seems to be of good quality steel. Different!  Offering this nice clean Union Mfg. Co. No. 110 this one has the "UNION MFG CO. NEW BRITAIN C. U.S.A." stamped mark on the cutter. There is also a "UNION 110" raised cast lettering on the bed. SIZE:7" LONG x 1.62" wide cutter

MFG. DATE: 1930'S-40'S

CONDITION: GOOD+ No rust, or cracks, minimal wear.

This is a very nice clean, adjustable throat block plane with the 1 5/8" wide cutter x 6" long. It is marked "PLAN" on the cutter, and that is about all we can read of the mark. It should be marked L. BAILEY, but the mark is stamped lightly, and it's hard to see the lettering. The radius of the stamp seems correct, as the Bailey mark was a radius at the top. The cutter is in good shape, is the correct shape, and size, and has the correct grooves on it, so it fits the cutter adjustment teeth correctly. This is a pre-lateral adjustment plane, most likely a type 6 or around 1885, as it has the smooth surface on the cap cover around the screw hole area. A nice looking plane with about 30% of it's original Japanning intact overall, very clean bare metal surfaces, and a good working adjustable throat, all with minimal wear and no rust, a few scratches noted on the bottom surface. The cutter is sharp, and in good useable condition, no rust or pitting. The cutter is set at 20 degrees on this plane, and it's ready to use with plenty of stock left for future sharpening. Stanley No. 9 1 / 2 Adjustable Throat Bloc $70.00

Offering very nice clean Stanley No. 120 block plane from the early 1900's era. This one has a light stamping on the cutter, so it is difficult to see, but it is the circular shaped mark that reads "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO. NEW BRITAIN CONN. " in a circular shaped print, from early 1900's era. This plane measures 7.1" long x 1-5/8" wide cutter. It has about 70% of the original Japanning intact, plenty of cutter length left, no cracks, very nice overall, just missing the paint on the cap cover mostly. The rosewood knob is in very good condition, no cracks, nice finish. The cutter has a small chip off one edge, about .5" back from the cutter. The is the old style laminated cutter with the softer steel in the upper section, and the hardened steel in the cutting edge area. There is still over 5/8" of hardened cutter left for future sharpening. Also noted: The cutter throat in the bed is slighly enlarged, I have to mention it, but not enough to cause any use problems. The feature that sets this model plane apart from all the rest is the special depth adjustment feature, with the special fine serrated groove on both the adjustment post and on the cutter to match. These are hard to find cutters, and this cutter being one the an early styles offered, makes if very rare! A nice clean example of a rarely seen, early 1900's block!  A Stanley plane marked No. 101P 13-101A. Measures 3.5 in. long and 1 1/8 in.wide. In good, usable, displayable condition.  This is a very clean Stanley No. 3C plane with the dark stained hardwood handles and the corrugated bottom. It has no cracks and the Japanning is about 70% intact with most of the worn off Japanning around the front knob. The handles are solid with some of the stain worn off, but not crack or chipped. The cap cover has about 80% of it's nickel plating intact, and is marked "Stanley" on it. The blade is sharp and has little sign of use, and is marked "STANLEY MADE IN U.S.A." on it. The blade is sharp and has plenty of stock left for future sharpening. The plane measure 9.2" long overall, and has a 1.75" wide cutter. Overall a very nice tool!  A Stanley wood plane that is marked 60 1/2. Stamped on the side. Adjustable throat. Measures 6 in. long, 1.5 in. wide and about 13/8 in. tall. In good, usable condition.
