Since then it has provided basic training of young people seeking careers at sea. Plates in this series are not individually numbered and no certificates were issued. It looks like it was originally printed in 1894,(date is hard to read) and this reprint was done by, I. B. Fischer Co., New York City. It was part of an 8 print set, they released in 1946. Of course the picture features the 1800's Clipper Ship, "Nightingale, setting sail off what is now Battery Park, in NYC. The overall size of the print is 11" x 14", and the color print measures about 8 1/2" x 12". The colors are bright & crisp. These prints are in excellent condition, and are suitable for framing.
