This adorable pottery thimble is in MINT condition and is decorated with a handsome St Bernard transfer. The thimble measures 1 1/8th inches high and has about a 7/8ths inch opening. (it fits nicely on my medium sized hand.)  This book is filled with sewing methods for saving time and avoiding errors to help bring you beautiful results. Measurements, alterations, marking, proper choice and sequence. Coats & Clark's Sewing Book. Newest Methods from A to Z. Revised and expanded edition. ©Copyright 1967 by Coats & Clark Inc. Third Edition, Third Printing. There is some minor smudging on the front cover and one water mark droplet on the upper right corner. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight. This 224-page hardcover edition is in Good Plus condition.  This high heeled shoe is a vintage pincushion. Stands 1.5 in. tall and is 2.5 in. long. Please forgive the dust still on it in the image. Been in storage a long time. normal use wear for an item of this vintage. I believe from the '40's era, perhaps earlier.  This little scissors is marked Germany. Measures 3.5 in. long. Stork shape. I believe this type of scissors was used mainly for embroidery work.

1920-1930 Antique Flat Iron Pin Cushion, wood handle, metal base, red cushion.  Sewing, Laundry Room Decor. Art Nouveau Style Gold Tone Pin Cushion Shoe, red velvet cushion, rhinestones, pearl, braid for hanging. Marked Wemco Metal, Philadelphia.  Vintage 1963 Embroidered Apliques and hooks. There are two unopened packages of Appliques the first one is EZ Schiffli Motifs Style A516 that we believe to be blue tulips on green stems and are approximately 3.00 inches tall from bottom of the stem to the top of the petal and approximately 2.12 inches at the widest point. The second one is a pair of three little kittens adorable as when they were first made and are approximately a half inch tall, and 1.50 inches wide and has a slight arch to them and was made by Hirschberg, Schutz & Company. Both packages are slightly age discolored, but the Appliques are perfect as can be. The third item is from England Neweys World Famed Hooks & Eyes size 0. There are 8 complete sets on the card and three eyes, the rest are missing or have been used very slight age discolored but the front graphic still very vivid. There is a bend in one corner and all 4 corners are boxed. Neweys is the Hook & Eye Makers to HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.  Cute little English sewing needle kit with handle by an unknown maker. It is made out of a faux red leatherette covering with embossed silver tone design and words. It is approximately 2.50 inches wide and 3.87 inches long not including handle. It is good used condition with no tears, but does have some wear to the edging of the case and inside wording and points of the interior. Someone also wrote with what looks to be pencil but then tried to erase it, and does have some light staining. The needled are contained in a center holder that is attached in the center and reads Sharps Manufactured in England. We do not know if the needles are original to the case.

This very cute old wicker sewing basket has the attached top and side handles. There is no lining inside. The basket is oval in shape, measuring 4 7/8ths inches tall by 10 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches deep. It is very Clean and in very good condition overall, but I do see one place where one piece of cane has broken off leaving a small hole. The color is a dark forest green.  Sears 2-SPEED ELECTRIC SCISSORS MADE IN USA * stainless steel blades have nylon inserts to prolong the life of the blades. *light shines directly ahead of blades-no more dark, shadowy areas *2 speeds-cuts heavy or sheer fabrics with equal ease *extra long 10 foot cord for added convenience *handsome gift/storage case included This pair of scissors are used, but, are in very, very good condition.  1950s Sewing kit that contains needles and the original needle threader. The graphic is a Quilter on both sides of the book and title of the book reads Sweetheart Needle Book and then it originally contained 21 needles and threader Japan. This book is in fair condition and does have a tear, bent corners, and a crease with wear to the edges as the pictures show. While it has the original threader, it only has 12 needles left that appear to be in really good condition. Closed this booklet is approximately 5.00 inches by 3.37 inches and still makes a great collectible.  Stationary (does not break down) wood yarn winder, measures 8 inches length, arms are 7 inches each, wood has nice use patina.

Lovely old sewing tool, Made from metal and natural mother of pearl, Measuring about - close to 3 1/2 inches long.  Vintage brass buttons, on original card marked: 1857 size 36 – 5 on card – Made In U.S.A. / Back has Mar. 26, 1962 ( faintly) and 70.  I have found over the years that these tiny vase looking pieces are mostly pin cushions but the pin holder is long gone so people call them planters and toothpick holders but they are not large enough or deep enough to be either of those. It is a Dutch boy sitting on what looks like a large sea shell that is a luster finish,it might be a boat since there is an anchor hanging in the front. It is very cute and marked just Germany with a number that I am unable to make out. It is about 2" tall and in excellent condition.  3 fruit buttons. Red Bakelite apple 3/4" x 3/4", Butterscotch Bakelite pear 1/2" x 1", purple plastic grapes 3/4" x 1 1/4"

4 buckles. 1 green iridescent 2" x 1 1/4", 1 multi blue 1 1/2" x 1", 1 yellow 1 1/2" x 1", 1 mother of pearl 1 1/2" x 1"  Three quilt patterns and instructions. All are from the early 1980s and they are unsued although one is open. Fan Crib Quilt, Schoohouse Wall Quilt and Prairie Tulips Applique Quilt.  This is a great Art Deco button. It is made of celluloid and accented with topaz rhinestones. The design is of a dragon. 1 3/4"  This adorable leather sewing purse comes complete with embroidery scissors and thimble. It is made along the lines of a coin purse and measures 5 1/8th inches long and 2 1/8th inches wide at the widest point, tapering down to 1 inch at the other end. Each end opens independently. The leather shows some very light wear where the thimble has rubbed against it. The scissors are extremely sharp and in excellent condition as is the metal thimble. (a number 11). The scissors are marked, CINEVE, Made in the USA and measure 3 1/2 inches long.

Sold AS IS! As found..this is not complete. Souvenir of Habana (HavanaA) Cuba. Red bakelite thimble, unscrews to reveal a thread case, at the top is a measuring tape. Needle case is no longer present. This is actually in excellent condition, it is just not complete. Circa 1920s-30s, authentic art deco era, no cracks or chips or damage. VERY COOL! Priced accordingly and priced TO SELL!  The older and larger size version of the Sewing Susan book. Measures 6" x 3 3/4". Still contains most needles and the threader, the darning needles are missing. Condition: No creases, there is 1 short tear in edge and wear along one of the edges. Covers are lightly age-soiled. Both in fair to poor condition, sterling silver, Simmons? Not sure, sold broken, as found, un polished, use as a priject, display or restore! One price for both.  Neat antique button hook (buttonhook) likely used to lace up women's shoes, although some people also use these as crochet hooks in doing crocheting. Has a nifty old turned wood handle with a metal cap underneath the metal button hook part (we don't know what type of metal this is but it is not sterling or silver plate). There are no manufacturers markings to indicate exact age, but from the handle type, old wood and condition, we would guess that this dates to the 1920s period or earlier. Measures about 5 1/4 inches in length, 3/4 inch in width and sits 3/4 inch in height when laying on a table. While all there, this vintage piece does show its age, giving it a great older appearance. There are two elongated cracks in the wood handle starting at the metal cap with lengths of about 1 1/4 inches each. The wood used for the handle itself is of the type that has inset lines in the wood making it look like there are other cracks all over when these are naturally occurring lines which give it character. There are, however, also line cracks on the outer end of the wood handle that are cracks, not natural wood lines. There are two lines encircling the wood handle which were put there when made as part of the design, perhaps to aid in gripping. There is a bit of dark spotting on the wood with other age wear via some scraping/rubbing, etc. The cap itself has two cracks going vertically along its sides like the wood handle, as well as much white/gray spotting/wear and some denting on its topside (the side near the metal rod). You can turn the handle when holding onto the metal hook part; it doesn't come apart and we don't know if it was originally meant to be able to be turned. The metal hook has tarnish/dark spotting, some rusting (not bad) and several tiny indentations/lines/marks/scrapes/denting from use, but no cracks. A nifty vintage piece which was clearly used but this gives it a great old look and believeability of age. A nice addition to any collection of button hooks or wood handled utensils in general. Usually the cushion is missing but his is still there. He has a faint Japan stamped into the back of the had and is in excellent condition. There is a faint hairline in the inside of the hat and the piece is about 1 1/2" tall.

Over 3 1/2" long, white metal sewing scissors, oxidation, sold as found, uncleaned up, nice detail on the handles, priced accordingly.  Pink dresden plate quilt top is vintage circa 1930s. There is wear, some staining (which would probably come out with a cleaning), some rents and tears, but this would be a great project for restoration or repurposing by using the dresden plates in another project. Sweet Collectible Vintage Pewter Thimble.  Nice vintage sewing, travel kit or for your purse. It is in a shiny gold case with the clasp. Open it up to find emergency sewing needs. There is thread, buttons, measuring tape and scissors. Just add some needles and it is set to go. It is 2 1/2 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide. Almost all women used to carry such kits in their purse in the 1950+60's. It is still very useful today.  This is a sensational goldtone metal buckle in MINT condition. It has an open almost leaf type design with two parts the total of which measure 3 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches tall. I don't see any markings.  Gorgeous big vintage circle button absolutely studded with rhinesotnes. Fabulous. SIZE: 1 1/2"

This picture does not even begin to show the fire in this silvery metal Rhinestone Buckle. It measures 1 3/8ths inches tall by 1 1/4 inches wide. The inside diameter is 1 1/8th by 7/8ths.  THis collection of vintage holiday sequin decals came from an old button box. I found them charming and for someone who does crafts, they would be so fun to use. The Santa measures 3 inches tall, the bells are 3 inches as well. The candles measure 3 3/4 inches tall and the light bulbs are 1 3/4 inches tall. These could be sewn on or glued.  THis collection of vintage sequin decals came from an old button box. I found them charming and for someone who does crafts, they would be so fun to use. The round crest measures 2 inches in diameter, the branch with leaves measures 3 1/8th by 2 3/4 inches, the hearts are 2 inches tall and the stars are 1 inch each. All are in good condition except the hearts, where one edge of the gold heart is missing. These could be sewn on or glued.  When I bought this retro 1960s red and white covered basket at a local estate auction, it was filled with hair rollers, curlers, and plastic hair picks. I think it would make an excellent sewing or crochet / knitting basket, or even a funky box purse. The basket is 6-1/2" high to the top of the fully removable lid, about 9-1/2" high to the top of the handle, by 8" diameter. It's very strong and sturdy, made of red and white woven spaghetti plastic over a heavy wire frame. The handle is white plastic over rattan or bamboo wood. It's in excellent condition with no splits or tears anywhere. The only sign of wear or age of note is the top of the lid has some fading of the red color.

This porcelain elephant with a pincushion on its back is in multi colors to remind you of the circus elephants. In very good, damage free condition. Measures 2.75 in. tall and about 3.75 in. long. Fun to use and/or display.  This adorable pin cushion is probably one of the most unusual which I have seen. It is a bright yellow plastic high heel measuring 2 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches long. It has a yellow fabric pin cushion with myriad tiny holes from the pins. It is in good condition with a touch of soiling on the fabric, and no markings.  This neat old wooden (probably maple) darning egg has a nicely turned handle. It measures 6 1/2 inches tall and is painted in black enamel. It has some paint wear and some light wear to the wood on the handle But is in pretty condition overall.  Beautiful set of round Victorian Buttons set in a wonderfully delicate pattern defined by rows of rhinestones. These buttons are in excellent condition. They have the old clasp bars on the back.

There are a few missing stones, but they are very hard to see. It is 1.25" wide.  Three (3) wood spools, Coats & Clark's mercerized sewing thread. All three spools of thread have been partially used.
