This is a very nicely made covered basket with a very fine and tight weave pattern. This style is sometimes called a sewing basket, as it has a wooden strap handle and a snug fitting cover. It does have a glaze or clear finish over the exterior it appears. This one has no sewing notions compartment inside, or plain inside. It measures 5.5" diameter at the top x 5" tall from the bottom to the top of the handle. The handle strap is very well attached and strong, it extends from the base to the joint at the center top. I don't see any damage on this basket, a few specks of white paint on it here and there. Very nice overall!  Vintage hand tooled wood box with sewing notions. The box is quite old; very dry but beautifully made. It is 9 long x 4 tall x 5.75 deep. Inside are 13 wood thread spools; Sheffield England scissors; pincushion; thimble and some other things. 1/12dxcs  Beautiful and unique in size - tiny - Sewing basket, Adorned with brass tokens and lovely beads, In excellent condition, Measuring approximately 5 1/4 in diameter.  Charming vintage sewing basket and notions. This basket is aqua, not green. The lst & 2nd pictures makes it look green; see other pics to see actual color. It is in nice vintage condition and has some very old large thread spools in it and some other notions. It is almost 11 wide x 6.5 tall. Foil label reads: Harvey, Barrington Ill., Pat. Pending. Vintage wood sewing cabinet stand. I distressed painted it in a pale sage green color although it looks pale blue in the photos. The paint is called Italian Sage, Folk Art brand, water based. If you don't like it you can re-paint it, very easy to do. If you do like it you should put a coat of matte polyurethane over it to retain the finish. It has a lot of old sewing notions on the inside and a little wood tray that fits inside. It stands about 27 inches tall x 14 wide x 11 deep. Good vintage condition. Inside are vintage wood thread spools, patterns, pincushion, needle pack, etc. I have some similiar ones for sale that are not painted. 1/11est#3268  Awesome vintage yellow sewing basket. Vintage barkcloth purse with lucite handle, vintage tin w/notions. The purse was full of sewing notions when purchased so I assume that is what it was made for but could just be a purse. The tin was purchased with purse and it also had sewing stuff in it. You get the sock darner; wood thread spools; Sewing Susan needle package; scissors, thimbles, crochet thread, buttons, etc. The tin was made by Guildcraft, N.Y. 10/10estcs+  Nice vintage oak thread spool box. Dovetailed bottom edges. Top lid has old brass hinge which opens to reveal a thread spool holder. Inside are some old wooden spools w/thread. Coats & Clarks, JP Coats Boilfast, Richardson Silk Co., etc. Not sure what the slots are for; this looks like it sat atop an oak cabinet or something. It is in nice display condition; one piece of wood apears to have been reglued in place near top inner corner. It is 8 tall x 16.5 long x 5.25 deep. Very unique item! 10/10br#3318  A wonderful little woven sewing basket full of goodies. This basket appears to be Japanese as evidenced by the two coins woven onto the basket cover. Along with the coins are ten glass beads of varying colors. The contents of the basket include 12 spools of thread, two thimbles, needles, and lots of pearloid buttons. This is a very nice sewing collectible.  Beautiful Antique sewing basket - All original, Made in US, Measuring about 9 1/2 wide x 6 3/4 deep and 4 1/2 inches high.

Appears to be mahogany wood. This caddy makes a very nice furniture accessory item, and the top two panels open. Has a spool slot inside. Inside are vintage buttons, needle packs, old wood thread spools, pin cushion, scissors, thimble, etc. This caddy is 8.5 tall x 12 long x almost 10 wide. 12.07estcs  Vintage carved wood sewing caddy filled with sewing notions. Very unique maple? sewing caddy with carved/tooled panels that open out. Inside is an assortment of sewing notions including the vintage wood thread spools, needle packs, pin cushion, scissors, buttons, etc. All the wood thread spools on the holder are included, but not the spool holder itself. It looks like there was another bodkin needle but its not in the kit, otherwise the contents are all complete and original to the case. The case measures 4 inches by 3 inches, the pearl shell is in wonderful condition-no chips or cracks. The gilt metal tools are in wonderful condition with the needlecase needing a polish.
