Alexander Princess Elizabeth. This is a 15 inch beautiful composition, Madame Alexander Princess Elizabeth in the original tagged rarer blue net dress. The doll is all original in beautiful condition, she is all original, the wig is in the original set, she has the metal crown original, underwear, shoes and socks. The doll isa in beautiful condition with almost no crazing and very little wear, there is 1 craze line under 1 eye, the eyes are not clear but dark so they look good, and the net on one side of the dress has a tear and just a few minor holes. German Half Doll of Dutch Lady with flowers. She is a 1 ¾ inch German china half doll with the arms attached. She has no chips, cracks or hairlines.  Very unusual Comical Tooth ache pincushion doll. This is a 2 inch German made china, pincushion doll with the holes in the base. It is a little person with 1 eye open and a ribbon tied around the head with a bow on top. This is an unusual pincushion doll with no chips, cracks or hairlines. It has a mold number on the base. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines.  All Bisque in Molded Clothing Campbell Kid Type. This is an all bisque doll just under 3 ¾ inch. It has molded clothing, shoes and a hairdo with painted features and jointed arms. It has no chips, cracks or hairlines.  Half Doll with Large bonnet. She is a 2 ½ inch half doll on a cork base the cork base is not included in the measurement of the doll. She has her arms away and returns to hold her huge pink hat. There are a few painted roses on the front of the hat. The half doll is pinned onto the cork base, the small nails are in very securely so I preferred not to remove them it also makes it nice to display the doll. She has no chips cracks or hairlines. There is a mold number on the back and she is a German made doll.

German Oriental Doll This is an adorable 10 inch Oriental doll that looks like the Simon Halbig 1199 mold but this doll does not have a mold mark only the numbers 6/0 the head size. She has an open mouth with molded teeth.She has no chips or cracks, there is a little touch up paint on the ankle of 1 leg. She has brown set eyes, the original 5 piece amber tinted composition body with molded reddish shoes with painted socks. The doll has a black mohair wig in a pulled up hairdo to a bun, with floral trim. She is wearing black satin pants and a beautiful cotton kimono that was handmade. The clothing is nailed onto the body. The doll is in beautiful condition.  German Black Bisque Doll she is 8 ½ inches tall all original a bisque socket head on a 5 piece composition body. The clothing is all original and nailed on to the body. She has a black mohair wig with an open mouth and molded teeth. The clothing is all cotton, a red polka dot dress, red plaid shawl apron and original underwear. The dolls feet are molded heels and painted with red socks and black shoes. There is a faint hairline under the neck. The bisque is fired bisque. The doll has black set eyes. She is a nice all original.   <b>Died in 1862</b> (1840-62) In the antebellum years he commanded a militia regiment and in 1860 was a delegate to the Democratic convention at Charleston, S.C. supporting Stephen A. Douglas for president. When the Civil War broke out he was elected colonel of the 2nd Maine Infantry and led his regiment at 1st Bull Run, and was commissioned brigadier general, to rank from Sept. 3, 1861. During the 1862 Virginia Peninsular campaign, he commanded a brigade in the 3rd Corps. As "General of the Trenches" on May 4, 1862, he was the first to discover the Confederate evacuation of Yorktown, Va. During the battle of Seven Pines, Jameson's command got closer to Richmond than any portion of McClellan's army, and he was praised for bravery by his corps commander General Samuel P. Heintzelman. Soon after he contracted "camp fever" which forced him to take a leave of absence and return to Maine. He died on a steamboat between Boston and Bangor, Maine. Very fine.   (1816-89) Graduated from Harvard in 1842. He served as a member of the Massachusetts legislature, 1859-60, and was editor of the Boston Daily Bee, 1846-48. In 1861, Shepard went to St. Louis where he expressed his antisecessionist and abolitionist views, and he soon took a position on the staff of General Nathaniel Lyon. He was Lyon's principal aide at the battle of Wilson's Creek, and after Lyon's death became lieutenant colonel of the 19th Missouri Infantry, and colonel of the 3rd Missouri Infantry when the two regiments consolidated in 1862. He was commended by his superiors during the capture of Arkansas Post. Ever zealous for the cause of the negro, he accepted the colonelcy of the 51st U.S. Colored Infantry which was largely recruited from runaway slaves and contrabands. He was promoted to brigadier general on Nov. 17, 1863, and the following year was stationed at Vicksburg with a brigade of 3 negro regiments. He enlisted on Aug. 5, 1861, at Niagra Falls, as a captain, and was commissioned into Co. E, 50th New York Engineers. Promoted to major, Oct. 14, 1862; and lieutenant colonel, Jan. 1, 1864. He was brevetted colonel, Aug. 1, 1864, for gallantry during the campaign before Richmond; and brevet brigadier general, for gallantry in the operations resulting in the fall of Richmond, and surrender of Gen. R.E. Lee. Wet plate, albumen carte de visite photograph, mounted to 2 3/8 x 4 card. Bust view in uniform with rank of major or lieutenant colonel with oak leaf visible on his shoulder strap. Backmark: Porter's Photograph Rooms, Oneida, N.Y. Light age toning and wear. Scarce. Very desirable Army of the Potomac regiment. <u>50th New York Engineers</u> The 50th, known as Stuart's regiment, and later as the 50th engineers, was organized at Elmira, of companies from the middle and western parts of the state, which were mustered into the U.S. service Sept. 18, 1861, for a three years term. It left the state 850 strong, Sept. 21, for Washington; was ordered to Hall's Hill, Va., and assigned to the 3d brigade of Gen. Porter's division. On Oct. 22, the regiment was converted by special orders from the war department into a regiment of engineers and ordered to Washington, where instruction was received by the men in their new duties. In March, 1862, with the volunteer engineers' brigade, Army of the Potomac, the 50th moved to Yorktown and worked faithfully in digging trenches, constructing bridges and earthworks, etc., until the evacuation of that city. At White House the command was divided into several detachments, which were engaged in escort duty and bridge building until reunited at Dispatch Station on June 1, when the regiment was employed in providing for the passage of the troops over the Chickahominy. It accompanied the army through the Seven Days' battles to Harrison's Landing, where it was again separated, one detachment being sent to Hampton, Va. When the regimental headquarters was transferred to Hampton in August, a detachment was left behind at Harrison's Landing, but on Sept. 3 the regiment was reunited at Washington. Four companies were detached on Sept 12 and ordered to Harper's Ferry, where they were engaged in constructing pontoons and later returned in charge of two of the pontoons to Washington, leaving a part of the detachment behind. Another detachment was sent to the vicinity of Fredericksburg with these boats, and the headquarters of the regiment were transferred to Acquia Creek, leaving one company at Washington. Great assistance was rendered by the 50th in laying the bridges before the battle of Fredericksburg, when they were under continuous fire from the enemy's sharpshooters. Until July 17, 1862, the 50th was enrolled on the state records as an infantry regiment, but an act of Congress of that date accepted it as a regiment of the volunteer engineer corps, of the same rank as the regular army engineer corps. After passing the winter in the neighborhood of Fredericksburg, the regiment joined in the Chancellorsville campaign, where it aided effectively in conveying the army across the river and was highly praised by Gen. Benham. At Deep Run in June, the 50th suffered the loss of 11 in killed, wounded and missing, while engaged in laying a bridge. Cos. A, C, F, G, H and K remained in the field during the summer of 1863 and the others were stationed in Washington. In Dec., 1863, about three fourths of the regiment reenlisted and received their veteran furlough. At the opening of the Wilderness campaign in May, 1864, the 50th was again divided, one detachment assigned to the 2nd, one to the 6th, and one to the 5th corps, one company remaining in Washington. In the winter of 1863-64, two new companies were added to the regiment and the ranks filled with new recruits. During the operations of the Army of the Potomac in May and June, 1864, the main work of the regiment was that of laying bridges at various points notably one 2,010 feet long, across the James. At Petersburg the regiment was in demand at all points for work of construction and repair on the fortifications, and it also assisted in destroying railroads. During its long service the men became very proficient in engineering and through its steadiness under fire is said to have lost during the last year of its service no bridge material of any kind. The original members not reenlisted were mustered out at New York in Sept., 1864, and after participation in the grand review at Washington, the veteran organization was there mustered out on June 13-14, 1865. The loss of the regiment by death from wounds was 17 and by death from disease and other causes 214. Source: The Union Army, Vol. 2   (1811-92) Graduated from West Point in the class of 1835. Fought in the Florida Wars against the Seminoles and Creeks and was wounded at Camp Izard in 1836. He was twice brevetted in the Mexican War and so badly wounded at the battle of Molino del Rey that he was disabled for 3 years. He was appointed brigadier general on April 20, 1862, and commanded a brigade and later a division in General N. P. Bank's army. He was captured at Cedar Mountain, Va., on Aug. 9, 1862. His principal field service after his exchange was in the Rapidan campaign which followed General. Robert E. Lee's retreat from Pennsylvania. Prince commanded a division in General French's 3rd Corps in this campaign and during the Mine Run campaign. In 1864-65, he held commands in Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina. 1981 WEDGWOOD GUYATT LADY DIANA / PRINCE $38.50
<b>Medal of Honor recipient for conspicious gallantry in the battle of Gettysburg!</b> (1828-1914) He was appointed lieutenant colonel of the 20th Maine Infantry, on Aug. 8, 1862. Chamberlain's qualities were tested in the sharp engagement at Shepherdstown Ford immediately after the battle of Antietam in September, and in the terrible experiences of his command in the disastrous battle of Fredericksburg in December where he certainly won his master's degree in military education. In May, 1863, he was made colonel of his regiment, having already acted in that capacity for three months. At Gettysburg, July 2, 1863, he held the extreme left of the Union line, and his conduct on that occasion in the memorable defense of Little Round Top won for him the admiration of the army and public fame, and he was recognized by the government in the bestowal of the Congressional Medal of Honor for "conspicuous personal gallantry and distinguished service." He was immediately placed in command of a division, which he handled with marked skill in the action at Rappahannock Station, Va. At Spotsylvania Court House, in May, 1864, he was placed in command of nine picked regiments to make a night assault on an impregnable point of the enemy's works. By remarkable judgment and skill he gained the position, but in the morning it was found to be commanded on both flanks by the enemy in force, therefore utterly untenable, and the withdrawal ordered was more difficult than the advance had been. Shortly afterward came the sharp engagements on the Totopotomy and the North Anna, and the terrible battles of Bethesda Church and Cold Harbor, where his coolness of judgment and quickness of action drew special commendation. He made the desperate charge on Rives' salient in the Petersburg lines, where Gen. Grant promoted him on the field to the rank of brigadier general "for gallant conduct in leading his brigade against a superior force of the enemy." In this assault he was seriously wounded and reported dead, but after two months of intense suffering he returned to his command. In the last campaign of the war, with two brigades, he led the advance of the infantry with Sheridan, and made the brilliant opening fight on the Quaker Road, March 29, 1865, where he was twice wounded (in the left arm and breast), and his horse was shot out from under him. His conduct again drew attention of the government, and he was promoted to the brevet rank of major general "for conspicuous gallantry" in this action. He distinguished himself on the White Oak Road, March 31st, although much disabled by his wounds; and in the battle of Five Forks, April 1st, his skillful handling of troops received special official mention. In the final action at Appomattox Court House, April 9th, he was called by Gen. Sheridan to replace his leading division of cavalry, and the first flag of truce from Longstreet came to him. His corps commander says in an official report: "In the final action Gen. Chamberlain had the advance, and was driving the enemy rapidly before him when the announcement of the surrender was made." At the formal surrender of Lee's army he was designated to command the parade before which that army laid down the arms and colors of the Confederacy. At the final grand review in Washington, his division had the honor of being placed at the head of the column of the Army of the Potomac, and his troops, fresh from the surrender at Appomattox, were received by the thronging spectators as might be imagined. Returning to Maine he was offered the choice of several diplomatic offices abroad, but almost as soon as he was out of the army, he was elected governor of the state by the largest majority ever given in that commonwealth. His administration was very satisfactory and he continued in that office for four terms. Gillmore was chief engineer of the Port Royal expedition in 1861-62 which effected an important Union lodgement on the Carolina coast. His greatest moment in the Civil War came when his brilliant plan reduced Fort Pulaski, Ga., the Confederate stronghold which guarded the approach to the Savannah River. In 1863 he commanded the Department of the South and was in charge of the Charleston campaign. It was said that his operations constituted a new era in the science of engineering and gunnery. In 1864, he served under Gen. Ben Butler and was involved in the Bermuda Hundred, Va. campaign. In Feb. 1865, he returned to the command of the Department of the South until the end of the war. This is a Paper Mache German Half doll 1920. all original in excellent condition 5 ¾ inches high. The doll has the original blond mohair wig, there is no repairs or repainting. It is stamped Germany on the base.  Queue San Baby The doll is all bisque made in Japan with part of the original paper label on the chest. The doll a molded hat, painted features and shoes and braided queue down the back. The doll has a one piece body and head, jointed arms and hips. The doll was made in Japan in the 1920’s. The doll has no chips, cracks or hairlines, there is a tiny pin hole in the upper thigh of one leg, it was probably and air bubble.

Metal Doll Bed in Pink. 1930. This is a 3 ¼ by 2 ¼ by 1 ½ inches cast metal doll bed which is painted pink and has the original rubber wheels. The bed is in very good condition with very minimal wear.  All Bisque Doll with separate movable hat. The doll is 5 ½ inches tall is all bisque jointed at the shoulder and has a molded and painted dagger with painted belt. The doll has a separate movable bisque hat that is strung to the arms inside the body. This was made in Germany. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines, but on the rear there is a small factory flaw, it is a very small extra piece of bisque that must have been fired on in the kiln. This is doll is a hard to find doll complete with the hat.  Joel Ellis Wood Jointed doll the doll is a 12 ½ inch doll with typical wear to the paint. The doll has metal hands and feet. The joints are nice and tight. 1873-1874  Nancy Ann Storybook Doll #56 American Girl Series Colonial Dame. She is an all original Nancy Ann Storybook doll with the original wrist tag, box and booklet. She is all bisque with frozen legs.

She is all original in the original box with the original booklet, all bisque with frozen legs .  Averill 1940 Girl Scout all original. This is a 14 inch 1940 Girl Scout by Georgene Averill. The doll has a mask face with painted features and blond string hair in a braid and curly bangs. The dolls clothing is all original and in beautiful condition, she has the original green beret, green dress, green underwear, red scarf, green belt, original shoes and socks. She is in beautiful condition all original with no wear, no spots, no creases in the mask or any age damage. She was sold as an authorized Girl Scout doll.  A hard to find lithophane cup & saucer (hold the base to the light to view a named portrait of H.M.King George V). See all pictures. The front of the cup has the cypher GRV with the crown and date 1911. All in excellent condition including the original gilding.
