A very nice leather copy with no foxing.

Hardcover - First Edition. The great-grand-sons of Paul Revere let the author study volumes of their great-grandfather's papers and also allowed the Stuart portrait of Paul Revere as a young man. This is the first time the Copley portrait has been reproduced. Frontispiece is a copy of this portrait. Illustrated in many B/W photographs and plates. Included Notes, Genealogical Data, Bibliography and Index. Red cloth boards with blue lettering and seal.  This book Merry Tales by Mark Twain (pseudonym of Samuel L. Clemens). NY: Charles L. This book Dabney Todd by Frank N. Westcott.  New York: H.K. Fly, 1916 appears to be first edition.  Red cloth hardcover with gold silhouette of blacksmith and horse, illustrated by M.V. Hunter. Tear in upper spine binding, frayed corners, 1 illustration loose.  This book Mosquitoes In the Big Ditch, The Story of the Panama Canal by Roger Burlingame and illustrated by Helen Damrosch Tee-Van is a first edition as stated on the copyright page.  No dust jacket.  A Fools Errand by One of the Fools (Tourgee, Albion W.) NY: Fords, Howard, & Hulbert 1879. Brown cover stained and spotted and frayed as shown. 7x5. 361 pp. plus ads. Front board attached but loose. The fool's errand was the attempt to rebuild the South after the Civil War in the image of the North.  Tourgee discusses such groups as the new Klu Klux Klan in the passages of social history interwoven with the story of a Union solier who moves to s Southern plantation after the war.  The novel is semi-autobiographical.   This book Boys in Blue; Heoroes of the Rank and File comprising Incidents and Reminiscences from Camp, battle-field, and hospital, with Narratives of the Sacrifice Suffering, and triumps of the Soldiers of the Republic by Mrs.   A. Boston:John P.Jewett & Co. Cleveland, Ohio:Jewett, Proctor & Worthington. 1852. Ninety fifth thousand.  Yes this was in the first year of publishing as there were 300,000 copies printed in the first year. Green pressed cloth with gilt embossed pictorial imprint and lettering. Condition as shown. Edges frayed, some foxing but intact. Only 1 of the 2 volumes, but priced accordingly.  The Mississippi Valley and Prehistoric Events Giving An Account of The Original Formation and Early Condition of the Great Valley; of its Vegetable and Animal Life; of its First Inhabitants, the Mound Builders, its Mineral Treasures and Agricultural Developments.  All from Authentic Sources. Burlington, Iowa:R.T. Root, 1880. original brown blindstamped cloth over bevelled boards decoratively stamped and lettered in gilt. 784 pp. Color frontispiece + 10 plates, some tinted.  Covers a bit worn and rubbed along extremities of binding, hinges weak. A complete work on the origin , extent, resouces, and development of the Mississippi Valley.
