Truly a rare example of an Opaque 2 piece, hand-blown, hand-painted 1850’s 2 piece Urn or Vase.

The top fits nice and tight into the base with the original brass rings.

 

Completely hand-painted with a RARE scalloped gold-leaf edge on the top section and with autumn leafs and flowers (browns/pink/rose/gold/blues/greens) surrounding the entire piece.

The bottom is also hand-painted with teardrops and stars on the stem believing this might be an early piece of Mt. Washington Glass.

 

She measures approximate…18 ½ inches tall-7 ½ inches in diameter.

Colors…opalescence in the lightest green shade.

 

Condition…no chips/repairs or cracks…some loss to the gild edges

 

 Up for auction is a finely executed Cut Velvet art glass vase dating from the latter quarter of the 19th Century.  Accenting this exceptional example is a beautiful aqua-blue coloration with well defined vertical ribbing.  The vase is 8 5/8 inches high and is in excellent condition with no damage.  THIS EARLY RARE PIECE ART GLASS VASE THAT IS IN A FREEHAND STYLE AND IS SIGNED WITH AN EARLY MARK ON THE BASE.

THIS IS A RARE PIECE IN A PURPLE LUSTER COLBALT BLUE, FLUTED TOP AND WAS MADE IN THE EARLY 1900’S IN A RARE SIZE.

 Toothpick holder of Victorian era cylinder form made from milk glass with hand-painted stork motif.  Circa 1895 in age.  Measures approximately 2.25" in height.  There is a bit of rim edge roughness comprised of tiny size nicks primarily on the inside rim edge.  This toothpick holder is from an extensive collection of toothpick holders which are now available for sale. If you have questions and/or would like a shipping quote please inquire.  Toothpick holder of 'ONE-O-ONE' pattern glass in opal color made by Challinor, Taylor and Company circa 1891.  The toothpick holder is in fine condition with a very small oval shaped shallow surface flaw which when examined under a magnifying glass shows it was done in the making at the factory.  This inflection can be seen on the lower part of one of the jewel shaped protrusions in the first image below.  This toothpick holder is one of a very large collection of toothpick holders which is now available for sale. The edge of the top is highlighted with a thin brown painted band.  Possibly made by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. of New Bedford, Mass. and decorated by Smith Brothers of New Bedford, Mass.  Circa 1890 in age and measuring approximately 2.5" in height.  Marked on the underside with the collection number '340' and initials 'V.W.' in gold.  There is also remnants of a sticker. Here is a beautiful American Victorian silverplated amberina celery vase. The insert is decorated with brightly enameled flowers, leaves and a bird. It is 8" in height. The resilvered frame was manufactured by Tufts #2457.  This is a cute American Victorian silverplated pickle castor. The enameled blue insert is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The resilvered frame was manufactured by Rogers & Bros. #259.  This is a rare American Victorian silverplated blue satin pickle castor. The beautifully enameled insert is decorated with leaves and flowers. The frame is original to the insert and features the same catalog number stamped inside the lid and on the bottom of the frame. The silver on the frame has a beautiful patina. It was manufactured by Tufts #3608.  This is an elegant Victorian art glass rose bowl. The blurina vase shades from a lovely blue to clear and features delicate enameled dasies and leaves. There are no chips, cracks or loss of enameling.

A great American Victorian silverplate celery vase. The pattern glass insert is called Tree of Life which is highly collectible. The insert is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The inserts are etched with detailed flowers and leaves. They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The resilvered frame is 12" in height. The manufacture's mark is Meriden B. #185.  This is a richly colored American Victorian silverplate pigeon blood pickle castor. The paneled insert sits in a cute 8" tall resilvered frame. The manufacturer's mark is CB Parker #700.  This is a beautiful American Victorian silverplate enameled sapphire blue pickle castor. The lid matches the base. The resilverd frame is 11½" in height and features an ornate figural fan and flowers extending from the handle. There are no tongs. The manufacturer's mark is LB #741  This is an American Victorian silverplate pickle castor. It is one of a large collection of recently purchased castors. The clear paneled insert is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The resilvered frame is 10¾" in height and there is some pitting where the insert rests on the frame. This can not be seen unless the insert is removed from the frame. There is no fork. The manufacturer's mark is Meriden B. #11.  This is a great all original Mount Washington Crown Milano Sweetmeat. The insert is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or loss of enameling. The bale and handle have not been resilvered. The inside of the lid is stamped MW.

This is a lovely American Victorian white opalescent windows toothpick holder. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  This is a nice American Victorian pattern glass biscuit barrel which rests in a silverplated frame. The insert is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The resilvered frame is 11½" in height. The manufacturer's mark is Meriden B. #15.  This is a pretty Victorian silverplated blue cone pickle castor. The insert has a few tiny flea bite rim chips but no major chips or cracks. The lid features a cute begging pug. The picture does not show the detail of the dog well. The resilvered frame is 13" in height and has some minor central pitting where the insert sits. The manufacturer's mark is Rockford #630  This is a darling American Victorian pickle castor featuring a matching lid and frame. The insert is decorated with small enameled flowers and leaves. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks but does have a tiny fleck of flint and some minor wear to the the gold. The resilvered frame and lid does have some rough pitting which does not detract from this castor. It is 10" in height. The manufacturer's number is #263.
