Linen and handmade lace hankie circa 1900. This white linen and lace hankie measures a dainty 10 inches square, the handmade bobbin lace is hand stitched to the fabric, there is a little row of finely done drawnwork and in one corner a hand embroidered BT mono. This hankie is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.  Linen hanky with handmade drawnwork lace circa 1940. This white linen hany measures 10.5 inches square, there are 2 rows of hand drawn lace. This hanky is in excellent condition; I have washed and pressed it.  Silk hand embroidered hanky circa early 1900s. This cream silk hanky measures 12 inches square, the scalloped edges are hand embroidered, 2 corners have hand embroidered cranes and 2 have lovely butterflies in pink and green pastels. This hanky is in good as found condition, there are some light stains.  Cotton Civil War era hanky hand embroidered circa 1860s. This cream and red hanky measure 14 inches square, the hems are hand stitched with teensy little stitches, there are hand embroidered red dots at the edges and corners. This hanky looks seldom used, the age spots should soak out without a problem, very good as found condition.

Linen hanky with hand embroidered flowers circa about 1900. This cream linen hanky measures 12.5 inches square, the hems are hand stitched, each corner has a beautifully hand embroidered group of flowers in white, brown, green and red, very lovely handwork! This hanky is in excellent as found condition.  Unused linen hankie with finely hand embroidered Monogram circa 1800s. This hanky measures 14.5 inches square, the hems are hand stitched with a row of drawnwork and tiny little almost invisible stitches, in one corner are the hand embroidered initials AFS, the letters have very fine details like sanding with little vines and flowers around them, gorgeous handwork! The hankie is in excellent, clean, unused condition. There were 12 of these hankies, all from the same estate, with the same initials but the design of the initials was done differently on each hanky, beautiful, skilled handwork and great attention to detail on these!  Lovely fine linen and hand embroidered hankie circa late 1800s. This white linen hankie measures 13.5 inches square, the scalloped edges are hand embroidered. there are flowers, leaves with drawnwork veins in each corner done in fine hand embroidery, beautiful, skilled handwork! The mesh as well as the designs of the lace are hand made, this hanky is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. This is a lovely piece!

Cotton and lace wedding hankie circa 1930s. This cream hankie measures 13 inches square, the lace is hand stitched to the fabric, there is a hand embroidered appliqué in one corner. Unused Madeira Hand embroidered linen hankie in original packaging from Dalls Limited in Vancouver circa 1930s. This white linen hankie measures 12 inches square, the finely hand embroidered flowers in the corners and drawn work are quite lovely. Dalls was an importer of fine linens and laces in Canada in the 1930s, the original Dalls paper folder for the hanky has one little tear where the flap tucks in, it is otherwise intact, the hanky is in excellent unused condition.  Handmade Brussels lace and linen hankie signed M J Snell, circa 1880-1900. This cream linen and lace hankie measures 12 inches square, the lace is hand stitched to the linen, the signature is in the center of the hanky in old ink. There is a stain in one of the corners, the hanky is otherwise in good as found condition.  Mens cotton hankie with lace circa mid 1800s. This cream and red hankie measures 22 by 23 inches including the lace which is hand stitched to the hankie with teensy little stitches. There is a small hole in the lace, the hanky is otherwise in excellent as found condition, it is a museum de-accession. Early mens hankies are relatively rare.  Hand embroidered linen hankie circa mid 1800s. This cream linen hankie measures 15.5 inches square, all the stitching is done by hand, the corners have pretty drawnwork and hand embroidered flowers and leaves, lovely handwork. This hanky is a museum de-accession, it is in excellent as found condition.

Hand embroidered linen hankie mid 1800s $75.00
Lovely whitework embroidered hankie signed Sophie Bourne in the center circa 2nd quarter of the 1800s. This cream hankie measures 16.5 by 17 inches, it has lovely hand embroidered whitework with little teensy needle lace filling stitches in the flower centers and interesting drawnwork and appliquéd squares in the corners. I have taken a pic with my pinky finger in it to show how fine the handwork is, the signature is in old ink in the center of the hanky. There are about a dozen small holes in the fabric, I have pictured some of the largest ones which are quite small, the hanky is otherwise in good condition.  Irish linen wedding hankie with lace circa mid 1900s. This white linen hankie measures 10 inches square including the lovely lace border. There is a small light stain, the hanky is otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed it.  Irish linen hankie with hand crochet lace trim circa 1930-50s. This white linen hankie measures 14 inches square including the lace which is hand stitched to the linen. This hanky is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.  Pretty handmade whitework hankie signed MM Lorraine, circa about mid 1800s. This hanky measures aprox 16 inches square, the hems are hand stitched, each corner has a hand embroidered bouquet of flowers with scrolls, stems and leaves, fine handwork, in one corner over the embroidery is the name M.M. Lorraine written in ink. There are holes in the center fabric that can be seen in the pictures, still its a lovely signed piece.

Early whitework and lace hankie with monogram circa 1st half of the 1800s. This hankie measures 20 inches square including the narrow 1/3 inch deep lace which is handmade, looks like Bucks point. There is a tag on the hankie that reads "hanky of Mrs. Lee, the stylized monogram is difficult to read but it looks like H or AJL to me. The hand embroidered whitework is pretty. This hanky is in fair-poor condition, there are several holes and splits in the fabric, the lace is mostly good. This would be an interesting piece for study.  This is a linen hankie with handmade Point de Gaze lace circa 1880-1900. This diminutive hanky measures 9 inches square, the fabric is a fine linen lawn with Point de Gaze lace hand stitched at the edge with tiny almost invisible stitches, in one corner is a point de gaze flowers, very pretty, the hanky is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.  This is a linen hanky with hand crochet lace from the mid 1900's, it measures 11 inches square and is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.  This is a lovely linen hanky with hand embroidered flowers and drawn work from the mid 1900's. This hanky measures 10 inches square, the hems are turned and stitched by hand, all 4 corners have raised hand embroidered dainty little flowers. The hanky is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it.
