Handmade embroidered linen runner c1930s. This white and taupe linen runner measures 15 by 38 inches, the organic floral designs are embroidered by hand. There is a tiny dark stain (looks like dark ink) and a pea sized light brown stain, the runner is otherwise in good condition, I have washed and pressed it. This cream linen tablecloth measures 44 by 45 inches, the design elements are organic with a grape theme. The embroidery and lace is all done by hand. The tablecloth is in excellent condition; I have washed and pressed it. The linen has a substantial feel, this would be great for wine tastings!  Handmade embroidered linen runner Italian c1930s. This white and taupe linen runner measures 16 by 31 inches, the organic floral designs are embroidered by hand. The color in the pics makes the embroidery have a green tint, this is not the case, the embroidery is definitely taupe. This runner is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen has a soft, drapey substantial hand to it.

Handmade lace and linen and embroidered runner Italian c1930s. This cream and taupe runner measures 16 by 40 inches, it is heavily hand embroidered with an organic floral design with needle lace between the design and at the edges, lovely handwork. There are a couple broken bridges in the lace it is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen has a substantial feeling.  Vintage nautical Porthault king sheet set cotton c1970s. This king size royal blue and white sheet set consists of 2 shams measuring 24 by 32 (takes a pillow 20 by 28 inches) and a sheet 104 by 124 inches. All 3 pieces have the red Porthault label. The shams each have an embroidered rope design in one corner in green and white thread, the design is set up so the embroidery would be in opposite sides of the bed to frame the pillows. The sheet has the same rope design going across the top and down the sides for a long turndown. This set is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The cotton fabric is very soft and smooth, only the best is used in Porthault! Porthault is the linen of Kings, presidents, and nobility; Jackie O used Porthault linens!  7949 Fine early hand made linen sheet crown monogram dated 1791. This fine white linen sheet measures 68 by 92 inches, in one corner in blue thread is a finely cross stitched CSL and under it the date 1791 and under that the number 4, in another corner in red thread is a crown and the initials JJ 13. The crown means that this sheet belonged to nobility. Note the incredibly tiny, precise hand stitches, the work of an accomplished seamstress, beautiful hand work! There is a slight fray at one corner and a bit of faint staining that can just see in one of the pictures, the sheet is otherwise in remarkable condition, I have washed and pressed it. The weaving is top notch with the threads closely placed, so the result is a smooth fine fabric, not at all coarse.  Fine early handmade linen duvet cover dated 1791. This fine white linen duvet measures 50 by 70 inches, centered at the top in blue thread is a finely cross stitched CSL and under it the date 1791 and under that the number 4, on the other side of the cases are the initials JJ 13 in red. . Note the interesting 18th century detail in the reinforcement of the opening done in needle lace stitches, back then, they made everything to last a very long time and took the time to turn over all the seam so there would be no raveling of the threads. So much pride in workmanship! The stitches are quite tiny and each one placed just so, the work of an accomplished seamstress. This duvet is in remarkable condition, museum worthy; I have washed and pressed it. The weaving is top notch with the threads closely placed, so the result is a smooth fine fabric, not at all coarse. Yes, they did make duvet covers back then, they have been making them for hundreds of years!

Fine early hand woven linen sheet crown monogram c1700s. This finely woven cream linen sheet measures 64 by 98 inches, the hems are hand stitched with tiny precise little stitches, there is a flat center seam and a small red hand embroidered JJ 20 with a cross stitched crown above it. The crown means that this sheet belonged to nobility. The weaving is top notch with the threads closely placed, so the result is a smooth fine fabric, not at all coarse. There is a hand done darn of about an inch near the center and a small faint stain, the sheet is otherwise in remarkable condition, I have washed and pressed it. This sheet has that certain soft, supple cool hand that only early line has. All the linens I got from this collection are 18th century.  Early hand woven linen sheet circa last quarter 1700s. This light cream linen sheet measures 64 by 88 inches, the hems are hand stitched with tiny precise little stitches, there is a flat center seam and a small red hand embroidered JJ 10 in one corner. This came from a collector who specialized in early linens. This sheet is in remarkable condition, it looks to have seen little use. The linen is soft and supple, with the cool hand that early linen has. I have washed and pressed it. All the linens I got from this collection are 18th century.  Fine linen sheet set all hand stitched embroidered c1920s. This peach linen sheet set consists of 3 pieces a sheet 84 by 138 and 2 shams 31 by 33 inches (takes a 27 inch square pillow), the set will fit a queen bed. The linen is extremely fine quality ALL hand stitched even the shams. The set has a lovely hand embroidered monogram that reads EC on the sheet and each sham, the shams close with 6 mother of pearl buttons on the back with hand stitched buttonholes. The sheet has lovely finely hand embroidered flowers across the top the shams have the embroidery all the way around, beautiful hand work. There are some slight color differences overall which is not unusual in antique linens with color, the set is otherwise in excellent condition; I have washed and pressed it. The linen is finely woven and buttery soft, summer weight.  Fine linen sheet queen size with provenance c1920s. This peach linen sheet measures 94 by 116 inches. The hems are hand hemmed with tiny hemstitching, the linen is of the finest quality, with a smooth, cool, buttery hand. There is a faint pink smudge near the bottom about an inch long, the sheet is otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. Belgian linen handmade lace breakfast set unused c1940. This ivory linen and lace set consists of a tray cloth measuring 16 by 22 inches and 2 napkins 11.5 inches square. The set is all handmade with the lace and all stitching done by hand, they still have the paper labels. This set is in excellent, unused condition, there are some smudges from long storage that willw ash out. A fine quality linen and handmade lace set!  Belgian linen and lace cocktail napkins unused with tags c1940. This set consists of 12 ivory colored fine linen cocktail napkins with handmade Belgian lace. These napkins measure 5 by 7.5 inches, they still have their original paper labels that state "handmade in Belgium" and "pure linen". All the stitching and drawnwork is done by hand. This towel isn’t the soft fluffy terry we know today, it is substantial with a slightly rough texture which was meant to stimulate the skin for a brisk rub dry and dry is the word as modern cotton towel do not absorb water as well as the old ones do, this towel will get you dry in a hurry! They just don’t make them like this anymore. This towel in in excellent condition, I have washed and sanitized it for todays use. Early cotton terry bath towel with Prove $25.00
Homespun linen blend bath sheet, towel circa 2nd half 1800s. This oatmeal colored bath sheet towel measures 42 by 61 inches, the ends are hand stitched, there is a EG90 cross stotched in turkey red in one corner. The fabric in the towel is heavy and substantial with a nubby texture that is very stimulating when rubbed against the skin, it will get you dry in a hurry as nothing absorbs water the way antique linen does! This oversized towel is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. This towel will last a lifetime!  Early cotton terry bath towel with Provenance c1900. This white linen tablecloth measures 42 inches square, very classic damask pattern. This tablecloth is in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed it. The linen has a substantial feel to it.  Gorgeous vintage D Porthault queen sheet cotton silver fans. This pristine white sheet with light peach and silver embroidered fans measures 92 by 124 inches. The sheet has the older red Porthault label so I would place this in the 70s. My pictures really don’t do this sheet justice, the fabric is incredibly soft and supple, only the best from world famous Porthault! There is a very well done repair on one edge where the embroidery begins, I didn’t notice it until I was ironing it where I check things thoroughly and though the repair is pictured, you can’t see it. The sheet is otherwise in excellent condition; I have washed and pressed it. It’s getting harder to locate vintage Porthault bed linens, this one is quite fab!

These white linen napkins measure 20 by 22 inches, the damask design is organic with chrysanthemums, there is a hand embroidered LB monogram in one corner of each napkin. These napkins are in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them.  11 Linen damask napkins with Provevance circa 1900. These white linen napkins measure 14 inches square, the hems are hand stitched, the damask pattern is organic with lovely flowering vines trailing along a lattice fence, there is a small hand embroidered EB monogram in one corner for Emily Meyers Bendit. I will send the provenance along with the napkins. There are a few stains on one napkin, the rest are in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen has a substantial feel to it.  5 Linen damask napkins circa 1930. These white linen napkins measure 14 inches square, the hems are hand stitched. The damask design id organic with stylized flowers. These napkins are in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen has a substantial feel to it.  6 Handloomed fringed linen damask tea napkins provenance c1890. These white and blue linen napkins measure 12 inches square, there is a lattice pattern worked in blue thread and a teapot in one corner with a hand embroidered monogram that reads MBE for Emily Meyers Bendit. I will send the provenance along with the napkins. One napkin has a small stain and one has a small hand darn, they are otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen has a substantial feel to it.

4 Linen Art Deco damask tea napkins circa 1920. These white linen napkins measure 12 inches square, the hams are hand stitched, interesting design. These napkins are in very good condition, I have washed and pressed them. The linen has a substantial feel to it.  3 Linen doilies with hand embroidery scalloped edges c1920. These white doilies measure 9 inches in diameter, the scalloped edges are hand embroidered with little swag and cytwork flower designs around the edge, fine embroidery work. There is a spec on 1 doily, they are otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them.  6 Linen handkerchiefs hankies hand embroidered BT mono c1900. These white linen hankies measure 14 inches square, the hems are hand stitched, there is a small hand embroidered BT monogram on one corner of each. 1 hanky has a small stain, 1 has a few faint stains the hankies are otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them.  10 Linen damask napkins hand embr. BLJ mono c1900. These cream linen napkins measure 14 inches square, the hems are hand stitched, one corner has a hand embroidered BLJ monogram, the damask design is organic with vines and leaves, fine quality fabric. 4 napkins have a few broken bridges in the drawn work edge, they are otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed them.

This high quality Blue linen sheet measures 86 by 100 inches (it will fit a queen mattress with a 13 inch drape on each side), the top hem has a row of hem stitching. These ecru and white linen goblet rounds measure 7 inches in diameter the lace is the finest handmade Italian needle lace hand stitched to very high quality linen, they look like Porthault to me and considering that this estate had the best quality items and were even stored in the best (a Goyard trunk no less) I do believe it’s likely that they are Porthault. The family name is Iselin of the America’s Cup fame. There is a stain on the lace of one that is pictured, they are otherwise in excellent condition, I have washed and pressed them. These are the same as item # 7358 except the lace is a slightly lighter color.

Fine linen damask tablecloth napkins Wanamaker family c1920. This white linen set consists of a tablecloth measuring 90 by 94 inches and 8 napkins 25 by 27 inches. The linen is of the finest quality, the hams are hamd stitched with tiny stitches and a row of drawnwork, each napkin has a small RW monogram in the corner, the tablecloth has 2 monograms in the center that read RW for Rodman Wanamaker, Rodman was the son of John Wanamaker the founder of the Wanamaker stores. Wanamakers was considered the first department store in Philadelphia, they were known for luxury goods, particularly from France. The Wanamaker family was quite wealthy and well known, the linens from the estate were of the finest quality and with the family monogram is truly a fine piece of history! The set is in excellent condition, it appears to have been seldom used, I have washed and pressed it. The Wanamaker family was quite wealthy and well known, the linens from the estate were of the finest quality and with the family monogram is truly a fine piece of history! 3 of the napkins have well done hand darns, one has a couple of small stains, they are otherwise in very good condition, I have washed and pressed them.
