Measuring 6 inches across, this World War II era Mid century American dinnerware lot consists of three Luray 6 inch plates in excellent condition, and one yellow fruit bowl. Price is for the lot of 4 pieces. The color was originally called Persian Cream. They carry date stamps of 1948, 1950, 1950 and 1952. All are marked on the back. This lot is a good bargain and a great starter set. Break out the pork chops, goulash or baked beans! Add it to your American dinnerware collection today.  This is a striking Bitossi Italy vase using the very popular sgrafitto technique popular in the 1950s. This vase most likely was part of the Raymor line of imported Italian pottery and ceramics. It stands 10 5/8 inches tall and is 4 1/4 inches wide at the base. The heavy red base clay is glazed in a whitish tan glaze. Using sgrafitto incising, the decorator created a large Egyptian figure carrying two pots. There are also three cartouches on the back where the clay has been carved out and enamel dots have been added. The condition is very good considering this type of decoration is quite fragile. There is a small flake at the rim that happened long ago. I see no other damage. There are areas of the vase where the sgrafitti left some areas without the white underglaze but this is not damage. The colors of the figure are yellow, orange, blue, red, green with a pink face, brown body and hair. I have not seen many other Mid century Bitossi pieces with this decoration. The base also carries the initials VP. It appears that the botte vase may have had a cork as there is still one inside the vase. Add it to your Mid century Italian pottery collection today.  Helen Kish's 2010 12 inch Floral Revelry Bethany doll is from the Chrysalis collection and is ball jointed in 13 places. She has painted blue eyes and a pale blonde wig styled in a classic bob. She is wearing a sleeveless dress with a two tiered skirt of floral design on a black ground and black and tan stripes (matching her bodice). Her red wool felt bolero jacket is decorated with floral and geometrical details, fixed with tiny beads. Completing her ensemble are black boots over black tights and a crisp toque mirroring the gray, red and burgundy in her jacket with embellishments of the same floral design front and center. Made in the USA  Vermont Studio potter Stanley Ballard (1917-1960) graduated from Alfred University’s highly respected Ceramic Program in 1939, having studied there under these influential teachers: Marion Fosdick, Charles Harder, Clarence Merritt, and C. Katherine Nelson. From 1937-1939 he was a classmate of Glidden Parker. He had his studio in Burlington Vermont from 1946 -1960 until his untimely tragic death in February 1960. Produced by Vermont Mid-Century studio potter Stanley Ballard who worked in the Burlington area, this #8 biomorhpic bowl was referred to in Ballard's brochure as a Birdwing bowl. It measures 8 1/4 inches long x 6 inches wide. Ballard often used this form for his rare decorated pieces, including the Horse, Fish and Chicken pattern as well as two wild abstract patterns. The color of this #8 Birdwing bowl is one of his early glazes. It is what I call cedar green. It is in excellent condition. Add it to your American Art Pottery or Ballard Pottery collection today.

2010 Vogue 7.5 inch hard plastic Vintage Reproduction Birthday Celebration Ginny doll, No. 10SL098, from the Vintage Diana Vining-designed greeting card collection, has a long curly auburn wig with a center part, front curls, and two rose-pink ribbons, moving blue eyes, and painted lashes. She is wearing a festive dress for her special day with a satiny aqua skirt topped by deep pink netting and a rose-pink ribbon, and a white short puff sleeve cotto bodice with pastel polka dots, white with pastel polka dot bloomers, white socks, and rose pink center snap shoes. It includes a note card with a Ginny paper doll that says Happy Birthday. Limited edition of 350. New, mint-in-the-box with doll-sized comb and brush and certificate.  This turquoise World's Fair plate is known as The Potter At His Wheel. It was made at the 1940 World's Fair when the Homer Laughlin Company had a demostration kiln there. The plate is ink stamped on the back: Joint Exhibit Of Capital And Labor in a circle around the words The AMERICAN POTTER, NEW YORK World's Fair 1940. Though these are the easiest of the items made at the World's Fair by Homer Laughlin to find, they are still great Art Deco items for a discerning collector. The plate measures 7 1/4 inches in diameter. It features a raised design of potter in a Medeivial garb throwing a pot on a wheel. One sees the medieval town through the window behind the potter. It is in excellent shape. It is shown on page 240 of the Tenth Edition of the Huxford's 2005 book. For a value, they give a range of $40-$50. My price is much lower as I was able to buy this example quite reasonably. She is wearing a brown with circle print and tan checked with attached white apron with brown embroidery, brown with white circle print bloomers, matching bloomers, black tights, and black center-snap shoes. Limited edition of 350. New, mint-in-the-box with doll-sized comb and brush and certificate.  2010 Vogue 7.5 inch hard plastic Vintage Reproduction If You Love Me Ginny doll, No. 10EXSL08, is a Vintage Ginny Inspired by the Illustrations of Margaret Evans Price collection, has an auburn wig with bangs, loose curls and a side part, a black velveteen hat, moving brown eyes, and painted lashes. She comes with a white plush kitten with a red pillow and green bow. The rest of this Ginny's outfit consists of a red short-sleeve cotton dress with a white collar and white cuffs, red panties, a white petticoat, green and black check pinafore, white with red lace edging socks, and black center-snap shoes. Made in Bristol Vermont, this Moutain Kiln Pottery 5 inch tall ( to the top of the stopper) was made by either John F. Kennedy or Paul T. Kennedy, brothers who formed Green Mountain Wood Crafters in Charlotte Vermont in 1937 and worked there until a fire in 1942. Post WWII, they were located in Bristol Vermont until 1959. They moved into the former Sheffield Farms building on Route 22A in Vergennes in 1960, adding a gift shop where tourists were able to watch the wood ware being made. From 1960-1980 they had several retail locations in Florida, New York, New Hampshire but the most successful was in downtown Burlington at the corner of College and Church street, now Sweetwater's restaurant since 1980, though the Kennedy family still owns the building. The earliest piece I have heard of is a pitcher dated 1947. I do not yet know when the pottery stopped operating. I now know that whichever brother was not involved with the wooden ware Vergennes operation opened a store in New Haven, VT which was operating as late as 1971 when an acquaintance's grandmother stopped and bought some pottery marked as Pittsfield Potters there. In excellent condition, it is glazed in a light gray glaze with bluish tones. The base clay appears to be a white earthenware. It is marked with the incised initials MKP and Bristol, VT. Check out all of the photos for the great Fruits design.  Vintage Jadite Cup in the Jane Ray pattern. Most Cups are not marked but guaranteed as vintage and made by Fire King Anchor Hocking. All in very good condition- no damage. Priced each at  Vintage Blue Ridge (marked- see 2nd photo) 8 3/4" Serving or Vegetable Bowl. The Bowl is painted pink and has fine Gray lines painted on it. It is very nice. It is in excellent condition- no damage.  Beautiful and RARE Strawberry design on a White Milk Glass Lace Edge pattern 11" Bowl. Bowl was made by Anchor Hocking/Fire King. This is a footed Bowl (stemmed) and stands approx. 4 1/4" high. It is all in excellent condition- no chips or cracks and the design is in great condition. This is the first one of these I have seen in a lot of years except for a picture of one in a book!

The Rolling Pin is in excellent condition- no chips or cracks, has a a new cork cut to fit and only slight crazing on the ends on close inspection appropriate to it's age. No discoloration. The silver/platinum trim is in good condition.  Vintage Hazel Atlas Mugs with Currier and Ives scenes- two different scenes (see photos). Excellent condition- no chips or cracks and good paint on design. The price is for the pair at  Precious Moments Inc. 2010 All Vinyl 9 inch Christmas Enchanted Cinderella doll, No. 3464, is from the beloved fairy tale character. Cinderella has pale blonde hair in a bun encircled by a red ribbon trimmed with gold braid, green painted tear-drop shaped eyes, red earrings, and a smiling mouth. She is wearing a festive holiday costume of long white satin ballgown with shiny gold and red bead trim, and a red overdress with gold edging, a white net petticoat edged with red lace, and gold shoes. This is a Linda Rick of The Doll Maker Disney design. New and mint with a gift box.  This approximately 38 inch All-Cloth 1963-1982 Knickerbocker Raggedy Ann doll has been previously owned, loved, and cared for. If her wig is taken into consideration she measures 40 inches or more; this is a rare very large Raggedy Ann. She has staining that looks like water marks on her face and a smaller stain on one her arms as evidence of past adventures. Otherwise her body is reasonably clean and free of unpleasant odors. She has all of her red yarn hair in excellent condition, black button eyes, a triangular red screened nose, and screened smile with all of her features and her screened 'I love you' heart on her body. The painted features on his face are rosy and clear. She does not have any holes or tears that I can find. She is wearing a pastel floral print dress, apron with its clear and legible Knickerbocker tag and original blue ribbon ties, and pantaloons. The pantaloons and apron's elastic have stretched some. Her legs are red and white striped like stockings with black shoes. Doll is in good condition, while totally original outfit is excellent and highly desirable. Price is reduced because of the face soil; value of doll would be much greater if she was not soiled, but this Raggedy Ann was simply too adventurous to keep clean; it is amazing her clothes are in such great shape. This Noritake Art Deco 7 3/4 inch wide tab handled plate features a very Art Deco sensibility. The main design is placed at the edge of the plate, creating asymmetricality and giving movement to the piece. That is aided by the tendril like white curving lines which flow across the piece. In fact, these are areas from which the typical blue luster glaze has been removed, thus negative space. The central blossom measures almost 2 1/2 inches by itself. Black lines radiate out of the center. The blue center is surrounded by give green circles, surrounded by give yellow petals, surrounded by six white and orange petals. There are four other partial blossoms, suing orange, blue, pink, yellow, purple and green tones. Gold rimmed, it is signed with the blue Cherry Blossom mark, which is a Noritake Company mark. Expand listing to view all 5 photographs.  Shown on page 53 of Heacock's 1000 book as plate 251, this plain patterned clear glass toothpick holder was primarily produced for the souvenir trade. It is thought that this toothpick holder may have been produced until 1970. This one stands 2 1/2 inches tall. The main ruby staining is a panel upon which the words Ella and 1925 are written. The enamel flowers are reminiscent of the type used by Jefferson Glass but are a bit less skillfully done. In any case, it is a good example of American pattern glass from the 20th century. It stands 2 1/8 inches tall x 2 1/2 inches wide. This particular example has ruby staining on the Panels. The staining is a bit worn. I would say it is at 80-85%. The glass is excellent on this toothpick holder. It is shown on page 47 of the Bredehoft book. The value they give for the ruby stained version is $140.00. My price is WAY under that given the condition of the toothpick holder and the fact that I bought it very reasonably. I don't collect ruby stained toothpick holders, so I am happy to pass it along to another collector. It includes a 12 inch Key to My Heart Alice in Wonderland doll, a 9 inch Precious Moments Queen of Hearts, a 9 inch Precious Moments Mad Hatter doll, and a 5 inch Precious Moments White Rabbit. Alice is all-vinyl with long blonde hair with bangs with a large black bow, and painted blue eyes with lashes. She is wearing a blue taffeta dress embroidered in black at the hemline and topped by a white taffeta apron with black piping black and white stockings, black shoes, and white pantaloons. He is wearing green paints, a brown coat, black vest, oversized green shoes, and of course, his tall green hat with 10/6 patch and brown band. The 5 inch Precious Moments White Rabbit doll is all vinyl with pale blonde platinum hair under a white rabbit ears hat, brown teardrop shaped eyes, and a smiling face. He is wearing a red satin jumpsuit with a white lace collar and white satin shield-like covering with heart motifs on the front and back, and white shoes and hands. This set is limited to 72 pieces of each character. 3 Precious Moments gift boxes are included with Alice and the rabbit fitting together in the large one. New, mint.  Tonner Aragorn or Strider, Lord of the North doll or character figure, No. T10LRDD02, from Lord of the Rings. The doll has the head scuplt of the actor, Viggo Mortensen, who played him in the movies. The doll has the 17 inch Matt O'Neill jointed body with long brown hair, a beard, painted blue eyes, and pointed elfish ears. Along with the other 8 members of the Fellowship of the Ring, he travelled through the vast lands of the Middle-Earth in hopes of destroying the one ring of Sauron. He is wearing a replica of his costume in the movie including a cotton shirt, distressed imitation leather jerkin, slim-cut trousers, leather-like belt that attached to his sword's scabbard, distressed boots with lace-up detailing, fingerless gloves, and highly-detailed imitation leather jacket. Expand listing to view all 3 photographs.  These funky and highly collectibles mixing bowls were sold as a set in three sizes. They were made in Dallas, Texas by the Texas Ware Plastics & Manufacturing Company and are so marked in embossed letters on the bottom of each bowl. This is the Texas Ware #125 olive green speckled mixing bowl in excellent vintage condition. Its main shade is a deep olive green. It has secondary inclusions of chocolate brown, red, and white but its main colors are daffodil yellow and black, which are stunning on the green background. It has very little wear in its center when tipped to the light and retains 90 percent of the original glossy finish inside. Gorgeous glossy finish on the outside. FREE of chips, cracks, burns OR discoloration. You will NOT be disappointed!! Background on the line: The largest bowl, the #125 measures 11 1/4 inches across and stands 5 1/4 inches tall. The middle bowl #118 measures 9 3/4 inches across and stands 4 1/2 inches tall. The smallest bowl #111 measures 8 inches across and stands 4 inches tall. Recently one has seen a Texas Ware vintage speckled Melmac bowl on the counter of Rachael Ray's TV kitchen. In fact, in late 2007, Food Network is now having produced and marketing a "Garbage Bowl" in a deep pumpkin color under the Rachael Ray name. Crate & Barrel has also put out a set of melmac bowls under the line ZAK, but they just can't compare to the originals!  Here is a whimsical modern stoneware piece from David Gil at Bennington Potters in Vermont, which dates pre-1960 as that is the year they starting marking their pieces with shape numbers but not including the original Cooperative Design name in the mark. This plate carries the number 1240. . It is the same shape as pieces I own which carry the original Raymor line label. This 6 1/4 inch round x 3/4 inch deep plate with rough unglazed bottom has glazed sides at the rim and is signed with an early large version of the Cooperative Design Bennington Potters mark. The piece features a very stylized and abstract design of four rows of colored dots in black circles separated by black lines done in shades of pumpkin orange, teal, daffodil yellow and a purplish blue color on a glossy white glaze. A great fun and funky piece in excellent condition. Looks likes lots of olives ready for a retro vintage martini! David Gil's work in Bennington Vermont started in 1948. It evolved into a co-operative of different art potters and used the mark Design Cooperative until around 1960. They are among the few American studio potteries that turned into production potteries in the midcentury.
