One of the few ways to obtain a 1979-S BU SBA Dollar as these were NOT included in regular US Treasury Mint Sets.

<font color=red>The scarcity of this set is due to the 1979-P dated SBA Dollar being the Wide Rim or Near Date variety. In the eleven years operating our coin business and specializing in the modern coin series, we have literally bought and sold several thousand SBA Souvenir Sets. And this set, is only the fourth such set including a Wide Rim 1979-P SBA Dollar sealed in cello that we have ever come across. The last time we had one of these, we offered in an eBay auction format back in 2008 starting at 99 cents and that set finished its 3-day auction run selling to the winning bidder at $137.50. I have no idea what is a fair value. What I do know is, these are extremely difficult to find so we are in no hurry to sell this item, especially considering it is anyone's guess when we will stumble across another such set.  This was made by the U. S. Glass Co. in 1889. This is the clear with some gold on the rim, toothpick holder. In great condition. It is electric and has what I would call a hot plate in the bottom. Handle and feet are black bakelite with the outside being chrome over brass. It comes with a metal brew basket to make the coffee and a cord. I am not sure if the cord is original to the pot. I plugged it in and the water got hot very quickly so it seems to work OK. As with any vintage electric appliance, I would suggest you have it checked out before using. Great item and very unusual. It is in very good condition- there are a few marks on the chrome- minor.
