This listing is for the hard cover book, Sam Lamb Moves Away, Volume 3 in Raggedy Ann and Andy's Grow-and-Learn Library. It has 44 pages with large print and color illustrations on each page. This was copyrighted by Macmillan, Inc. in 1988, and published by Lynx Books. The characters and drawings are based on the creations of Johnny Gruelle.  The book is preowned and only gently used. There are no detectable flaws. The book is meant for a young child to read, though it is also good to read to a child. Sam Lamb is a story about friendship. Sam Lamb is Marcella's gift to her visiting cousin. The dolls miss Sam and keep in touch via messages sent via their friends, the sparrows. Sam makes new friends, but misses them too, and they keep in touch. When the people are away the dolls, stuffed animals, and young animals come to life and talk and interact with one another in drawings like classical ones. Pre-owned, excellent, has all pages and cover, is tightly bound.  Johnny Gruelle's Hardcover Book, Raggedy Ann Betsy Bonnet String, Written and Illustrated by Johnny Gruelle, copyrighted and printed in 1943. Johnny Gruelle Company is the publisher of this First Edition book. This book is complete with its original color and black-and-white drawings. It has all of its 96 pages, its cover, all black and white and color pictures. It is in fair condition. The top cover and pages of the book have spots from water damage, but still has story, pictures, and easily turning pages. This book is rarer than most Raggedy Ann books, but pricing reflects this book's flaws. The book is still readable and complete. Johnny Gruelle's Hardcover Book, Raggedy Ann in the Magic, was written by Johnny Gruelle, and illustrated by his son, Worth Gruelle, copyrighted and printed in 1939. Johnny Gruelle Company is the publisher of this First Edition book. This book is complete with its original color and black-and-white drawings, and it contains 92 pages. There are no numbered pages in this early edition. It contains a story about the Raggedy dolls, the toys, and the magical fairy tale characters in the deep woods. The dolls and toys come to life whenever Marcella and her family are either away or asleep, and sometimes they go to the Deep Woods or other outside locations. Tightly bound, has all pages in very good condition. The cover has some minor fraying at the corners, and the name of a previous little owner and the gift givers are  written in pen on the inside title page, but other than that this is an exceptional and rare find. It contains charming stories of Raggedy Ann, Marcella, and the other dolls, and this first book tells of Raggedy Ann's arrival to live with Marcella and win her heart. It has stories of Raggedy Ann, Marcella, Marcella's family, and the other dolls and toys in the nursery. The dolls and toys come to life whenever Marcella and her family are away or asleep. This reprint was published before books had ISBN numbers. This first edition book was copyrighted in 1969 by the Bobbs-Merrill Co., Inc. and printed by Golden Press of Western Publishing Company. It contains 24 pages. The doll and toy characters are the same ones that Johnny Gruelle created in his Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy stories. It contains many charming illustrations. It was written for a very young child or new reader. The book has interest for a collector. This pre-owned book is in very good condition. Its only flaw is some scrapes on the back of the cover. The ISBN numbers are ISBN 13: 9780307580313 and ISBN 10: 0307580318. Its cover is in excellent condition, except for a very small wrinkle. This is a Golden 'Look-Look' book. Its story tells about Raggedy Ann's adventures when she attended the Carnival with Marcella where she got lost. The doll and toy characters in this book are based on the characters that Johnny Gruelle created. Pre-owned, excellent condition, and no unpleasant odors. The hardcover book, Raggedy Andy's Stories, was written and was illustrated by Johnny Gruelle. This book is from the 1960 printing with  large picture on a green cover, and it was copyrighted in 1920, 1947, and 1948. Bobbs-Merrill and Company is the publisher. This book is complete with its original color and black-and-white drawings. It contains 95 pages. It contains stories about Raggedy Andy, Raggedy Ann, Marcella, Marcella's father, and the other dolls and toys in the nursery. The dolls and toys come to life whenever Marcella and her family are away or asleep. This classic is in very good condition except for a spot on its cover which was once covered with a price tag. This reprint was published before books had ISBN numbers. Expand listing to view both photographs.  Magic Attic Club softcover book, 'The Ghost of Camp Whispering Pines' by Susan Korman, copyrighted in 1998, 1st Edition, and published by Magic Attic Press, is 77 pages long, designed for ages 7 up, and has illustrations by Gabriel Picard and Rich Grote. The book is based upon the same characters as the dolls that Robert Tonner designed. This book's story is about the adventures of the 4 Magic Attic Club friends at camp: Alison, Heather, Keisha, Megan, and Rose (first version when she was of Cheyenne Indian descent). New and mint condition. Expand listing to view both photographs.  The book offered is Rosemary Well's 1999 color version of the hardcover edition of 'Rachel Field's Hitty: Her First Hundred Years', and it has color illustrations by Susan Jeffers. Susan Jeffers' book, that this one revises and adds to, was first published in 1929, and it was a winner of the Newberry Award. This Rosemary Wells edition of the book has 112 pages. This edition has many of the stories from Rachel Field's 1929 book, but it also adds some variations in the adventures that coincide with other historical events. Some wording such as the terms 'heathens' and 'savages' have been changed to fit the language of Rosemary Wells' time in the 1990s. Rosemary Wells uses much of the first part of Hitty's doll life from Rachel Fields book, but she departs from the Civil War era story until the end of the book with different adventures. This version of the story mixes real historical characters with an exciting imaginative story that cannot be put down by either children or older readers. Its ISBN numbers are 10: 0689817169 and 13: 9780689817168. This gently used beautiful and interesting book is in like new and mint condition.
