The blades and tines are silver plated. The box contains two trays, each one holding a set of 6 knives and forks. Maker's mark is S. B. P. L. each in a different shield. These would date from mid 19th century. They actually appear to be more like close plate than electroplate, and it seems they may be plated on steel, not nickle. However they are marked EP. There is quite a lot of wear and damage to this set - you can get a passable set of 6 each from it, but some of the blades are wearing along the edges exposing the dark base metal. One knife especially is very worn. The forks are in generally much better condition. The handles have a few minor but visible splits, and there is some stain discolouration on a few of them. Knives are 20 cm long, forks are 17 cm long (8 inches and 6.3/4 inches). Shabby country house chic!

Very nice condition, and very nice looking butter or pickle server overall!
Offering this very nice silver plated gravy or sauce server with the one piece type construction, and a double spout. The lower plate is 6.5 diameter and the server is 2.8 tall overall. We polished some light tarnish of the silver, so we do know it is silver plated at least. There is a sticker on the bottom but the maker's name is worn off of it. The lower plate section has a nice rose of similar floral design pattern around the exterior. Very nice condition, and very nice looking server overall!

Fruit Bowl Silver Plate Hammer Polished Finish Italy
This is a top quality, fine finish silver plated fruit or center piece bowl with a lightly hammered finish as well are a multi-facetted form! It also has a very sturdy design with a heavy duty round bead around the top rim. The bowl is marked DS DIONI ITALY SILVER PLATED on metallic stickers on the bottom. A very unique design, and in fine condition! When I first saw it, the bowl reminded me of mercury glass, as it has such a highly polished finish inside and out. The bowl is 3 tall x 10.5 diameter at the widest form. It weighs 1.6 pounds. Very nice, quality made! I am not sure if my pictures do it justice, but I know you will be please with it.
Attractive late Victorian bon bon dish with lattice and flowerhead design to the rim. Shaped like a heart, it stands on three scroll feet. Quite large, measuring about 20 cm diameter (8 inches). It has one area of wear on the dish (see photo), otherwise perfect. Maker is Thomas Latham and Earnest Morton, Birmingham, circa 1890s.
