This is a lovely piece of English useful silver in the form of a pedestal calling card basket or tray or cake basket used at tea parties I brought home from England recently. The basket measures 9 inches high incl. handle 3.5 inches without 9.75 inches in diameter, has a repousse scalloped rim and pierced sides and is marked Made In England EPNS and was made 1900-1910s. It is a very pretty piece and is in very good ++ condition with no dents. It was black but polished up well with some minor plate loss in the bottom from use. A wonderfully decorative piece.

An insulated silverplate water pitcher dated 1891. The pitcher or covered jug was made by Meriden and is Quadruple Plate silver. It is white enamel inside and has an ice lip. Beautifully decorated in the fashion of the daty, it has flowers and leaves in bands around the top and bottom. A rather industrial finial crowns the lid. Interesting are the small figures almost hidden under the lip. There are animals and birds and hunters and fishers. An added cartouche adorns the center front. It has the monogram L ? and the date October 28, 1891
This item is a wonderful Antique Silver Plate Wedding Basket with a hinged handle. This Wedding Basket appears to be in the Moselle Pattern and was possibly made by American Silver Company around 1906. There is a hallmark on the bottom of the Basket, but I can't identify it. This Basket has a scalloped type edge with grape and leaf designs around the entire outer rim. Below the rim are four (4) intricate cut designs which surround an etched center design. This large Wedding Basket is about 10 and 1/4 inches across. It is about 3 and 1/4 inches to the top ofd the basket itself and 9 inches to the top of the hinged handle. This Wedding Basket is in excellent condition.
This item is a lovely and elegant Silver Plated Pedestal Bowl. The bottom of the Bowl bears the hallmark of a lion, bell and fleur de lis over an arm with a hammer. This mark is that of the Barber Silver Company which was taken over by the International Silver Company in 1898. The hallmark dates this Bowl as to having been made between 1891 and 1921. This Bowl has a wonderful grape and leaf design around the entire edge, Below the edge and going all around the Bowl are cut geometric designs. This Bowl is about 10 and 3/4 inches across and 5 inches high. It is in excellent condition.

Elaborately decorated SILVER PLATED TEAPOT made by the Meriden Britannia Silver Company. It design features an ART NOUVEAU STYLING. The handle is stretched and it has a womans head. The four outstretched legs have a north wind bearded mans face. Other molded accents include: leaves and berries, birds and fountains. The MERIDEN B. COMPANY mark is impressed on the bottom along with the patent date and number 1521. The letter R is monogrammed on the front. It is ESTATE / USED. It has character and patina. I will leave it up to the buyer if they wish to clean it. A bit of information about the manufacture: The Meriden Britannia Company was formed in 1852 in Meriden , Connecticut . The Rogers Bros firm was purchased by Meriden Britannia in 1862, then acquiring the 1847 Rogers Bros line. In 1878, they had a store at Union Square in New York City and a manufacturing facility in West Meriden, CT. According to their 1878 catalog, the company won a first place medal at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania for the large variety of silver plated white metal hollow ware of excellent quality and finish, and of tasteful designs. They were one of the original companies that joined together to form the International Silver Co. in 1898.

This item is a lovely Cruet Set. The Tray, which holds the two Cruets, is Silverplate with a tall and ornate center handle. It is shaped like a banana, curved and tapered at both ends. This set has two (2) cut glass Cruets with cut glass stoppers. The Cruets have cut star and diamond designs on them. The stoppers have a star design cut into them. The Tray is about 7 and 1/2 inches long, 3 nd 1/2 inches across and 9 and 1/2 inches high to the top of the handle. The bottom of this Silverplate Tray is marked Baker Ellis Made in England and has a crown over an F. The Cut Glass Cruets are about 4 and 1/2 inches high and 1 and 3/4 inches across. Please note that one of the stoppers does not nest all the way inside the Cruet opening. This is attributed to a variation caused in in the glass making process. This Cruet Set is in excellent condition.

The clear 1 1/2 qt round Fire King baking dish with handles measures 3 inches high and is 8.25 inches in diameter or 9.5 inches wide including handles. The silver plate covered casserole dish, caddy or holder stands has a gadrooned rim and measures 7.5 inches high including finial and is 10.5 inches in diameter including handles which are a fancy floral design. All 3 pieces are in excellent condition with almost no wear. Could use a bit of polish though! Would cause a stir at your next pot luck or covered dish supper!

Vintage Oneida Silver Plate Floral Pattern Ice or Champagne Wine Bucket. Lovely old piece! Has a beautiful floral pattern on three sides, it is 9 1/2 inches tall by 9 inches across and is marked with Oneida USA on the bottom. It does have an engraving on the side, John and Karen Georgie, From your friends and associates, Northwest Group, March 6, 1993. The engraving is really light and not very noticeable, I think it could be professionally buffed out if desired. Estimated age on this piece is 1940's to 1950's, even though the engraved date is different think this was a vintage piece that was engraved. It is in good condition, no dings, does have some light use marks around the inner edge from the bottle neck when it was used and some random light age related marks on the outer body. It does show use on the inside, I have not attempted to thoroughly clean it so it may clean up. Overall a very nice old piece, perfect addition to your collection or silver serving pieces!

Beautiful and Hard to Find, Holmes & Edwards Silver Plate Spring Garden Large Tea Set Tray. This pattern was introduced by Holmes & Edwards Silver in 1949. This tray goes with the Coffee or Tea Service set, the coffee pot and cream and sugar pieces are relatively easy to find, the tray to the set is not. This tray is 20 inches by 13 1/2 inches and has four little feet, it is marked with Holmes & Edwards, Spring Garden, International Silver Company, 2080. It is in good condition, does have some light scratches on the surface from the serving pieces being slide across the tray, common in silver of this age. It could also be used as serving tray for meat if desired and would be a perfect addition to your set!
Beautiful William Rogers Silversmiths Plate Calla Lily Trivet Vintage New Condition. This is a lovely find! This is the Calla Lily pattern made by William Rogers Silver in 1980's. This pattern represents the calla lily in tones of gold and creamy white. It is vintage, never used, still in the box with original wrapping. It is about 10 inches long and about 8 1/4 inches across, in excellent condition, does have a couple of small paint skips on the finish. A lovely addition to your collection or table setting!
This is a beautiful Silverplate Bread Tray made by Wilcox International Silver Company. The underside of the Tray bears the Wilcox hallmark and the number 7119. This Tray is about 13 and 1/4 inches long; 7 and 1/2 inches across; and 1 and 1/2 inches high. Both ends of the Tray have a lovely repousse floral design. The Tray is in excellent condition.
A silverplated footed serving dish with 1.5 quart pyrex glass insert. It has 4 paw feet and a gadrooned edge. In very good condition, it shows a couple of very tiny black specks on the inside under the glass insert. Otherwise in excellent condition. Marked The Sheffield Silver Co. Made in USA EPC 1118.

Comes complete with the original glass ice liner. Lovely scroll and leaf pattern cared into the base metal and enhanced by the silver plate. Excellent condition. Glass liner has one small nick on the rim. Stands 5 tall by 8 1/2 across the pierced handles.

It is 10 inches across and about 2 1/4 inches deep, in good condition, does have a couple of dings along the bottom of the bowl and some slight wear to the silver in spots in the bottom of the bowl, still a beautiful piece! The back is marked with the Reed & Barton hallmark, EPNS, Reed & Barton, 1202. It would be a terrific addition to your collection!

A lovely antique silver worked basket with a twist handle and rim and oak leaf medallions all around. The silver basket supports a cobalt blue glass bowl. All in excellent condition and in an Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts style dating it to the first part of the 20th century of last part of the 19th. The silver bears no marks, and while it may be continental .800 silver, I will not state that positively, but call it silver plate. As the craftsmen of the time were saying: It is the art not the materials that should establish value. 6 x6

It is 9 1/2 inches long and about 1 3/4 inches deep, bottom is marked Silverplate England, is in lovely condition, no dents, does have some light use marks common in silver of this age and one spot in the bottom, think may need a bit of polish as it is not as shinny as the rest, could be a little bit of wear not sure. It would be a beautiful addition to your collection!

It is marked on the bottom Towle EP 2910 and has the remnants of the foil label although mostly polished away. A lovely addition to your table scape.
