Vintage Spade Aluminum Cookie Cutter With Green Wood Handle A
This is an antique or vintage aluminum cookie cutter with a green wood handle likely from the 1930s or 1040s, although we don't know the age for certain. It is in the shape of a spade from the symbol on playing cards. It measures about 2 3/8 inches wide, 2 5/8 inches long and sits about 2 inches in height to the aluminum top piece on the wood handle. This appears to be an aluminum rod which goes through the handle to the underside of the cookie cutter. The outer edges of the cutter are ridged or have a tight scalloping. The old cookie cutter is in very nice overall used shape. It is not mint and likely was used in baking cookies but the wear appears to be minimal. The aluminum portion has scratches, scuffs and other signs of wear but not bad at all. The wood handle is in great shape with all the original green paint there, but with slight expected evidence of use from some small scratches, scuffs, wear lines, but again nothing bad nor out of the ordinary. A great cookie cutter to complete your set of playing card symbol cookie cutters, or just a nice addition to any cookie cutter or baking utensil collection or an overall collection of kitchen utensils with green wood handles. Please note that we have other cookie cutters and many other kitchen items listed separately for sale. If you wish to purchase more than one, please e-mail us before placing the order since the shipping information has been inputted for a purchase of just one and will not calculate the savings you would get when purchasing more than one shipped together in the same package (we will need to handle this for you).

Hudson River Wood Inlay Vintage Picture Angel Nelson
Hudson River Wood Inlay Vintage Picture Angel With Trumpet. As with all Hudson River pieces this is beautiful hand made piece. The creation of an exclusive Hudson River Inlay begins first with a rough sketch by the artist. The next step is to capture the essence of the subject with just a few subtle lines that convey its motion and vitality. The result is a final line drawing that individual piece of art. Next, the woods are carefully selected to provide our artist with his pallette, with an eye to the natural grains and hues of the veneers that will give warmth and subtle shading in the finished work. The veneers are precision cut, then assembled and finished by hand to form the one-of-a kind wood image. The result is a masterful piece of marquetry art of unmatched beauty and elegance. This lovely angel is blowing her trumpet, the back of the picture has the above history, care instructions and a guide that tells the kind of each wood that was used and what part of the world it comes from. It is signed Nelson in the corner, 9 3/4 inches by 6 3/4 inches, in excellent condition and fully marked.

This is a good clean 8.7 long knife type wood handle or sometimes called a PERFECT HANDLE screwdriver. This one is marked by the maker, but is difficult to read, we believe it is DOLMAN and is in very good condition, with nice wood handle insert, no rust, and a good straight shaft and 1/4 wide tip. This is a good heavy duty screwdriver from the late 1800's era!

This 7 plate is printed in the unusual color combination of blue and brown. What is also unusual is the fishbowls in the border! The pattern name is Fisherman, and that is what the men are doing! This is an excellent gift for the fisherman in you family. Other than a small hairline at two o'clock and some minor wear at the edges, condition is good. Appearance is excellent. Take a look at the photos for the details. The plate was made by Enoch Wood & Sons in Staffordshire around 1835.
