Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: mid-1900's
Condition: New Old Stock
This is a like new old hardwood (ash) socket chisel handle with a leather end cap. The handle is 5.1" long overall x 1.08" diameter just behind the socket. The largest end of the socket or taper is .90" tapering to .6" at the small end of the taper. Since we show only a picture of one handle, and have more than one, we note that the others are the same size and shape, but the grain lines will very, but all are basically the same otherwise. We have several antique chisel handles in stock, and understand how difficult it is to find vintage chisel handles in new condition. Handles with the leather cap generally last longer, as the leather helps to keep the handle from splitting, and also cause less wear on your wood mallet, as the leather keeps the mallet from denting or chipped over the long haul. We generally have different sizes in stock, so if this is not the size you need, take a look at the others we have in stock.
