Manufacturer: Southern Potteries, Inc.
Southern Potteries, Inc. Blue Ridge Pottery ceramic dinner plate in their Mayflower pattern in the yellow color. Round plate measuring 9 1/2 inches in diameter and sitting 3/4 inch in height. Fully marked on underside base with the black printed circular mark including a graphic of mountains and a pine tree stating "Hand Painted-Underglaze, Blue Ridge, Made in U.S.A., Southern Potteries, Inc." with what we believe is a piece designator underneath, "11B".
We've provided 5 images including close-ups of the painted flowers and the manufacturer marking. Please note that the white "hot spots" are reflections from the camera lighting on the high gloss surface. While the plate looks fine on display and just seated on a table, on close inspection in bright light you will see that topside there are many, many small and medium sized surface scratches and rubbed marks as this vintage item was clearly used. This old piece, however, has no chips, cracks or crazing. There are some other pin/pit dots, tiny black and wear dots/spots, etc., general use, and some scratches on the underside.
Still usuable as an extra dinner plate with your existing set, or adding nice color in a country setting hanging on display on a wall or in a cabinet.
